KU Weight Management Program

What a very disappointing and emotional past couple of months it has been dealing with your center. First I was brought in for possible consideration for a study. I took the time off of work to come in with a group, listen to the presentation and fill out all the questions. Within a day I found out that I did not meet the eligibility guidelines, no big deal, I knew that was a possibility. But then the screener told me there was openings to join the management program out of pocket, yet again giving me some hope for what sounded very promising. So again, I go online, fill out the interest to just join out of pocket or via my insurance. Again, I have to leave work to go to yet another meeting to hear about the program and fill out more paperwork. This time advised I would hear from someone to make an appointment with their Dr within a week or so. 3 – 4 weeks go by and I have to reach out as I have heard from no one. So I contact someone the week of 11÷30−12÷04 and get scheduled for an appointment to see their Dr finally on Friday ¹²⁄₁₁ and to FINALLY and THANKFULLY get this started and on the road to a healthier and slimmer me. Then today I get a voice message advising that their Dr actually accepted another position and could no longer take new enrollments.
Why would a weight management program put any person through this, especially people fighting weight loss… Thank you for almost 2 months of a roller coaster experience with your facility and false hope.
