You may ask yourself, «How the hell do I choose a surgeon?!» The answer, of course, is to find one on Unilocal! Because, hey, you love my burger reviews, you’re surely gonna get some use out of what I have to say about my latest surgical experience, right? Well, here I am reviewing my surgeon and his staff. I gotta say, these guys were awesome. I had no idea going into it what I was in for, other than my general practitioner saying, «Whoa, I gotta send you to a surgeon for that!». If «it» is bad enough that your doctor says that, you better hope he’s using more than Unilocal to make his decision. Dr. Gehrke is one of those doctors with the«comedy bedside manner» so while he was very informative as to what was happening, he explained with humor and heart, as well. His staff spent all the time I needed to be as prepared as possible, always talking to me considerately without any condescension, and understanding that these were conversations that needed care and clarity. So, I scheduled my surgery for April Fool’s Day. They thought that was funny, too. And the surgery went off without a hitch. Dr. Gehrke and his staff(as well as everyone at the hospital) were really awesome, I couldn’t ask for a better experience… except if I weren’t to have it at all, of course. Considering that, they made the best of the situation for me, making sure I was cared for, informed, and given a good laugh in the process. I’m guessing my procedure was a success, because the thing that was there and needed to come out now seems to be gone. I totally appreciated how I was treated by both the surgical staff and everyone at the North Kansas City Hospital, as well. And this all just ain’t the Vicodin talkin’…
