Have been to this establishment in both locations. Love the move to Briarcliff and keep trying to support it but hate it when the espinacca is runny! What’s up with that??? Had to actually send it back yesterday on our visit… was like yellow water!

I’ve always had pretty good luck at this location. Service is always quick and attentive. Management is always on top of things. The best time to go is happy hour. You can’t beat the carnitas nachos for $ 4 and the drink specials are even better. If you go on Tuesday night, ask for Evans section in the bar area. He’s a great server and quite the comedian! Part of the reason we frequent this location.

We arrived around 6:00 on Sunday evening. It was not busy, but a reasonable crowd. You can’t go wrong with the drink specials(2 for $ 7 margaritas — all day). That being said — the food was okay. The salsa was too chunky for me — I don’t like sprigs of cilantro in my dish along with a third of an onion. The reason for the two-stars really comes from the service. Our waiter was not friendly — too many sarcastic comments, not enough action.(Asking for water and salsa THREE times — and then finally asking someone else…) The final straw was when he kept coming over every five minutes to ask us if we were leaving and then finally bringing the broom over and saying«I’m going to hit your toes» as in, move your feet so I can sweep around you. We were eating and drinking — and would have ordered more drinks if it didn’t feel like they didn’t want us there. Keep in mind, this was all over an HOUR before closing time. What a bust.

This was the worst service i have ever recieved. Worst decision to go to jose peppers. I was extremely dissapointed as i know that the experience was and usually is excellent. But we waited maybe 12 minutes for our complementary chips and salsa. It was the most ass backwards service ever. The things we asked for were almost immediatly forgotten. It seemed that everyone was to busy or worried about cleaning and doing side work than taking care of the customers whuch there were less than 3 so service should have veen better as they werent even busy.

Went in around 2 pm on a Sunday. Place was ¾ full. Wife and I sat at the bar. Bartender was great. We had the carnita tacos and a taco salad. But the main reason we went is for drinks. Had the house margarita and it was instant heart burn and I could not finish. Then ordered a red sangria wow Horrible. I would try again but stick with beer.

Love this place! We go whenever we don’t want to cook or after work to relax a little. Yummy food. Affordable prices. Try the steak enchilada! Delicious! Margaritas are 2 for 1 and they are really good. Waiters are nice, although my last one was kind of clumsy and slow.

Always above average service, good prices and the best chips, espinaca, food and clean atmosphere. The manager is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend. Come Sun-Fri 3 – 6 for nice food and drink prices.

I ordered 3 carryout orders and picked them up on my lunch break. When I brought them back I realized one was incorrect. I called and let them know what happend and unfortunately could not leave work again to pick up the correct order. They went ABOVEANDBEYOND and brought the correct order to my work down the street. And it tasted amazing. I am wowed by this awesome customer service!

I come to this location at least once a week as I live close by. The servers are hit and miss with how great of service you’ll have. We found our favorite and have stuck with him. The food is good and the margaritas are too. During happy hour and on Monday/Tuesday they have $ 2 margaritas. They get takeout orders correct and include chips & salsa. Lastly, they have a rewards program where you get cheese dip on every other visit.

I have eaten here several times. Once in the bar, which I would not recommend. It is loud, and you feel rushed. Dining in the restaurant is better. The wait staff is friendly and fast. The food is good and arrives quickly. The down side is ordering take out. Not recommended. The bartender ignored me until another staff member came over. He was rude, and even after finding out why I was there, chose to wait on the customers at the bar. The hostess finally came over and handed me my food. When I got back home, I discovered no utensils were in with it or napkins. If not for the bar staff, I would given a 3 or 4.

We ordered takeout from Jose Pepper’s on a Friday evening. They did a great job of getting our order correct(which is often not the case when ordering takeout from other restaurants on busy nights). They also put their takeout orders in containers that can easily be reheated in the oven, another plus. All of the entrees were delicious, my favorites were the pork burrito and the spinach enchiladas. We also enjoyed an order of the mini chimichangas which held up remarkably well for a takeout order. I love that they give you plenty of chips and salsa with your take out too. The other awesome thing is that you can order the espinaca dip with any entrée for just a few extra bucks. I can’t imagine Jose Pepper’s without the espinaca dip! We were thrilled to find that we have a Jose Pepper’s in NKC; they are nestled in Briarcliff Village.

