Fantastic food. Wonderful variety. Served fresh and delicious every time! Specially like anything they make with seafood in it!!. And then there is their tres leche cake… :):):) Carmen and Maria are the absolutely most nicest bestest folks in the world! Love them both!

I hired El Tenedor to cater a party for about 25 people. Working with Maria and chef Carmen was an absolute delight and they were so great helping me create the perfect menu for my event. They were super professional, fun, easy to work with and punctual. They served our guests of their adorable air steam in our driveway and the food was absolutely delicious. Completely authentic. Chef Carmen is apparently the only Spanish chef making Spanish tapas in KC and you can taste the love and her expertise with her native cuisine in the food. The Spanish omelette was a huge hit with our guests as was the meatballs in a creamy almond sauce. Her Paella is easily best in KC. Great business!

MMMM Butifarrrrrraaaaa. It is the only thing I have tasted from this food truck and it haunts me. I must have more! The Spanish sausage was light and fork tender, the flavor is hard to describe., its not heavy but it is indeed flavorful. The medallions of sweet potato it was perched upon, divine. A sweet and savory. Together, the flavors were perfection. $ 9 well spent.

A girlfriend and I were skimming through the First Fridays events for the month of June and saw that El Tenedor was going to be at the Food Truck Fridays lot, and we were super excited. I’ve studied abroad in Spain back in college so I love Spanish food and wanted to see if this place could stack up to what I’ve been exposed to.
We shared the croquettes and the Spanish meatballs and they were delicious! I loved the creamy sauce that the Spanish meatballs were soaked in and the croquettes had a perfect creamy potato filling.
I would love to check this place out again so I can try the paella, but it appears that they mainly host private events… which is a bummer.
