I grew up in KC, and back then in the 60’s, Jack Henry was my favorite mens store on the Plaza. With Woolf Bros. a close second. Unfortunately, neither store exists anymore. JH is still in business, but not the same as it was. However, Pinstripes mens store on the Plaza, in my opinion, is the best for quality mens wear. A combination of the old Mr. Guy, JH, and WB, rolled into one. And, let’s not forget Houlihans mens wear, that was just across the street from where the current PInstripes is on the Plaza. That was also a great preppy establishment. As in the old days, their window displays are enticing. So, if you need quality mens duds, this is the place.

My new favorite store in the plaza… actually in all of Kansas City for the fact. I was super surprised when I walked in there to find a decent selection of Southern Tide apparel as well as Patagonia. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell. Although the store is fairly small it still has a good selection of clothing and they were available in pretty much every size as well.
