Thank you Coffee Girls for teaching me a lesson. I will now wait until after I’ve been served to tip. That’s the way it’s done at sit-down restaurants and for a reason. Sorry to interrupt your day, but yes, I placed an order. That said, the item I ordered was great.

Coffee Girls is a healthy alternative to the bars and restaurants in Waldo, offering coffee, fresh juices, and breakfast all day. I certainly had a good experience here, but it wasn’t anything mind blowing. I tried a breakfast burrito which was good. tasted like something I could make at home but hit the spot. I also got the Liquid Sunshine(carrot, strawberry, orange, lemon and apple) juice which was good and well priced. The atmosphere is strikingly similar to Summit next door; open, semi-industrial but clean. I couldn’t help but get the itch to leave quickly because it gets so loud in an environment like this. Obviously nothing they can do about it since juicing machines are loud by nature but it factors into the ‘atmosphere’ part of my rating. Good lil spot that I’m not likely to be a regular at but will surely find myself back at down the road.

I came to Coffee Girls a few weekends ago after a long trip abroad and was absolutely craving something healthy to boost my energy and help me forget my jet lag. CG hit those cravings exactly. I ordered a Green Girl juice and a Big Salad. The juice is definitely a veggie drink — not a green juice that manages to taste like bananas or apples like so many of them do. To me, this was a good thing, but if you’re not looking for a salad in a glass, I suggest ordering something else. The Big Salad was super delicious and moderately sized(it’s not huge like the name might suggest). It was loaded with extras — a unique take on a chef’s salad. I particularly liked the addition of black beans that helped balance the veggies. If you’re vegetarian, it’d be easy to omit the ham and still have a meal with plenty of protein. I dropped by again more recently for a Clean Green(delicious), coffee, and a muffin from the case. The guy working the counter wrongly told me it was blueberry when it was actually a spiced cranberry(very fall tasting). The muffin was mostly moist and still hit my craving, despite being misrepresented. Overall, I’m not finding anything that«wows» me about CG, or sways me to like this more than any of the other local coffee shops around. It’s definitely good stuff. I’d say if it’s convenient for you, it’s worth a stop for a quick bite and cup of joe, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Even though I live in the neighborhood Coffee Girls is by far my favorite place in KC to get a coffee or a Smoothie. My office is north of the river and I have yet to find anything that remotely compares. The staff is super friendly, and honestly I have only had great experiences since CG has opened. I find at coffee house chains the constant would you like an extra shot? Would you like a scone today? OBNOXIOUS. If I wanted one I would ask for one thanks, but not once has anyone at Coffee Girls try to get me to purchase a bagel in addition to my coffee. Which my fav is the«Soccer Mom», super yummy! Creative names for their drinks too

Twice I have been in and twice ordered a sugar free vanilla latte in this little hipster coffee shop. Twice I’ve purposely not ordered the«Soccer Mom,» their version of the sugar free vanilla latte because I find this term derogatory toward mothers and women in general. Twice the hipster coffee boy told me, «You can’t get away from calling it, Soccer Mom.» Yes, coffee boy, I can get away from it because I’m the one ordering the sugar free vanilla latte not you.

Had an hour to kill before a meeting and decided to get some work done at a coffee shop. Not knowing what was good in the area, I’m so glad I picked Coffee Girls! It was a beautiful day out and, in addition to having a nice outdoor seating area, the café has an awesome feature to take advantage of the beautiful weather. Two of its walls act like sliding glass doors, allowing the whole space to transform into outdoor seating! I loved it! I would have given it five stars, except that my order was completely forgotten about. All I ordered was a chai latte(which was delicious!), and the café was not busy at all. However, somehow my order never made it from the register to the barista. After 20 minutes, I went up and let them know I never got my drink, and it was not on their radar at all. While they were happy to make it for me then, it made me question how organized they were.

I’m into real Italian espresso and barista Nate(here on the weekends only) just pulled me one of the best shots I’ve had in a while. If it’s the weekend and you need the thick and rich sweetness of a ristretto shot done right, this is your place!

Cute little coffee shop, cool atmosphere and cool drinks, just don’t waste money on the food. Food is pretty terrible. I’d love to see improvement since I live close.

Love this place. Best smoothies in town. Staff is nice and helpful and the outdoor tables are great on a nice day. Definitely my favorite neighborhood coffee spot.

