Dirty, old and bad condition restaurant and we get sick every time we eat here!
Let alone the amazingly poor service and you get the worst chain in KCK

I am trying to eat healthier so I stopped at this location on 7÷18÷2015 around 3:30 while out shopping. Since I have never eaten at this restaurant before I asked the employee (Kathy) taking my order what she would recommend. She suggested the lemon pepper white fish and stated it was one of her favorites and so that is what I ordered. Kathy brought my food to my table and later stopped by to see if I enjoyed it. I’m sure that this doesn’t always happen when the restaurant is very busy but it was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely go back to this location. The food tasted as if I was eating at Red Lobster but at a more reasonable price.

I ate at this establishment yesterday this service is top notch a little slow but the staff is very friendly however that’s the only good thing I can say about this restaurant I ordered the 2 piece fish and fry the fish was so dry and tasteless it tasted like yesterday’s fish warmed over in the microwave I was so disappointed as this is the only fish location located in Kansas City Kansas and I love fast food fish I won’t be going back I’m on here looking for another location because again I love fish and would like to enjoy flaky moist fish so I am looking for another location to give it a try hopefully I’ll have a better outcome.

Love it, best fast food around! Service always feels a little more elevated than the typical fast food chain. It’s always pretty busy but the wait has never been too ridiculous when I’ve been around.

I stop here occasionally during Lent for a Friday evening seafood dinner. For fast food, this place isn’t bad. My only issue is the drive-​through. This place is CRAZY busy on Fridays and one time it was just too much to try to get through the line. I ended up going down to City Fish instead. But, the food is pretty good, the prices are fine and the staff has been polite and fairly efficient for dealing in the high volume.

Let me preface this 5-​star review by making it clear that 5 stars (equaling «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» in Unilocal terms) is relative to other fast-​food seafood joints, particularly other Captain D’s locations.
OK, with that out of the way, you never know what you’re going to get at Captain D’s. I mean, you know what the food will be. It’s not Zagat-​rated or anything, right? But it’s decent, fast and cheap. What you don’t know at Captain D’s is how the service will be. But I’ll tell you, at this location, the service is almost eerily good. It’s like you’ve stepped into some sort of bizarro world where the employees actually feel a sense of ownership in the place.
I was stunned, STUNNED, to have employees come by our table not once, but multiple times, to see if we needed anything. Drink refills? Napkins? Anything else? They asked about all of it. We’d never been there before, but they knew every other customer by name. Every one! It was crazy. Such a pleasure to be there that I didn’t mind that the Diet Coke was flat.
Almost every other dining establishment could learn something from the way they handle service at this Captain D’s.
