The good about this Cavendars is the size of their selection on boots and men’s jeans and tops. The salesman there was very attentive and polite. They also have a small section dedicated to all things Texas, which is great because as a Texan, I appreciate representing our roots and our great state. The bad is probably just me being biased toward this fancy Kansas version of Cavenders. I may be a Texan but I know Kansas has plenty of farm girls in need of good clothes. I’m used to the good ‘ol Cavenders that was established in Texas to provide country folks with clothes and boots. It felt like I had walked into a Buckle store(gross!) The women’s clothes selection was awful. The tops and jeans were so fancy! It makes you wonder if this particular store is aware that most ladies who shop there are usually looking for durable clothes to work outside. We’re not all cowgirl princesses, we need a sturdy pair of Wranglers too.

Typical overpriced western store good in a pinch. The quality was either crap or $ 500 Luchesse’s.

I bought a pair of Old Gringo boots at this Cavender’s and the experience was overall good. I feel like when I walked in I didn’t get as much attention as some of the other folks that walked in, even though I came ready to spend a ridiculous amount of money on boots. Corrie, the assistant manager, was wonderful. She gave me a hand trying a pair on and then special ordered the boots I wanted, and at a very very fair price. I’m glad I dealt with her when I placed my order. This store is full of what I think of as «Power & Light Cowboy» and«Skanky Cowgirl» clothes. The men’s section has Affliction shirts, Ed Hardy crap, tons of shiny glitter stuff… I’m not a fan of that. The ladies’ section has a mix of trendy low-cut sheer things with crosses embroidered on them and purses with rhinestone crosses with angel wings around them. Again, not my thing. They do have standard country clothes which I do like — Wranglers, pearl snap-ups, non-blingety boots. Nice. I won’t drive out of my way to browse here but if I’m already at the Legends I’d swing in. Their boot selection is great(Corral, Ariat, Laredo, Old Gringo, etc) and yes, it is pricey, but good boots are expensive at most any western store.

I love this store and spend hundereds of dollars a year here. But each and every time I visit, the staff is rude to me. I dont mean«absence of kindness» rude. I mean, straight up rude. Kinda disappointing. The store has neat stuff, but id probably spend more money if they were a little more kind.

This place is at first overwhelming with the wide variety. Being from the country I have seen places with a much better variety of western wear. Most of these places also have much nicer and knowledgeable staff. They’re honestly more of a city/country store, I’ve never seen a western wear store carry Hurley and Affliction before, my friends would think I was making that up. They still get an ok rating because the store is always clean, you can find something you’ll like, and the prices are good.

I am in no way a connoisseur of western wear. But, this store is pretty cool. They have everything a cowgirl or cowboy would need I think. I really enjoyed their selection of western boots and if I had $ 200 to drop on a pair, you best believe I would. The whole reason I came here is because my mom was after some cowgirl rain boots. They have the cutest selection of rubber rain boots in the style of a cowboy boot. The sizes are limited and it looked like the racks had been thoroughly picked through. The rest of the store was huge and they have a large selection of sparkly leather belts for the ladies, but beware, $ 80 for a belt with some rhinestones is slightly ridic. Although I don’t holler like a hoss or compare with the cowboys, their clothing and apparel stores are pretty cool.
