Sonic Drive-In

This location is very hit and miss. Sometimes, the food is great. Sometimes, it’s barely cooked or missing. Very often, they’ll forget to add your extras in your drinks/​shakes. Service always seems to be very slow.

I am not a fan of most of the food at Sonic, but they do have good iced tea and good prices on soft serve ice cream. The occasional $.50 deals for hot dogs, corn dogs, or grilled cheese are nice for a quick cheap lunch/​dinner. With no Dairy Queen nearby, Sonic generally will satisfy my soft serve cravings.
This location has both the car hop option and a drive thru.

Why isn’t zero stars an option on here? If it is someone please tell me so I can go back and take away the star I was just forced to give this hell hole.
I tried to order the new 2 for $ 9.99 deal but sub the tots for mozzarella sticks on both. We pull up and they tell me the total is $ 17. So I ask why it’s so much and she says two mozzarella sticks are 7.50. So I ask if we still get tots and she says no. What shit kind of deal is that? So I ask why we don’t get the full 2 for $ 9.99 deal when we’re being charged full price for the mozzarella sticks. They add the tots and come back but this time the total is $ 22! I’m lost for words. We’ve been in line for 15 minutes and at the window for another 10 and still we’ve gotten no where. The manager then comes over and repeats our order and now there’s three drinks. Someone get me a translator. Finally the order is correct and its $ 20.03 my roommate and I just say fuck it so we can get the hell out of this place. We get home, open the bags, no mozzarella sticks.
The next time you think about going to this sonic just give the money you planned on spending to a homeless person because at least then you’ll feel good at the end of the transaction.

I usually have great service at this Sonic but lately when I receive my shake it’s not mixed very well. It’s mostly just ice cream with the peanut butter and fudge separate. They need a lesson how to mix the shakes properly.

I’m now convinced all sonics in the KC area are complete jokes. Pushed the button, was asked what I wanted, then silence for 5 minutes so I pushed the button again. Said they would send a carhop out… waited again 5 minutes and nothing. Everyone else was getting their orders taken while they apparently ignored mine. Been here longer than everyone else and still got my food after them. It’s really not that hard to work here and management really needs to get on it and fix this place.

My whipped cream was more frozen than my shake was. The burger I got was overcooked and cold. Use to like this place, but it has gotten worse in the last few months.

I only gave this place one star because giving zero stars is not an option. We literally sat here for 30 minutes waiting on 2 corndogs while the patrons in the car next to us got it in. Yes, she crossed the console and they made sweet, sweet love to the sound of Nick Jonas’s ‘Jealous’. I know, you think I’m kidding. I wish I was. Don’t get me wrong, I know what to expect when I come to sonic but this was ridiculous.

This is the worst Sonic I have ever been to. I worked at a Sonic in high school so I know how they’re supposed to operate. Some serious mismanagement is occurring here. I just drove off after waiting fifteen minutes in the drive thru for a drink. The entire time an employee was sitting in their car apparently on break. There were a total of four vehicles in the drive thru area and two in car ports. The level of incompetence must be astounding enough to be impressive. I hope this location goes under or is revamped by regional management. The times I have actually received service (always slow) the food has been sub par (yes, even for fast food). Drinks are usually on point but I don’t have time for this nonsense. I just went to the store and bought all the necessary ingredients for a cherry limeade and made one in under fifteen minutes!

Sonic breakfast is horrific! The guy running the drive thru is the slowest human I have ever seen. When a customer orders orange juice it would be nice if u explained that all u have to offer is orange soda, instead u assume your customers are to stupid to know the difference. Thanks for the 6 dollar bag of cold food!

I used to like Sonic for the limeades but aside from the two small pieces of limes in my drink, I don’t think there was any real lime in it as I believe there used to be.
I ordered the chicken cheese sandwich which had gross pulverized sheets of chicken gunk in it and flavorless cheese. that was paper thin/​almost invisible. The bun was supposed to be a ciabatta bun but it was a stale version of a regular bun just thicker.
The tater tots were under cooked, pale, lumpy and cold.
Service was ok.
I will not return to this location.

Absolute joke of a business, waited in line for 20 min in drive thru and not one person asked to take our order. They do not close till midnight so we were confused. Other people were ordering so once again confused. Joke of a place didn’t give them business don’t ever plan to.

In all honesty, I don’t go to Sonic for the food. Although the fare is fine for a burger or hot dog, the flavor and quality are nothing special. At that point, I would rather opt for a different fast food chain. Although I am pleased about the announcement that Sonic now offers several premium beef hotdog (100% beef) orders (I haven’t tried one yet, but I plan to!). However, what Sonic has that fast food burger chains do not are the drive-​in service and (more importantly) gigantic (44 oz) cherry limeades. For this alone it is worthwhile to grab an order from Sonic.
Happy hour from 1400 – 1700 for half-​priced fountain drinks.
