Seriously love the fried rice and the crab Rangoon. So damn good. I try to stop when I come back in town !!!

Came in for lunch. Order was wrong on two counts. They corrected it, mostly, and then the order wasn’t spicy as requested. They then forgot to bring chili out after the request. Sauce, besides not being spicy, was a tasteless brown. Fried rice was white rice with splotches of soy sauce. Server was distracted and not attentive. My order was cold by the time they finally corrected it. Oh, and they gave me the bill when they brought the food. Giving 2 stars instead of one because I’ve had a good meal here before in the past. I might give them one more try.

GROSS!!! Ordered delivery. The food was lacking quality an the flavors freaked me out. Legit the meat for the generals chicken was a mystery to me an I’m not quite sure what I was eating. The sauce for the generals chicken was entirely to sweet. I also ordered the beef lo mein noodles. I’ve never had lo mein noodles that tasted expired or just off. well these did! I won’t be ordering here again.

Kin Lin doesn’t know the difference between white and fried rice. This seems to be a skill that most should have. The people at Kin Lin do not, apparently.

*****WARNING***** I ordered the General Tso chicken with fried rice & a crab rangoon. First, the rice had no veggies or egg. The rice literally was chunks of white rice with soy sauce. Second, the chicken was so soggy & flavorless. Third, my only hope I had left was the crab rangoon… I was sadly mistaken… poor little crab rangoon was so soggy. I am just a hungry lady working retail who wanted some cheap delicious food… fail.

WARNING****!Worst Chinese food I think I’ve had. My general Taos chicken was soggy, my crab Rangoon wasn’t crunchy, and my «fried rice» was a mixture of white rice and soy sauce mixed together. No veggies nothing. Absolutely disgusting. Steer clear!!!

Service upon Entering: lady at the register was very unpleasant. first time i appeared in the restaurant, and i stood there with my brother, unsure of what to do. «What do you want», she almost snaps at us to accompany the scowl she wore. «oh, we are hear for lunch»(I don’t know, what else could we have said? quite an uncomfortable first impression). «Okay okay, go have a seat» she waves us off like a mother waving her children out of the room because they ate unwanted there. Food: if you are hungry, you will get your food Fast. Lunch specials come at a good amount, $ 5.99 for select entrée that cokes with your choice of fried/steamed rice and crab rangoon/spring roll. My brother ordered the curry beef, and i ordered kung pao chicken. strange interpretation of curry beef… they mixed undercooked french fries into the saucey presentation of beef. fried rice = rice fried in soy sauce. I think I am very capable of pouring soy sauce into my rice, thank you. kung pao chicken was definitely spicy, and it was immersed in its gooey-ness of a sauce. bell peppers tasted like they were cut up a minute before the food was served and thrown into the sauce to heat up. Crab rangoon? I shoudlnt waste my time commenting on this one. Kin lin was the worst of the worst sort of chinese in kc. Panda express scores much higher in my books if critiquing food quality only. Kin lin was like walking through a bad school cafeteria that was serving a ‘Chinese Special!’ but walk from the line with dull slather of. goo and random hodgepodge(i.e. french fries in beef curry? ew, still cannot get over that). Please, what you eat here —- it is an embarrassment to what decency is left of chinese food around the kc. May i suggest red snapper or new Peking instead? Service at Checkout: we had no clue whether the server was going to come by to get our payment for us or to pay at their booth or out front. Whatever, we went to the front where the lady was spoke heatedly to her customer. Poor guy, he was very confused what sort of service he Shouldn’t expect from ordering a takeout with kinlin. When it was me and my brother’s turn to pay, we tried so hard to speak pleasantly to her, but she persisted in her nonsense. ‘kung pao chicken $ 6.27′ rips+tosses recepiet in my direction* same procedure with my brother. And, still, i said, «thank you, have a good rest of the day». «mmm»(the lady) walks away, nose high, raised brows, no eye contact, lofty expression —- exact way she welcomed us to kinlin. Bottom Line: go there again? I hope never. Certainly not for good food nor service

