Babies R US

Let’s be honest for a minute here… shopping for baby stuff sucks, right? That’s what I always thought until my wife and I discovered this Babies R Us location prior to the birth of our first child several months ago.
What we appreciate most about this Babies R Us store is that it’s easy to navigate, and we receive exceptional customer service every time we go. In our experiences, the employees consistently go out of their way to inform us about the products we’re looking for, and ensure that our purchases truly meet our most pressing needs (which as new parents has proven extremely valuable at times). They also do everything in their power to help us get the best deals possible. From maximizing rewards points, to informing us about special promotions, to honor competitors’ coupons, we usually leave having saved some significant money or getting something little thrown in for free because it was on a promotion that we didn’t even know about. Awesome, right!!! Let’s face it, kids are expensive, so every little bit of money saved helps! My wife also appreciates that they offer nursing mothers a space to feed their babies while shopping.

Poor customer service. Wouldn’t let me use buy buy baby coupons or bed bath and beyond coupons here today even though we have before. Changed their story several times. Will never shop here again.

I am not the biggest fan of Babys R Us just due to the fact they are on the more expensive side compared to Amazon. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly though as they just talked us through buying a new car seat. This is a Great location.

Has everything but the delivery room!

This is a great store to register and «fantasy» shop. They have coupons and sales and you can sometimes find good deals, BUT you can get most of the items for much less money at other stores or online. I will still check it out as long as I have a small child. The clock is ticking on that one, however. What I like best is the ability to touch and feel the items before I buy them. I DID procure an awesome rash guard and trunks for my toddler for next summer for super cheap. I like it. I don’t love it.

This review is for the corporation… along with the store. Just beware that if you sign up for their rewards program read the fine fine print or forget about receiving any of your rewards. I spent over $ 800 and got none of my reward coupons ($ 50 worth). The first time around, I received them via mail ($ 5 worth). For this last one… the BIG one, they said that they sent them via email and the are expired and there is nothing they can do about it… oh well sorry. Well… I can promise them that I will NEVER buy anything in that store again if that is how they treat people who have spent upwards of $ 1000 dollars.

Needless to say, if you need something related to a baby, this place has probably got it. Several types and colors of it, actually. The staff were all very helpful, and it was a clean and relatively cheery place. However, after spending 5 hours here on Saturday with my better half registering for her baby shower, I have come up with a theory…
Whoever designs these stores must also design casinos as well. The similarities are astounding! No clocks or windows, so you have no idea what time it is or how long you have been there. The exit is well camouflaged, and you must walk past many many shiny things to get there. Not a bad experience, all in all, but they need to give out comps and have a buffet!
