Where Glass of Milk fails: cake. Where Glass of Milk Wins: frosting. The white cake is just dense and not-so-sweet. However, the wonderful, fluffy frosting tends to cover that up. It is a bit too bountiful, though, so I think most would scrape a bit off. I did especially enjoy their rendition of carrot cake(Bunny Ears). The cake in this one was pretty wonderful, and I was happy it didn’t have cream cheese frosting. In order of deliciousness: Mint Oreo cake pop — yum! pretty much prefect, not too minty Coconut Cream — wonderful frosting Bunny Ears — great carrot cake(no cream cheese) Double chocolate cake pop — very good, only complaint is that the flat side was on top(fine for eating, maybe not the best for presentation) Lemon Drop — actual lemon drop on top; don’t bite in too hard! frosting is nice Vintage Bliss — eh, white cake with choc. frosting; not worth the high price for me Shop is cute with purple accents, service was fine. Will I come here again? Perhaps, though I spent ~$ 16 on the above goodies(4 cupcakes, 2 cake pops), and I wish I could get at least one more cupcake for that price.

I sampled a few cupcakes two or three times before placing a special order for a party. I had high hopes, but the final product was a let down. The cupcakes tasted great, but they didn’t look as festive as the owners had indicated. I will give them another chance at some point just to see if they will continue to grow and improve with experience.

This place has potential. It’s not bad, but it’s not fabulous either. A very pleasant young lady greeted me upon entering the store. They had a good selection(about 15 different types of cupcakes). The cake was nothing special — just your standard chocolate or white cake, which is actually just a bit dry. None of the ones I tried had any«flavor» in the cake like I’ve had at other shops. However, the icing was wonderful! Light, fluffy, super sweet, and amazing texture, and plenty of it. The flow of the store is a little awkward, and would definitely not be good if there were a bunch of people in the store. The interior has a trendy, purple polka dot theme, and the high ceilings give it a spacious feel. The store is hidden behind the Boston Market just down Barry Road off of I-29. The cupcakes are just good, like what you would make at home only for far less than $ 3 a pop. Glass of Milk Cake Company is a good concept, and hopefully as they become established will branch out and develop something uniquely them to distinguish them from the competition.

Normally, I am terrified of cupcakes that are ½ cake and ½ frosting, I mean really, what is that? I tried two different kinds the carrot cake and the cookies and cream. Normally, I am a HUGE carrot cake fan. I found this carrot cake pretty plain but thank god it didn’t have raisins in it and its frosting had clear hard decorating balls in it? That was not my favorite but to be fair the girl at the counter did warn me about them. The cookies and cream was my favorite and like Sarah R. said the«cake» is a nice medium. But I loved the frosting, it was essentially a mashed up Oreo and cream cheese but definitely worth it. Normally, I am not a dessert fan but I am going back. It would be cool if the place lent it self to hanging out, it’s kind of long and narrow and a bit awkward when ordering right next to people scrunched along the wall. I am waiting for the cake pops for sure. The lady at the counter really pushed the website and the fact that they are available for weddings. I think Glass of Milk just needs to find their niche. And, they aren’t kidding about that milk.

I thought the cupcakes where very good. The cake was not dry, although it was not moist, a nice medium. There was the right amount of frosting to cake ratio but the size of the cupcakes did not warrant $ 3.25 per. The frosting did feel a bit on the heavy side but overall was delicious. They didn’t have much of a selection either but what we did try(chocolate peanut butter cup, coconut cream and cookies n’ cream) was delicious. I was pleased to find out they had a 10% military discount. We will definitely try them again.

I went to Glass of Milk this morning. They had everything(unlike later in the day, I’ve heard). So time of day makes the difference. I tried the Strawberry Smoothie. Definitely a much smaller cupcake than 3Girls. What I liked: the pink crème on top was delicately flavored with strawberry. What I did not like: There is no reason to color the cupcake red, and I didn’t think much of the taste of the cake and it wasn’t very moist. I hate red dye. Maybe they used strawberry juice, but it didn’t taste like it. Also they stuck a whole strawberry, leaf and all on the top. We are talking a big strawberry. I think a slice would have been better. I will stick with the Black Tie cupcake next time, as it was awesome. Just my 385 cents worth.

I must disagree with the first review from April A. Their cupcakes are good, wait — very good. The buttercream icing is very light, unlike most. Their cupcakes are loaded with icing too. They are rather expensive, but it’s okay. April mention a less then friendly employee, and I didn’t have that either. Sadly, I must give it three stars because their stock of cupcakes(which is mainly their only product right now) is very limited. They run out quickly. They offer custom cakes, but I wish they had cookie cakes Overall, I was impressed, and I would recommend it to anyone. I would return.

I had heard really great things about this place from co-workers and friends, plus being a fan of cupcakes, I was excited about trying it out. It had just opened up a week or so again and I was celebrating a personal work anniversary-so of course, felt completely deserving of a yummy treat for myself :) Unfortunately, my experience was less than exceptional. Since they had just opened, I would anticipate not everyone would go in will already know exactly what they wanted as soon as they stepped inside. The girl working(who was not the owner, btw) was less than friendly and impatient. She wasn’t very helpful with my decision making either. She didn’t promote any of the products and showed no enthusiasm in what they had to offer. Her overall attitude was lackluster. Finally, I chose some of my favorites for flavors since I wasn’t being encouraged to anything new. When I paid, I received the wrong change back and no amount of explaining helped her understand that they money was wrong. To add to the visit, the cakes were just«ok». I could have made them at home more tasty… and I have. No need to pay fancy cupcake prices when I can create the same thing in my own kitchen…
