I have been to this IHOP a couple times before, but I think my last visit will be all for a long time. We didn’t have to wait for a table or long for service. Nor did we have an unfriendly waitress. The BIG Issue was apparently our waitress was having a bad day with someone else. She was LOUDLY discussing it with another worker and proceeded to LOUDLY say the f word. Both my boyfriend and I looked at each other and then over at our kids, who luckily did not hear. Completely unprofessional in our opinion and uncalled for, if she wanted to use that sort of language maybe she should not work at a family restaurant. The other reason I won’t be going back is the highly inflated prices on extras. I got a tiny bowl of fruit for my kids to share, $ 3.30WHAT??? Had I known it was that expensive I’d never have gotten it. I got extra pancakes with my meal, $ 5 again WHAT!!! for $ 5 I could have made 3 boxes of pancakes. Again had I known it was gonna be that expensive I’d never have gotten them. And then the juice glass of soda I got was $ 2.19 seriously??? I know it’s unlimited refills but come on I can go to quicktrip and get 64ozs of soda for $.69 in just think corporate needs to reevaluate the prices they charge for extras, it’s crazy.

Regular IHOP, clean, fear, outstanding customer service, our server was really polite, food was fair, the only thing i dint like is the hostess it seems she was in a bad mood.

Verified the reason I don’t care for IHOP Restaurants. I’ve watched the host pick up two menus off the floor and put one back in the stack of menus and the other back on the table without wiping either off. They just don’t understand clean.

Very rude waiters. I get your working on the holidays, but giving an attitude is NOT necessary. Restaurant was smokey, and my eyes were starting to hurt and my dad was coughing. I asked if they could open a window or door for a little and the guy replied very rudely.

Great service — Weird for IHOP. Brioche French toast delicious. They also have turkey bacon and turkey sausage which is rare. No Groupon accepted.

My over medium eggs were nearly cold when I got them as were the hash browns. Plus I ordered a side of toast which arrived after my food.

As a family with young children we hit IHOPs pretty often due to the kids eat free. This IHOP is not a participant in that deal, but I suppose that is our fault for not calling ahead. The reason for the low review is due to an all around poor quality visit. We went for dinner and it was pretty empty. Our waitress, an assistant manager, continually informed us that she was having a bad day. The quality of our food was below par for an IHOP. It also REEKED of burnt/old cooking oil as soon as we entered. A pretty poor overall visit. We enjoy IHOP but will not return to this location.

IHOP offers meals all day long, but we tend to hit it for breakfast. We walked in the door this morning, BAM…20 min wait… oh well, just time to check out the menu. I would recommend the place for plain olé’ bacon and eggs, but if you’re feeling like a pick-me-up, go big… they really offer great breakfasts upgrades. Let’s start with their several variations of waffles and french toast, including strawberry, banana and other toppings and flavored syrups, like blueberry, butter pecan, and many more. Not enough sugar for you, extra powdered sugar will put you over the top. I went for the bananas foster brioche french toast combo, with scrambled eggs and bacon, with extra powdered sugar, of course. The French toast is sweet, so watch out, but I love sweets. The sauce makes the meal, a sweet brown sugary flavored dark sauce, coupled with bananas, and the toast, dang it’s good… used up all the sauce, then went with the butter pecan to finish things off… great meal. My boys, take after dad, but went the standard French toast combo route, with strawberry sauce and bananas… both plates were empty, even caught my youngest using a knife and spoon working to eat every last drop of the sauce… pretty sure they liked it. Sweets not what you crave, the omelets start with cheese, and then you can add almost anything. Need some meat, try the standard breakfast answers, but they also offer steak, ham, chicken, or just about anything you can dream up. The wife grabbed a 3-egg colorado omelet, which was huge. It was filled with meat, cheese, hash browns, tomatoes and onions. She took half of it home. It came with a stack of three pancakes. All in all, IHOP offers good quick food at a good price, and it’s definitely worth the wait, if you arrive after 10…

The wife was craving pancakes, so IHOP is usually a layup. This location had some issues when we visited. Firstly, and this is more of a hostessing issue, they sat all of our server’s tables at once. 2 of them were large groups. It took a while for our order to even be taken due to this. The store manager had to come out and assist the server in getting orders in because she was swamped. Secondly, the food quality this day was also a little low. All of these issues can be chalked up to the kitchen. My wife’s hash browns were burnt in spots. Mine were a little overdone, but I like my hash browns crunchy. My bacon was rubbery. And, probably the cardinal sin here, my pancakes were under done. On the plus, my eggs were fine and the other meat I had(I get the Breakfast Sampler, which comes with bacon, ham, and sausage) was fine. My wife got apple juice, which she said wasn’t cold. So maybe we hit them on a bad day. I’m willing to give them another chance, but if we have another experience like that one, we won’t be returning.