The staff are really nice and friendly. I especially liked the male waiter because he knows how to crack good jokes. I forgot who exactly the lady was, but she explained to us about the type of food that they have serving at this place. For the record, we are a chinese family and so we often look for places that have authentic food. So we ordered the chinese broccoli(probably the best one we ordered here), chicken fried rice, and beef chow fun. We also got steamed white AND brown rice. So the chicken fried rice and beef chow fun were not bad. Taste was not superior enough to be called, «the best», but I liked the fact that it was not greasy! I HATE the feeling of greasiness. For the most part, this place has a good healthy touch to it since, again, they give steamed brown rice at no charge(if I remembered correctly… you may have to ask in case I am wrong) and it’s not too greasy. My sister and I ordered the wonton soup, but that is because we thought it was wonton NOODLE soup or the same wonton used very commonly in wonton noodle soup. Well, *my bad* it was not. It’s pretty much fusion-type of wonton… so like pork was inside and then the soup had those vegetable in it. I’m sorry, I like the real shrimp pork wonton they use at the oriental restaurants. Anyway, the menu did not contain a ton of authentic options(at least maybe not for the cantonese culture), but the food wasn’t too bad! I would go out here if I had little choices left to be made or if I just want to be near their cool staff(seriously, I like them), but otherwise I don’t have too much to say nor complain about this place. It’s ALRIGHT. And yes, the place is relatively. Kinda dark except at the tables. Place has a cool vibe to it.

Often times, for people like me who like to customize dishes and/or are allergic to issues, it can be tough to order out by phone. In fact, it can be tough to order out by phone since you can practically hear the person rolling their eyes at your needy requests. I get it; it’s annoying for them to accommodate special orders. Sometimes you get that here, but sometimes they have college kids working the counter who are super accommodating and there’s less of a language barrier. If they are annoyed by special orders, they don’t show it. They’re so pleasant to order from! Delivery can be dicey. Sometimes they’re super busy and it’ll take a while, but they’ve always indicated so when that’s the case. «We’re busy– delivery will take over an hour. If you come and pick up, it’ll take 5 – 10 minutes.» Thank you– pick up it is! All the dishes I’ve gotten from them have been delicious. The almond chicken has a really light(borderline watery) sauce; the chicken tastes very fresh. I prefer the Kung Pao chicken since I like a thicker, spicy sauce. When you ask for it to be super spicy, they do so! Some restaurants can be shy with heat, not wanting to overdo it for you. For someone like me who likes it the hotter the better, this place kicks it up as requested! Their potstickers have a generous meat-to-dough ratio. There is a good hunk of filling, then it’s wrapped in a dough thick enough to be rigid when fried, but not super thick like a bao. I haven’t been disappointed here, other than a typical but still slightly frustrating phone ordering experience once. So, this place stacks up better than many.

Loved the Triple Sweet & Sour(Pork, Chicken & Shrimp). The sauce was not the fake red kind, but the delicious homemade stuff that is so hard to find and infinitely tastier. I was also a fan of the crab rangoon and the hot & sour soup… though I like mushrooms in mine. David, our server was amazing. He’s funny, had great suggestions and really cared that our meal was perfect, even helping my friend craft the perfect dish when she told him what she likes. Score! We came on a Friday evening and by the time we left the place was packed, it’s easy to see why. Whether for a casual meal, or a date, the relaxing atmosphere, great food and service can’t be beat.

This restaurant is owned by people who have no idea how to give good customer service. Within my group of friends/co-workers we have experienced the following: Being overcharged by the older male owner and having him refuse to print a receipt to prove that he did not overcharge(you know how when you get the same thing all the time you know the exact price and if it was suddenly higher, you would notice – it was one of those situations. The funny thing is that it was a lower price the next time). Being charged less than a dollar for a meal, but then having a staff member write in the tip amount to bring up the total to an accurate amount without just bothering to correct it or get consent from the customer. When the customer pointed it out, the senior male owner and the staff person argued in front of the customer about it. Having a menu item entirely excluded from the bill and when the customer was honest so that the item could be added to the bill, receiving, «Why didn’t you tell me?» as a response. Umm. that is what is being done here. What is the problem? Receiving unprofessional behavior from the hired servers on a repeated basis, including inappropriate flirting and physical touch. Never a single time ever, literally ever, where dine in service was accurate. Either the rice was wrong, the dish was wrong, the drink was not brought out, the app was wrong. Always. Without fail. A pill in the food, as in an unknown medication – this was treated with suspicion towards the customer and zero apology by the oldest female owner despite the fact that the customer had been a regular for over a decade. The individual did not even have her full meal(maybe $ 10 max) comped by the owners in order to compensate for the dangerous and disturbing event. A dead bug in the food, as in literally in the brown sauce. This was for a take out order. The customer was asked to bring the food back to prove it! And then a refund was reluctantly given. Someone received the wrong order from delivery. When she called to have it corrected, they delivered the correct food and then took back the dish that she had already received and opened. There was no question like, «did you eat this?» and no seeming concern that it was contaminated. The dish was taken back by the delivery person presumably to give the the correct person. Yeah – that is what I can remember off the top of my head.

