The pizza is ridiculously good. The burgers are ridiculously good. The wings are ridiculously good. Their food is ridiculously good and they deliver late. Sometimes you gotta wait a while to get your delivery, but thats to be expected from a place with sooo much demand in this town.

My husband and I are huge fans of the Caddyshack. Love the pizza, wings, mozzarella sticks, tater tots, and ravioli. Oh, and the chicken Parmesan sandwich. If you are a Power and Light kind of person, don’t bring your attitude to this bar. Check it as soon as you enter the establishment. That attitude is not acceptable! Relax, sit down, enjoy yourself and company and have a good time. The girls working behind the bar are awesome, so don’t give them a hard time. They work hard to make their customers happy. Keep up the good work Caddyshack! You are doing awesome things!

Good place for a drink but had a gun pulled on me in the parking lot as I was leaving. Wish they had security.

I hadn’t been to Caddy Shack in quite awhile, but after striking out in Northtown, it was close and convenient. I’d been a little worried that the exterior facelift meant an end to the spectacularly divey 1970s suburban basement interior. Not to worry, nothing’s changed inside, including all their Christmas decorations still up on January 8. Or the staff, welcoming as ever. I love their sweet-spicy pizza, but it was time to try their sandwiches, and they’re just as good. I got Italian steak and was delighted to find that same feisty pizza sauce on it, along with enough melty cheese to stretch out to arm’s length almost. I wasn’t sorry it spilled over onto my tater tots! I tasted my friend’s Philly steak, and it was meaty and delicious as well. We enjoyed everything, including football on about 8 big screens, so I don’t think I’ll be away so long again.

Great thin crust pizzas. Sauce is a little sweet but has great flavor. Small place with a nice outside patio. It’s off the beaten path but staff is always friendly. Ravioli appetizer was very good as well.

Went for Friday lunch; our first visit. Greeted immediately by the owner/bartender. He gave us menus and let us pick our own table. Clientele included construction workers and business people. It’s a dive bar but clean. Ordered a small pizza and a dinner salad. The salad was in a large bowl rimmed with pepperoni. It had cheese, onion, black olives, and more pepperoni. House Italian dressing was sweet. Enough for two people if you are also having pizza. The pizza was crispy with generous toppings. The sauce is sweeter than any I’ve had. I loved the pizza but if I ordered again I would ask them to go light on the sauce. The Italian sausage was probably Scimeca’s hot sausage and was very good. Our pie also had pepperoni and green olives(most pizza places only have black olives so I was glad to find them on the menu). Service was friendly. When the place got full, the server was spread a little thin but still took care of everyone. Lots of TVs, a pool table, and great food.

Caddy Shack is most certainly dive-y but the service is anything but. My sisters and I stopped by for a quick lunch earlier this week and were pleasantly surprised by the great service we received. Our waitress was efficient and non-intrusive. We started off w/the jalapeño poppers which were breaded really well and were not greasy whatsoever. We split a large meat-lovers(lol) pizza. The marinara sauce is sweet and the pie is thin. I can see some people being surprised with the sweeter sauce, but Filipino spaghetti is actually made with sugar and tomato sauce so our palettes welcomed the pizza with open arms. I can definitely see this as a perfect night-cap from a night out but as a mid-day snack, we definitely felt the food coma approaching. Loved the thin, crispy crust as well! I’m giving Caddy Shack 4 stars because I like it for what it is. I’m not one to really enjoy dive bars, BUT the food and service exceeded any and all expectations. Will I be back? Maybe. Could I see myself in a drunken stuper requesting this marvelous pizza? You be your sweet sauce I would.

If you are a River Market denizen this is your go-to place. Great food including the best pizza and tater tots anywhere. If you visit at all regularly you’ll quickly get to know Joe the owner, Kim and Sarah. They’re all great and will take care of you. Casdyshack will be right next to the north end of the street car line, so I expect that those who haven’t been there will quickly think if it as their go-to– place for great food and a quirky, local feel.

Maybe more deserving of a 2.5, but below average at any rate. Grading the pizza here. Left a lot to be desired. Sauce was much too sweet for my liking. Crust was underwhelming as well. Will look in another direction for my pizza next time I’m near the KC Convention Center.

Do not let the outside fool you. With all the construction in the area make your way through the cones to find the best pizza I have had in years!!! The sauce is phenomenal and thin crust is my personal favorite. No skimping on the topping! I will be back real soon.

4 for you, Glenn Coco! Omg, I’ve never had a pizza sauce that was so sweet and spicy and savory and sassy! It was weird but delicious in the finest form. The perfect definition for late night pizza. I got a large(14″) Meat Lovers which had pepperoni, italian sausage, beef, bacon and BAM, that special ‘family secret’ sauce. I still can’t find the perfect way to describe it. So I encourage you to go try it! I actually ordered delivery so this is strictly based off of taste and delivery. I literally had my food in 20 minutes. Nothing at all to really complain about. My only ‘thing’ is that all of their meats are finely chopped which reminds me of cheap frozen pizza(which this is most certainly NOT), but still. YAY!

