This was my first time eating here and the food was great! The service was outstanding! And our waitress was so sweet and always came back to check up on us. I haven’t had great food like this in a while. My stomach was full and happy.

Sooo gooood!!! I had heard this place was like Applebee’s. Results determined that was a LIE! It is so much BETTER! And better priced also. The nachos appetizer is HUGE and yummy! The Cajun Chicken Philly is DELICIOUS!!! And their Crème Brulee Cheesecake is TODIEFOR!!!

Pleasantly surprised. Seeing as how I came here on a Monday afternoon around 230, it was pretty busy and service was great! We had the super nachos combinatio. for an app and they were good. I had the Buffalo chicken salad and it was fabulous! Huge and fresh and delicious!

Tried this place out tonight for the first time. The food was decent enough, but the service was AWFUL. Drinks empty, waiting too long for everything, rude waiter. I don’t think we will be returning.

Usually places with the street name in the title is pretty good. 54th Street Grill & Bar pretty much lives to that expectation. First off, if you are visiting out of the area and staying near the airport and ready to GTFO out of Kansas, this little area will surprised you. There are a lot of cool shops and restaurants that might make your stay in Kansas a «little» better. The menu here is what you’d expect from any sports bar. They have good appetizers with chips and several dips to their main dishes of tacos, burgers and their entrees of grilled chicken and salmon. I got the salmon and overall, I really liked it! the alcohol selection here is nice and there is even a faux skinny girl margarita! Got to love the low calorie drinks.

Ever in the Mid-West, COMEHERE! Food is amazing, drinks– A-1 all day, the manager Jimmy is such a down to earth guy. He stopped by the table to make sure everything was all good, shared some personal stories of visiting Cali & was just an all around great guy. Chloe was such a great server, she was very welcoming and patient with the entire order(grannies were involved). On a side note, there was a hostess with a stank attitude who was clearly racist, as this heffa sat my family & I next to the bathrooms with a restaurant full of empty tables with enough room to assure a welcoming setting for a group of tourists. Chloe & Jimmy changed my outlook & I really appreciate them welcoming the Cali gals to the Midwest.

Not a long wait time for Saturday night only about 20 minutes. This was our first time. I had the Cajun steak and shrimp my wife had the Border attack. The steak was 4.8 stars. Shrimp was 5.0 The Mexican border attack was ‘super filling.’ (A 4.8 star steak is still really good. Steak is the menu item I will always rate the most critically.) Very reasonable prices. Matthew was a great server.

When I first moved to Kansas City, 54th Street Grill & Bar was the first place my co-workers introduced me to. I love the atmosphere… The walls are plastered with different kinds of memorabilia. I see something different each time I go, which makes it something of an adventure each time. One of the things I love about 54th Street is the wide diversity of their menu. No matter what you’re in the mood for, 54th Street probably has it somewhere on their menu. Where else will you find Mexican next to hamburgers next to soup and salad? To be honest, I am surprised they are able to sustain such a large and diverse menu. The food is always great. Not to be missed is the honey wheat bread. It is served alongside soup and salad and possibly some other dishes. I also really enjoy their summer blend salad and the baked potato soup, but so far I haven’t found anything that you would go wrong with. If you haven’t been to a 54th Street yet, you owe it to yourself to check it out… I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Found this place on Unilocal and it completely lives up to the reviews. You can check in for a table and they get your number and text you when your table is ready, so convenient. Went to the bar, Fallon helped us and she was so friendly. I got the White Sangria and I’m in love. I haven’t found one I like in Las Vegas so this was fantastic. Gringo Dip is really good with the Waffle Fries. Great find!

This was our first stop on a surprisingly awesome Kansas City experience. The food was tasty but it was the service that rocked. Taylor was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. The servers and hosts all seem to help each other out. he drinks selection was above average. And I have never seen a staff do such a thorough job at cleaning their sections and doing side-work. Cool ambiance. Thank your team for a job well done!

I stepped out of the comfort zone. I ordered the Ribeye. 14 oz with salad and loaded baked. I made it a rule years ago that restaurants the don’t specialize in steaks don’t do them well. This place is the exception. I have never had a more tender flavorful cooked perfect steak than this one. Baked potato was perfect and had the black cherry vinaigrette. I was extremely pleased. The service is top notch, they get real busy so plan accordingly Wednesday night was just right.

