After moving to Kansas City six months ago from «bi-​costaling» in Las Vegas and Florida, I am really impressed.
City government services seem fairly priced and reliable. There are plenty of parks, attractions and activities, and nite life.
The people are a definite upgrade.

Nice place to live for a balance of entertainment options and cost of living. Some areas are a little rough but a few blocks away its a beautiful neighborhood. Police are responsive and for harass anyone for stupid things like Johnson County (I was pulled over in Leawood KS for having the wrong color turn signal bulbs).
Housing prices are amazing with several investment opportunities if you are willing to do a little work. The schools are poorly rated and often mismanaged so if you have you have younger children you may with to check out Lees Summit.