This is a hometown gem hidden in a lonely street because they is all the constriction for the road going on nearby. My hubby told me about this pizza place and I’m so glad we went to try it. We ordered the specialty large meat lover pizza that they are supposedly famous for and each morsel of the pizza was gobbled up so fast between 4 of us we were fighting over who got the last slice. $ 20 For a thin crust meat lover pizza. At first glance you wonder where the meat is because you see a layer of cheese and parmesean sprinkled all over the top. The sides have the perfect crispness and you bite into the cheese top with a sweet marinara sauce underneath(somewhat upside down pizza) then there is this minor aftertaste kick to the pizza. I later realized was the sausages had a slight minor kick. So there was mildly sweet, slight minor kick(for the weak non spicy eaters like myself) and the perfect consistency or the dough and taste. Pure yum, a must try if you are ever in downtown Columbus park area.

I live really close to this bar and read all the reviews and was excited to try the pizza. I ordered to go and went to pick it up after 30 minutes. The bartender lady wasn’t very welcoming at all with no smiles. She told a waitress to give the receipt to the«Asian girl over there», which doesn’t make me irate but didn’t seem very professional. The total came to ~$ 14.50 for a small pizza. The sauce was sweeter like a BBQ sauce but I didn’t enjoy the cracker crust at all. It was an alright pizza and an $ 8 pizza at best for the size and quality.

For those who worry that this place is going to too crowded, rest easy. The apparent inconsistency of this place will serve it well from getting too popular. I can’t comment on the food, beer, and or general atmosphere as I had sat for five minutes and was not acknowledged. I walked out of the bar. You know those movies where the person is dead and they don’t know it? Yeah it felt like that. Not a «hey», «Be right with you». I guess I could have flagged someone down but if you are slow why do I need to get your attention if I am spending money?

The pizza was great, the pizza sauce tasted like it had a little Barbeque sauce in it but made it a tad bit sweet(with sweet Italian sauces being what I like) nevertheless, could’ve been a couple of dollars cheaper for the size but overall I was satisfied. I’ll go again!

My husband and I are forever on the hunt for great dive bar food, typically in the patty melt and hot ham and cheese arena BUT pizza is always nice too. We walked in to Caddyshack and were immediately escorted to a nice table by maybe the owner(?). A drink was moved off the table so that we could sit and our server(so NICE) was right there taking our order. It was really phenomenal service. The food was really good. The pizza was definitely similar to my dad’s eternal favorite Julie’s Pizza in Omaha(which my sister and I hated but he always said we would gow up to appreciate it… thanks dad!). So, we will DEFINITELY be back. Our plan was to play pool BUT it’s like in the very middle of the room and it’s the only thing going on… we didn’t really feel that confident in our pool shark capabilities so saved everyone from ‘the show’ BUT next time, look out. It’s always(most always) a good idea to broaden your horizons. This was definitely a fun Friday night

Why does this keep happening to me? Just stop I keep telling myself. Places I’ve driven by for years, now it seems I’m starting to try more of them, and I’m really glad I stopped in late evening here for the pizza and a few beers with some friends. Wow, the pizza! I’d call this St. Louis style. Crunchy crust, thick ingredients, cut in small squares, absolutely delicious. Service was definitely a step above and the lady tending our table just couldn’t have been nicer. Who’s doing better pizza than this in town? The beer is good and cold, service is quick, no muss, no fuss and definitely no pretense. This is your neighborhood manly dive bar for sure, but I see they have outdoor seating(was 10 degrees when I visited so no dice). A huge development across the street looks to gentrify the, uh, weed field a bit, but I don’t anticipate it’ll change the character of CS. If you’re looking for a beet martini or a choice of 12 rye whiskies keep on driving. If you’re looking for a proper«joint,» this is your venue. Some guys I do music gigs with have been practicing near the River Market area. After practice we go out and grab a drink somewhere. I can see Caddy Shack getting more of our business in the near future.

Saturday evening, pizza on my mind, and wanting somewhere new to try. Yeah, my favorite pizza is just down the street at River Market(Café Al Dente) but let’s give this place a shot. Dive bar? I can’t argue with you. It was a bit strange to feel both overdressed and underdressed at the same time, but it depended on what group of people you were standing/sitting near. One of my favorite things was the fact that the owner, YES, the OWNER was working his tail off, alongside the servers, to make sure people were satisfied. We were able to grab a minute of his time, and he was more than happy to talk to us. He was clearing tables, rearranging chairs… awesome stuff. Service was pretty good; although it took a bit longer to get our breadsticks(YUMMMMMMM!!!) she kept us informed of the delay and apologized for it. The pizza was pretty good. It’s not like I’m used to, but I still liked it. LOOOOVED the thin crust! LOOOOVED the sweet sauce, too(we kept what was left from our breadsticks to dip our pizza in). Looks like they have some good specials throughout the week. There is a large patio with a high privacy fence that we’d like to try. There is a pool table too for your entertainment, along with numerous TVs for your sports viewing pleasure. Great music playing(80s!!!). Joe was great to meet, the server was good, and the price was about average: $ 19 for a small pizza, a beer and a mixed drink.(Bread was comped.)