I stumbled upon this place by accident last Thursday. My friend and I normally go to lunch at Pickleman’s and we both wanted to try something different. I always saw this place but thought it was a coffee shop, and it is so much more! I’ve been 3 times and have had two of their sandwiches and gotten chai lattes all three times. They even have the Mexican coke in the bottle with cane sugar and not corn syrup. Yuck, who needs corn syrup? The staff that work there are always nice and prepare the food very well. Always delicious, great décor, great music, great atmosphere. It is a little pricier than Pickleman’s, and I may have to cut back going three times a week(just in my first week) or I’ll break my bank account, but it is so much better than Pickleman’s(and they are far nicer.) I highly recommend this place!

Great coffee, smoothies. Cute place. Rude employees. If your rewards card says«buy 9 and get 10th on us» then don’t be rude to your customer if it was your fault that is was a typo

Love the décor of this place, the juice menu is tasty and it’s conveniently located in a quaint corner of Waldo, Missouri. The vibrant orange feel of the café is inviting and gets you in the mood to drink some good juice and coffee. It’s not clear where they source their produce from and the quality of it(in regards to being organic).

I ordered a 16 oz latte and they gave me a 12 oz. I told them I had ordered a 16oz so instead of remaking it or at least adding more milk they dumped the 12 oz into a 16 oz cup and handed it to me. The staff is unfriendly and unappreciative of your business. Never again.

My wife and I were staying in Waldo with friends, and before we flew home we hit up Coffee Girls. Super cute shop, excellent cold brew coffee, and nice baristas. The breakfast burritos were odd. The eggs seemed like powdered eggs. Kinda creepy really.

The weak link at Coffee Girls on my previous visits was the service, but this time the gentleman who helped me was outstanding! What a perfect lunch experience– amazing food(I ordered the Debi sandwich,) the best coffee not made by my husband(I ordered the Spiced Mocha,) a wonderful atmosphere, great Muzak, and now excellent, friendly customer service. Way to go, Coffee Girls!

Coffee is good, ambience is amazing, the juice drinks are solid. As some other reviewers have mentioned, a few of the staff were very clearly not wanting to be there or be around each other; they seem to have left. Having worked as a barista myself, I know what a thankless and stressful job it is. Tip your baristas, folks!

Some of my favorite coffee and juices in KC. I will go out of my way to come here. A nice Soy Honey Bear always starts my day off great and a Clean Green juice will cure the worst of hangovers. The only thing that sometimes irks me about this place is that the service can be incredibly slow. I know that coffee takes time to make correctly but the staff only seems to have one speed. So if it is not very busy you don’t have to wait long for coffee. But if there is any sort of line it is going to be a while. If it is a weekend I dont mind waiting, but during the week they don’t seem to realize that people need to get to work. Just this morning I got there right at 630(when they open) and there was a gaggle of people waiting to get in. The two people working were just dawdling around, taking chairs off tables, etc. Coffee is a bit on the expensive side but it is well worth it.

Finally a juice spot in Waldo!!! I love the juices here, that is my ultimate reason for going there. They have options to add to your juice. I wish they had a fiber supplement option like bran, but they do have spinach and whey protein so that’s just as well :) Edit: I forgot to mention: I frequently walk my dog over there so I can get a juice and they sell dog treats too! She always gets a treat when we go there :)

I thought I’d reviewed this place long ago. Oh well… I had a nice«Berry Good» smoothie and shared a sandwich… a naked turkey sandwich… I can’t recall the name. Very good bread and meat, and I opted for some dijon mustard to kick it up a little. This is a nice departure from the plethora of sandwich chains located in the surrounding area.

Looking to get a great cup of coffee in a local, feel good shop? Order your next latte or cappuccino at Coffee Girls Café. We stopped in, just for coffee, after the Corporate Challenge Race. Fresh hot coffee and a perfectly prepared latte. This cozy coffee shop also has an extensive breakfast and lunch menu including lots of fresh baked goodies. Now that I found this place, I can’t wait to go back for brunch!

A pleasant coffee watering hole in an area of town that’s more known for it’s bar scene. Found their coffee pretty good(Broadway roast) but their espresso drinks not particularly well crafted in comparison to others in the area(One More Cup) and certainly not in the league of Quay, Oddly Correct, Little Freshie, etc. However, this isn’t a compeition – they make a good cup. Give them credit for a proper temperature at least. I’ll give them this: their air conditioning sure works well. After an hour I was forced to vacate the premises and for once was happy to walk into the miserable Missouri summer heat. Temperature set to the convenience of the employees? Nothing wrong with keeping it cool and I’m a fan of blast chill but this was too much for my tastes even. Great selection of smoothies that kept catching my eye and they were slicing and dicing them fresh in front of their customers. Nice little venue, I’ll be back.
