Just recently had the Tea for toes treatment with Amber, and it was so relaxing and refreshing! 50 minutes of detoxing foot soak, reflexology, all health sitting in a massage chair. Heaven! I loved the tea and Epsom salt soak treatment, along with the refreshing herbal foot scrub. I’ve always been so happy with all the treatments I have received at Oasis in the past also. They have great staff that seem to really care about your well being.

I want to clarify that this review is based purely upon the results of my hair. I have been to salon oasis for multiple services. The massages, facials and pedicures I have received have always been above any other place I’ve attended. Their customer service and atmosphere is great. That being said I feel it necessary to tell past and future clients about my experience. I went to salon oasis on December 26, 2015 for an ombré color and cut. Angela was my stylist. She was sweet, welcoming and we had a nice conversation. I was immediately comfortable behind her chair after seeing all of her certifications and finding out she trains/travels for Redken. I showed her a couple of pictures and ideas that I wanted done. I want to clarify that I realize how difficult doing an ombré can be. I’m realistic, I know that every persons hair is different and end results will never be exactly like a photo. We discussed what I wanted and moved forward. After she was done with my hair I wasn’t quite in love with it. I figured the way it was curled and the amount of product in my hair influenced that. I went home and after a few hours of smoothing my hair out, looking at it from different angles and listening to my mother’s opinion I became incredibly dissapointed. I called them the same day and they scheduled a redo free of charge for December 31, 2015. I felt so bad for complaining but I had to remind myself that I spent over $ 150 and didn’t get anything close to what I requested. I went to my next appointment incredibly nervous because I felt horrible for complaining and I didn’t want to offend Angela. She was great! Still friendly, welcoming and was eager to make it right. I told her I wanted it lighter. She started working on my hair. She foiled it with some sort of lightener which I assume is bleach because my ends are completely fried. I can’t be entirely sure on the product she used though. After I sat under the dryer for about 30 minutes she proceeded to take the foil out, washed my hair and slightly dried it. I was horrified with the result it put me in tears. It was as she said«chicken yellow.» She then told me not to worry. I was terrified. I held back tears the whole time. She once again foiled hair with a darker color. After all was said and done I ended up with a non blended, grey/green ombré and fried ends. The second I got in my car I bursted into tears and cried the whole way home. After speaking to three other stylists I now have to pay another $ 150 to fix the color and I will most likely have to cut 2 – 3 inches off. This is the first review I have ever written on a buisness in my life. I feel terrible for doing it but I feel it was necessary.

I went into this salon a week and a half ago for two appointments. I had a gift certificate for a 60-minute Swedish massage and a bikini wax. I was first and foremost impressed with the general appearance. The décor was attractive, complete with a little water fountain in the waiting area. There was the standard, gentle, «relaxing» music you would expect in a salon like this. I have no idea if the salon simply was not busy on the day I went, but there was no one in the waiting room and I was seated just long enough to fill out a brief questionnaire before I was greeted by my massage lady.(Masseuse? Do people say that?) Now, I have never had a professional massage before, so I had no idea what to expect and I have no basis for comparison when it comes to this, but what I experienced was something fantastic. My massage lady was extremely relaxing and made me feel very comfortable. By the end of my hour, I was ready for her to leave me alone so I could take a nap. I felt extraordinarily relaxed, and my whole body just felt. relieved. But then there was the bikini wax. Again, I have never had one, so I didn’t know what to expect. The girl, Kara, was professional and like the employee before her, made me feel unexpectedly comfortable. It HURT, more than I expected, but outside of that, I was satisfied with the experience. Kara was very helpful and explained exactly what I should expect afterward, as far as results and side effects. She even went so far as to give me her cell phone number, so I could reach her in case I had any questions after I left. I had some redness and irritation afterward for a few hours, but nothing extreme. I’m happy to report that more than a week later, I am still smooth and hair-free. TMI? Maybe. In conclusion, I was pleasantly surprised, but definitely satisfied with my experience at this salon. My only concern is how I’m going to start working a weekly massage into my personal budget!

I have visited many salons in the Kansas City area all the way from Overland Park up to Liberty and everywhere in between and I just love this spa. If you are even thinking of going to the Spa at Briarcliff for a facial go to Salon Oasis and book your facial with Laura K. You will get more bang for your buck. Laura really knows her stuff. I am a 39 year old woman and I have been getting facials regularly for at least 10 years. The facial I am currently really into is the Hydro facial. I can tell you most people don’t think I am 39. Most say I look 10 year younger, and that is thanks to getting regular facials. This past year I started having a major problem with adult acne that was onset because I stopped taking birth control. And we are talking about large puss and blood filled acne. So embarrassing that I didn’t even want to leave the house. That may sound like TMI but I am just being honest. I scheduled an appointment with Laura just to address this issue and she again did an amazing job explaining to me what was going on and a treatment plan to get my skin back to normal. She sent me home with a few samples of face wash and spot treatment. Last night was treatment number 3 in our game plan and I am happy to say that I am back to being comfortable with leaving the house even without makeup on now. :) Thank you Laura. I will be a forever customer of yours!

Is it possible to score this place a ‘0’??? My wife was greeted and told it would be a few minutes until her stylist was ready for her appointment. 40 minutes go by, and not a single staff member has spoken to her since to apologize for the long wait… at which point her stylist finally comes over and grabs her. My wife explains to her what she wanted her hair color and cut to look like. The stylist proceeds without explaining what she is doing and at the end of the process she was left with a $ 140 bill! We expected it to be expensive, but that is ridiculous! Needles to say we will not be returning here. I can’t believe they let her sit there for over 40 minutes without an apology or anything to let her know it would be a longer wait.