They’re getting 1 star because obviously 0 isn’t available. Stopped by a few times but it was always crowded and the wait times were ridiculously long. My friend mentioned she had a good experience before, so we decided to give it a try today. Being that it was a Sunday afternoon, the place wasn’t too packed. The hostess didn’t even acknowledge us when we walked it. And when we asked for a table, she definitely rolled her eyes and asked us «for how many?» with a condescending tone. On a side note, this seems to be a trend at all the restaurants near Zona Rosa. WHY are the pages to the menus stuck together? The menus have a horrible smell from the pages sticking together with water/soda/beer/other liquid source. It’s disgusting. And can the restaurants not afford to have the cloth napkins smell clean? They smell like old rags. Now back to this establishment, the server was friendly and offered recommendations on what to try for appetizers, food, and drinks. My friend ordered the Turkey Burger. I ordered the 7 oz sirloin steak, medium well. When I cut into the steak, it was bloody red and the bloody liquid got on the steamed vegetables. It took a while for the server to come by to check up on us. I explained to him that I didn’t want to steak done«well» because it usually comes out burned and dry like cardboard, and that I wanted the steak cooked thru. He took the entire plate back and came back later, and when I cut into the steak this time, again it was bloody. I moved the veggies onto the small plate and pushed the bloody plate with the bloody steak off to the side. The server offered to take it back again or to bring me the menu. At this point, I didn’t want to bother with the steak or anything else off the menu. I asked for more chips to eat with the queso dip. Do not ask for more chips. After having to ask more than a handful of times, you’ll get the chips when the queso dip is inedible because it’s stuck to the serving dish. And if you have a coupon, good luck trying to redeem it. The staff makes this an entirely difficult situation. The bathroom was a mess, as if no one had cleaned it in a while. I definitely won’t be coming back to this place.

I’ve ventured to 54th Street on numerous visits to KC and it never disappoints. The selections are many and you can’t go wrong with anything you choose here. On my last visit, I got my food to go and did not have to wait long at all despite it being packed during Saturday lunch hour. The wait staff was accommodating to all of my requests and the order came out perfectly! If I lived in KC, this would be my regular spot!

First time at this location. Picked up a gf at the airport and headed to Zona Rosa for dinner and We weren’t sure where to go, she chose 54th Street Grill. We were quoted 35 – 40 minute wait, but squeezed in 2 places at the bar. No wait! Plus, we were able to better watch the Royals game. We split spinach dip while catching up on her vacation. Some places have really great spinach dip. This reminds me of the TGIF frozen grocery store brand. It’s mediocre. Wasn’t hot. Chips tasted a little stale. She got a sandwich of some sort. She was OK with it. I ordered Chicken Madeira. The picture on the menu wasn’t really what I was presented. The chicken was«pan fried,» which came as pretty dried out. There were parts of the chicken I couldn’t cut through with a steak knife… the just kind of ripped into strips of dried out meat. I ate what parts of it weren’t too tough and the gravy helped. The asparagus were pretty flimsy little guys. $ 13.99 or so seemed a bit much for the lack of quality and what was edible. The bartenders were super nice, really attentive and kept our drinks filled. I can’t say I’d not go back, but I’ve had better experiences at a couple other locations.

Our waiter was Derrick and he was awesome! Supper attentive and brought out our food quickly so that we can make it to a wedding on time. The Gringo Dip was good, I wish it was warm though. It was served on the chill side. The wing were awesome. They were cooked well, big and the sauce had good flavor. The cheese stuffed mushrooms were huge!

I’ve never given a 1 star review, until now. I was compelled to update my previous review because of the atrocious service my group received at lunch on a Thursday. We came to 54th St Grill for a work lunch with about 6 or 8 people. We thought we were being well-prepared by writing down everyone’s order prior to arrival to make things easier for the server. Apparently the server didn’t agree. Things went downhill from there. Half of our order finally arrived after about 50 minutes waiting(we take 60 minute lunches). The kicker is we all ordered salads!!! Those who got their food quickly scarfed it down and left or simply had it boxed. The other half of the group waited an additional 15 minutes or so to get their salads. No one was happy, no one will be back!

I think the food here is pretty solid. I ate here a few times and also brought food home for lunch the next day. The chopped salad proportions are HUGE. There is no way that you are able to finish it. I liked the Maui Jim salad in particular, though I got it with steak instead of chicken which was a delicious choice. I also liked the Buffalo chicken topped salad. Having complementary bread and butter on the side is fantastic, it is really delicious. I got the gringo dip too, it is fine, pretty standard cheese sauce, which is still a favorite of mine. There are some good drink specials at happy hour; I enjoyed the white sangria, which was served in a huge mug. Overall, a solid choice for dinner that will probably leave you happy. And pro tip — fill out the online survey that is(usually) on the bottom of your receipt and get a free appetizer or dessert!

Always a fan of 54th Street. Solid food. We visited during their happy hour. We don’t drink, but there was a related special that with any drink order, including soda and tea, which is what we ordered, you could get an appetizer for 5.49. There are a few appetizers that didn’t count toward this special. Mainly the ones people typically make into meals, like the chicken wings. We ordered the Zeppelin Pretzels to start. Always yummy. I got the Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger and my wife ordered the Nachos off the appetizer menu for her meal. Since we got 2 drinks, that one was also 5.49 instead of it’s usual 8.99 price. Great deal since the plate of nachos was huge! We both left full and satisfied. The location in Zona Rosa is very nice. There is parking in the street if you can get it, but it is not very far from a parking garage as well, so it’s not a big deal if you can’t find street parking. Good place, good food. We’ll be back!

Food is good to okay. Portions are insanely large. We did find a big hair in our salad the first time we ate here. :(Manager was very professional, apologized and gave us a coupon for a free future meal. I’m not sure if we’ve ever used it. I know this a favorite local KC dining option and it’s okay in my book, just not my favorite.
