When I first got on Unilocal I thought I would just write positive reviews.
Then I came to realize that sharing bad news is just as important. It was River Barbeque that made me change my mind.
Someone wrote that they had never been to a BBQ without smoke coming from it and I have to agree. In KC we take BBQ very seriously and the offering here is just embarrassing. Please do not eat here and think this is what KC BBQ is all about.
Overall I have been a big believer that you have to give a restaurant more the one chance. Not here I am one and done.
If the BBQ was any good they would not have had to add Chinese food to their offering.
Sorry this is a no go.

This place claims bbq, but I haven’t been to any other bbq pit that doesn’t have smoke coming out of it, its bbq from a bag, and baked beans from a bucket with room temp potatoe salad. You can tell from the hand written pulled pork special sign hanging in the window that they don’t have many customers. Go elsewhere your colon will thank you.

Pretty mediocre. If you’re in the area and craving barbecue, go to the Parvin exit and try Mama Jo’s instead.
The only reason I am a regular there is because I work in the area and Mama Joe’s is a bunch of highway driving, which, while acceptable, I can justify sacrificing quality for more usable lunch time.

Wow! never thought I would go back but somebody there got some smarts and changed the menu. Now half of the menu is BBQ and half of the menu is your typical Chinese drive thru. I would still strongly suggest never to touch any of their BBQ, but if your in the area with a limited lunch hour and cant make it to Lucky Dragon on Armour Rd. then this place will do on occasion. It by no means is the same quality as you would expect from a sit down Chinese place but in the area with a limited selection it is the only of its kind so it will do for now.
