Grade-A Tree Care

This review is solely based on customer service as I did NOT use Grade-​A Tree Care for any of their tree removal services. I contacted Grade-​A via their website and received an email within 10 minutes. Once I provided them with my address I was sadly told that I wasn’t in their service area (I’m North of the river) but provided me with a company that would be able to help.
SO, while I can’t talk about their tree removal abilities, I think their customer service is pretty great and I appreciated their prompt reply and friendliness. In my opinion, that says a lot about a business!

We hired this company 2 months before we eventually fired them. After originally hiring them, they said they would be out in 2 weeks to complete the work. We heard «2 weeks» for 2 months. We would have to track them down, call and leave messages, work pretty hard to get them to respond only to have them not show up again and again. Never a call or explanation as to why they no showed. Recent storms and major tree damage in the area is not an excuse to say you will show up and leave us waiting. There are too many great tree services in the area to put up with this company and their horrible customer service. As a side note, the only apology or response my husband or I have gotten from this company is on a public Facebook review.

I decided to use this company b/​c of the Unilocal reviews, and I can honestly say everyone was right!
Phil, the owner, answered the phone himself, was early to our first appointment and one of the kindest men I’ve met since moving to KC. He defines Kansas City kind!
Fast forward to the day our trees are coming down — total professionals. Called in advance, set up cones to protect my sprinklers and lights, introduced themselves to the neighbors and were clean, neat and efficient.
The work was expertly done. They even trimmed some of my shrubs «just b/​c they needed it»!
I always give credit where credit is due — and Phil and his team deserve A++ ratings on Unilocal! (as I can see some of his other customers agree!)

We have had a terrific experience with the Grade A crew. Not only did they visit quickly to address partially broken and potentially dangerous branches following storm damage, but they provided expert advice and guidance in trimming the tree appropriately to promote optimal tree health and guard against future storm-​related issues. We are extremely pleased and will be making Grade A our regular, ongoing tree service provider. Thank you!

We’ve had these guys out twice for a massive tree in our front yard and some smaller ones in our backyard. They’re fast, efficient and do great work! I’m convinced that had they not done such a good job on our big tree in the front yard, this year’s snow storms would have caused some serious damage.