Me and my daughter went to IHOP to eat last night. According to kids eat IHOP lets children under the age of 12 eat free on Wednesday nights. Obviously this does not apply to the Parkville IHOP. Even after showing them the webpage they refused to honor it. But on the plus side as much as their waitstaff is lacking ability the kitchen seems to be doing a wonderful job

Went there today for their AWESOME french toast and coffee. Was pleasantly surprised that the place was clean, the menus looked new and not sticky, the coffee pots were new and clean, and our server was wonderful. I’m sorry I didn’t remember her name, but she was attentive without being intrusive. Our booth was clean and again, not sticky. Ate every bite of that french toast and enjoyed every sip of the coffee. Keep up the great work, IHOP.

Hmm I mean what is there to say about this place? It hits the spot every time. The staff is great and the chocolate chip pancakes are actually chocolate chip pancakes and not just regular olé pancakes with chocolate chips sprinkled over them. PS one question, why is it that everytime I get a straw it’s wet? I really only come here for the chalula sauce

Went for breakfast. I ordered the Colorado omelette. I must say it was pretty good. It was also a lot of food! Im full as i write this actually. The hash browns that came on the side were also delicious. The various waitresses that helped ua were very helpful. Full cups and various check-ins throughout my meal. They were also very nice and social. Had quite a few laughs with them. The atmosphere is nice except for the fact that itaspretty loud for my taste. I guess thats to be expected from a place like this. All in all it was a great trip and ill most likely be back.

Came here for breakfast and entered a clean restaurant with friendly staff. We were seated promptly and are waitress took our drink order while we decided on what to eat. She was pleasant and friendly, I asked if we could have our orders on separate tickets which she didn’t mind, I ordered the chicken fried steak and over easy eggs with hash browns, the order comes with a side of pancakes. My meal was good and everything tasted good, the only drawback was what would have been the last couple bites was all crust no meat so I didn’t eat it. The restroom was decent, the sink needed a good cleaning but who knows it might have gotten dirty from a recent customer prior to their scheduled clean up.

Really a great place to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. — open 24 hours — clean(mostly, but sometimes durring the breakfast rush the tables are still sticky after getting cleared) — Hands down the BEST pancakes anywhere! — caloric /nutritional info available for download.(Ask for sugar free Cary’s syrup. Only 30 cal per ¼ cup) — this is a really hard place to get into on nice weather Sundays. It seems like everyone is dining here. — I’m a Coke person but they only sell Pepsi here. — the downside of this place is their restrooms need major renovation. Chipped and dirty surfaces everywhere.

I’ve gotten into the habit of eating here on weekends, as I can find something pretty healthy at a reasonable price, and enjoying Sunday comfort food. Recently a lot of Unilocal’ers were writing about breakfast places, and either I was too ashamed to admit I eat here, or it completely slipped my mind that I come to this IHOP often for breakfast. It was actually recommended by my nutritionist as there’s a lot of transparency in their menu because they list the calorie count with each of the entrees. I like the slim and fit menu or something like that, and get the egg substitute scrambled eggs(not always easy to find) and the healthy grain pancakes as well as turkey bacon. Not exactly your image of IHOP. Sure there are a lot of high calorie gut busting artery clogging entrees, but I don’t even consider those — at least not anymore — but for about $ 10 you can get a healthier alternative very quickly in okay surroundings. Service is usually attentive, but I’ve gone at their busy times and almost ignored by my server, but my glass is usually refilled with water and I get plenty of coffee. Europeans would be horrified that the check comes even before your meal, but it makes payment at the cash register a lot faster than leaving payment on the table. Is it Sunday yet?

As far as I am concerned, the best IHOP in Kansas City. Always clean, staff is always on top of making sure you have everything you need

OHNOES! Used to be one of our top places to eat for breakfast. But now after our last visit on 7÷4÷12, we will never be back. I’m going to keep this short and simple. They’ve kept their basic menu outline but changed how they make their food. Everything was all wrong, quality has been thrown out the window. Still great service, but food sucked. End of story.

If it’s 2 a.m. on a Saturday into Sunday and your a bit hungry and haven’t had your fill of people watching for the evening, just take a trip to this IHOP(or probably any of them). It’s IHOP. The food is not great. Certainly not good for you. But it’s available for a reason and I happen to like pancakes. I’ve been to this one a few times. When I have stopped in on a random weekday morning before a flight out of KC, I have found the wait staff to be efficient and hospitable. The last time I was there was a Saturday(it was really very early Sunday … who am I kidding?). The place seemed to be short staffed. And, of course, there was a surge of people because they were grabbing some food after a night out at the bars or maybe before going to after prom because there was a limo out front and some teenagers who had issues in figuring out what they even ordered. Anyhow, we waited about 10 minutes and were then seated. Given how busy it was, this was not unexpected and it wasn’t a huge deal for us. Our waitress did an OK job trying to manage tables but was clearly flustered. She was not alone. There was a waiter who was super annoyed with his co-workers. Why? Because he had tables to serve but kept getting stuck behind the cash register based on what I saw when we were trying to pay. He wasn’t silent about his frustrations and asked other wait staff to «stop standing around and serve my tables!» I guess he was a firm believer in catching more flies with vinegar instead of honey. It wasn’t working for him. And it was awkward … and slightly amusing. We also had the opportunity to play a rousing game of: «Who is the Drunkest in the Room!?» and«Is that an escort or does that person just dress that way?» Good times!