I came here for lunch with a coworker and we ordered to go meals. We were pleasantly greeted when we walked in. The front cashier was very nice and cheerful. I ordered the kin Lin chicken with steamed rice and an egg roll. It was just ok. A little bland. The spring roll was small. I’ll probably order something a little spicier next time. The friendly staff and proximity to work is what will get me to come back. If I had poor service it would’ve been an easy no, so props to the friendly staff.

Very close to campus but no roo bucks here. The waiter was ok, not very helpful about items. The food was very tasty and the rice was on point. I would eat here again. Or may use this as my new main takeout.

I did a call to pick up order. The phone customer service was super rushed and I felt the need to call back to finish the conversation but didn’t. Walking there the place seems to be nice for dining. A bit dark and basement like. A man was taking a call and there was about three customers waiting. Finally someone came around and it happen to be the same lady who rushed me over the phone and was now rushing again. I got the beef and broccoli with steam rice for about $ 9. To high for my blood for just this and it wasn’t even a shareable size. I came after lunch hour so maybe the prices are extremely better. At first glance it did not look appetizing at all. I went ahead to begin eating and the sauce I thought I was about to taste was only somewhat flavored broth. Which none of it stuck to the veggies or meat. So I had steamed broccoli with over cooked beef that was so bland I had to ask another to try it out to see if I was being dramatic. This dish would, if had to, kill a lady bug with its bare hands for salt. It desperately needed. It was so serious. No trace of Chinese flavor what so ever. But if you like fresh over cooked meat this may be your place. They should consider changing it from Chinese to fresh eats.

This is within walking distance of my work and I’d never been there until yesterday. The lunch specials are a good deal. Large servings with rice and a crab Rangoon included. Food itself was too sweet Americanized Chinese, with too many vegetables to chicken. Spicy was not. Very fast service. I’ll probably try it once more and see if other dishes are better. But not soon.

This is a good Chinese place near my house. I usually just take out on my way home and order the stuff I am used to eating. Friday I had dinner with my son and we decided to go there and eat in. It was my first time sitting down there and eating in. Their menu is huge and as I was looking through it the waiter came by. He just asked me a couple of questions and said to not worry about the menu… he’d make me something. Same for my son. Granted, it helps him with his table turnover but it certainly did not come off that way. He did a great job and we both had great meals. With very good service like that given to everyone it can make for delays in service when you are looking for your waiter. Its worth the wait. We are looking forward to going back soon. Its a bit too far to walk in the cold but when it warms up we will probably be riding bikes there on a regular basis. Fantastic food and very good waiters.

It’s been a long, long time since I’ve had Chinese food. I think when I first discovered Thai food it opened up a whole new door for me and I don’t find myself craving take-out Chinese like I once did. Kin Lin is somewhat close to home and I’m down on that strip a lot so I decided to pop in. The price was right, so I went with a Kung Pao lunch special to-go. I have to say, there were a good amount of fresh vegetables in it and the chicken was chicken, not mystery meat. That being said, it still had a bit of a cafeteria style to it and wasn’t overly flavorful. I won’t be in a rush to go back but nice to know it’s there.

I met with five others here for dinner. The restaurant was a little hard to find if you’re not familiar with the area and parking was either in the back parking lot of on the street in front. I came at 7:30pm on a Friday and it wasn’t really busy. Everybody already ordered so I had no idea what to expect. I just knew there was a menu that wasn’t physically written anywhere which meant those were legit dishes. I took a picture of the receipt so I will list out the dishes that were ordered. They ordered the Winter Melon Spare Ribs Soup($ 10.95), Smoked Pork($ 12.95), Hot and Spicy Boiled Fish($ 12.95), Pickled Vegetables with Chang Meat($ 9.95), General Tao’s Chicken($ 8.15), and Sauteed Broccoli($ 8.95). I was testing out my macro flash so all of my pictures were taken with my 100 mm macro lens so all the pictures were way too close but that’s fine. I didn’t try the Winter Melon Spare Ribs Soup or the Hot and Spicy Boiled Fish, but I tried everything else. The Smoked Pork was tasty and a little spicy. The Pickled Vegetables with Chang Meat was good and also a little spicy. If you’re not a fan of spicy foods, then I would stay away from those since one of the guys in the group couldn’t eat spicy foods and those two were pretty hot for him. The General Tao’s Chicken was alright and the Sauteed Broccoli was good. I thought the food here was good and inexpensive. I wouldn’t mind coming back to try other dishes.
