This place has been closed for a while. We moved around this area in 2010 and hadnt seen it open.

This place should be great, but it’s just not gonna happen. I went there for a friend’s B-day on a Saturday night. I walked in and got a big smack of De ja vu. Remember what junior high dances were like? They were usually in a very large open room with everyone broke up into small groups and small crowds around the dance floor and refreshments. Thats the fell of Manhattans. This place is big, too big. It would take at least 100 – 150 people to make this place feel anywhere near full, consequently the 50 – 60 people that were there Saturday night made it feel empty even though it was not. The way everything is set up no matter where you are sitting you are likely staring directly at the dance floor giving it a stage like feel. I dont like to be on stage therefore I did not dance(neither did anyone else). The bar has a classy feel but fails to pull it all together. I would reccommend this place for wedding receptions or other large group events, but outside of large group events this place should be avoided. One highlight; cheap drinks. Domestic Pints were $ 2, not too shabby, but not good enough to earn a return trip.

This place is amazing! Instead of a long flight to NY, just step inside Manhattans Lounge right in my home town of Kansas City. The atmosphere and décor are adorable, check out the pics at Everything is spacious and clean. The bathrooms are so cool. Everything you might need from hair spray to toothpaste is in there. The bartender’s are friendly and there are all sorts of places to sit. Sit at the bar, lounge in the couches, cuddle in a booth. Love this place!
