M & M Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

First off, Scott (the owner of the company, I assume), did he his best to make this a great experience: quick to return calls and quick to try and fix the problem; that’s where the positive notes end.
Called Scott to have a 3 piece cleaned, and got a quote at $ 195. I expected the high price, because upholstery cleaning is a special trade. A few back and forth exchanges over the next few days for getting new quotes on difference services (installing carpet/​cleaning carpet), and Scott was very kind to forgive me asking for so many different quotes. We finally ended up on quoting the upholstery cleaning and the carpet in the same room cleaned as well, all for $ 300 for chair and carpet cleaning, plus scotch guard on the chairs. Keep in mind that this was negotiated 2 – 3 days before the service actually took place. We then scheduled an appointment between 3:00pm — 3:30pm.
Come the day of the appointment, and we do what we can to make the cleaning go as quick as possible. I call Scott and ask if they will be cleaning the chairs or carpet first, and he says chairs. Ask what else we can do to make it go faster, and he says just try and vacuum up the chairs and carpet if it’s no problem for us, and we do. We have everything ready by 3:00pm and begin to wait… and wait… and wait. 3:30 pm hits and I give call a call, and he thought it was set up for 4:00pm — 4:30pm, which I remind him it wasn’t. He tells me his guy is enroute, and will be there by 4:15pm. I receive a call from his guy and he tells me there was a mix up, and tells me he will be there by 4:45pm. I decide to let it go, because everyone has days that get screwed up. 5:00pm comes around and still no carpet guy. I give Scott a call again, who then has his guy contact me. He tells me he is still running late and now will be there by 5:30pm. I’m pretty angry at this point, because now he will have arrived 2 hours after the scheduled appointment.
At approximately 5:30pm, the guy finally shows up; takes him about 1 ½ hrs to do everything, and tells us that it will take approximately 3 – 4 hours to dry. I check the carpet after an hour and it’s drenching wet, like someone spilled an entire kiddie pool in our living room. I give Scott a call and he explained the situation better to us, stating that because it was evening, it would take longer to dry, and recommended using fans to dry the area overnight.
The next day, the carpet and chairs are fully dry by noon and I was happy with the results: the carpet’s look had been restored, and the upholstery no longer had a strange smell or tacky feeling. My uncle comes walking by and accidentally spills some of his water on the couch, and it soaks directly into the cushion, revealing that there was no scotch guard. I give Scott a call and let him know that I think he forgot to apply the scotch guard, and he agrees to send the same guy back out to fix the problem and apply the scotch guard. He then tells me to wait a few hours before testing to make sure it had ample time to dry. The guy showed up sometime after I stepped out, and my uncle verified that he ‘did something’ to the couch, and told him to wait a few hours before testing.
I wait until the next day to test the water repelling capabilities, and nothing; seeped right into the couch yet again. By this point, I was already highly disappointed with the service, and didn’t even want to bother with having them attempt to fix yet another problem.

I understand being a little late, but 2 hours late for sub-​standard work and forgetting services I paid for is unacceptable. Also, I don’t like being overcharged $ 30 for a product that doesn’t even work.
Will definitely be doing business elsewhere in the future, and unfortunately must recommend you look elsewhere for upholstery/​carpet cleaning.

Unreal quality and customer service. To start, Scott and his team arrived for the appointment not just on time but a couple minutes early.
I had a white leather coach used in a vacation rental… I. e ‘tan’ leather coach… he got it back brand new with cleaning and conditioning. Couldn’t look better.
