I started my musical journey here and it was a nightmare i learned nothing i had to purchase a guitar center book and never cracked it open. My teacher raul had me doing finger excises the whole time and he did not even try to explain anything except text on his phone. When he finally tried to teach me a song at the end of my last lesson i asled raul a question. The response was unacceptable raul told me lesson was over to find it on line. I canceled my lessons and allowed them to keep my money instead of arguing with them. This was my last thing i could put up with during my time there the unprofessional behavior of the employees the anti police comments the high pressire sales teachers were more interested in texting then teaching their students this is one of the worst experiences ive ever had in a major retailor. Fortunately i dont see alot of the same people there that caused the problem. I refuse to take lessons or make a major purchase at any guitar center the fact if you spend 1200 the they give you a instrument that has hung on a wall and had hundres of people handle it chip it scratch it ive even been told you should buy this because no one will have it in a box their all out on yhe floor. If i do go to guitar center i drive to Independence or to ovetland park i refuse to spend money at the north store.

I have my son in guitar lessons here and I am in piano self-taught lessons here. Excellent staff and interaction. Lessons are pricey, either for 1 hour or ½ hour, but the students are able to come in anytime during the week for a drop-in session with the instructor. They also have jam nights for the kids to show off what they learned. I am glad I put my son in guitar here as he has progressed nicely. Recommended!