Jose peppers in Briarcliff is on a rescue mission for the location, and the new look is a move in the right direction. Big bar fills the right side of the entrance, left is an open, bright, dining area with cleaner lines than most Mexican places, add TV’s on all the walls and has kinda of businessman’s sports bar Mexican food stop. I’m looking forward to my cinco de Nuevo lunch, oh’lay Two seconds in the booth and the wait staff start slinging chips and salsa at everyone. The chips were fresh, light, warm, lightly salted and with the salsa, perfect. Man do I love chips and salsa. Many times I’ve been tempted to not order, but just enjoy this Mexican treat. Today was no different, had to get some chicken and beef enchiladas, and they were tasty, generously portioned for lunch and satisfied the Mexican fix I started developing when we chose the location. We all ordered standard dishes, all were pleasantly satisfied, and all agreed this was a good addition to Briarcliff. Next time I’ll taste the hotter salsa, try one of their speciality dishes, and wash it down with a modelo… I’ll chart a path to cross this location again very soon… it was a tasty path today…

First time in since the café, the space looks nice, bright colors grounded w/grey as well as natural wood floors, and the Mexican décor is tasteful. They use service teams which can be off putting if you are unaware. They also all wear bluetooths which seems unnecessary based on the size of the space. to Our main server was super efficient, great at anticipating, but servers who look over their shoulder as they ask you a question, or approach the table to do check back and begin to leave before you’ve answered, always leave us feeling there is a lack of sincerity. The food was fine, salsa is very fresh. Everything was a little salty, greasy, and if it’s possible — wait for it — there was too much cheese. My black beans were weird — actually had my husband try them because I couldn’t figure it out-he said tasted like the were cooked w/beef bouillon. Our server also dropped our check soon after our dinners were dropped, asking if we were saving room for dessert-um I don’t know, I’m eating my dinner. Restaurants often employ this during lunch as diners are in a hurry, not during dinner on sat night. Like I said it was fine.

Had not been in the Briar Cliff since it opened. We decided to give it a shot. The décor and layout is open but quiet. Colorful. Espinaca dip, good as usual. I actually like more spinach and I got it today. I had asked for espinaca(queso) on my burrito. Well that didn’t happen. The expedite was happy to have it corrected but it wasn’t a show stopper. The rice was… rice isn’t supposed to crunch. It was way undercooked. In all gave a 3 cause it wasn’t spectacular or real good. Hope they get it together. For their location there are other options.

When The Café at Briarcliff went out of business, I was kind of sad — not that I frequented it much(so I guess I was part of the problem) but Briarcliff Village is close to my house and I hate to see locally owned and operated businesses fail. Well, worry no more, because Jose Pepper’s has taken over the space and made it their own. Portions are generous and the food is great, nothing fancy, just standard Mexican fare, but they keep the chips and salsa coming, prices are reasonable and service has been outstanding on my visits. We hope to return much more often than we ever went to The Café, let’s keep this place in business!

Conveniently located from our hotel, Courtyard, we decided to try Jose’s. Bright and colorful interior with fast friendly service! I ordered the nachos from the appetizer which is a shareable amount– see image. It was full of flavor and cheesy goodness. One other person at the table ordered the bee chimichanga which she loved. It included a dollop of masa to cleanse the palette. Great experience and I hope they build one in Atlanta! Shout out to Adam our server for the great service!

Standard Mexican fare although with a taco salad, I didn’t have anything too complex to build on. However, the service was FAST, efficient and friendly. I liked it enough to make note and come back when I return to town.

It’s in the neighborhood and I really want it to be good. Have made three visits and something is wrong or off-putting each visit. The atmosphere is very bright; almost sterile. The food has a lot of cheese on it. They can’t make a margarita. Servers say«I just hate it when I order food and I don’t like it» and then walk away. Chips are light and good. The espinaca dip is good. Three tries and fast food looks better.

The service was still off a little today. I usually eat at the belton store and the service is great there. So I have high expectations. The food was real good.
