Kaneohe’s Boston Pizza

Amazing! My boyfriend and I have gone there twice in the past two nights, and a few times before. This Boston’s Pizza is no ordinary Boston’s Pizza. They also serve deep dish and Italian style wood-​fired pizzas. We can’t speak for the deep dish (yet), but their regular pizzas are awesome, and last night we discovered that their pizza Napoletana is downright incredible (hence the two nights in a row). We got the Carne Napoli, and it tasted EXACTLY, I mean… EXACTLY like the best pizza I had while studying abroad in Italy. Don’t know what it is about it, but it brings back a lot of Italian memories. Maybe the bufala mozzarella? The olive oil? One of the delicious meats: soppressata, prosciutto di parma, or spicy capicola ham? San Marzano tomatoes? Whatever the case, if you’re looking for a true taste of Italy, look no further. You’ll thank me later.
On another note, their service is really good too; they’re always friendly, the atmosphere is family-​friendly (games in the corner), and they’re quick (15 min on our freshly made pizzas, and only the time it takes to heat slices up for the pre-​mades). We also love the hot cinnamon knots, which come drenched in a Cinnabon-​like icing ;).
Basically, we love Kaneohe’s Boston Pizza. Go there.

Yet another good experience. We called in our order for pick-​up and I spoke with Josh (he’s usually a baker) — reallllly awesome customer service! He really knew what he was talking about and helped me in making my pizza selection to make it most cost effective. We were able to order a custom whole pie, ½ pepperoni & pineapple, ½ Big Papi sans pordagee sausage. Everything cooked perfectly as usual, super delicious, everyone happy.
If you’re going to take-​out, remember to call in your order so you don’t have to wait! Though it’s a nice place to hang out, the parking is sparse so it’s nice just to pop in, grab your grub and hele aku.

That soprano pizza will change your life!
Now that I’ve got that out of my system, here is the story.
Crust:There’s something in the crust ingredient that’ll make you wanting more. I don’t know what it is. It’s just the perfect texture that has a slight crunch on the outside but softens as you get deeper.
Toppings: I know it’s fresh. From the veggies to the meats, you can pick them off individually and enjoy the pizza just as much.
Ambience: As you walk in and start to orient yourself to the display casings, you see the employees furiously working on the next masterpiece. They’re chopping, spreading sauce, or tossing dough. It’s just an all-​around great place for family and friends.

Awesome Pizza! Traditional pizza with a wood stove and pizza by the slice. Fast and friendly service with a family friendly environment. I will be back when I’m in town again. A+

Great food and great for kids! (They have toys and a chalk board wall with a table their height!)

Although the name and menu look similar, Kaneohe’s Boston Pizza is not the same as Boston’s North End Pizza.
Lots of decisions to be made here — pizza by the slice or whole pizza? Traditional, napoletana, or deep dish? Supremo, soprano, marinara, etc. or customize your own pizza? Dine in or take out?
Since just the two of us were going to share a pizza, we opted for the smaller napoletana (12″). We should have eaten it at the restaurant, because by the time we got home and dug in, the crust was soggy and the toppings slid off each piece that we lifted from the box. But otherwise, it was a delicious pizza and I would definitely try it again.
The garlic knots are A MUST! We made the mistake of ordering only 6. Just go for the dozen, trust me.
They have a nice stash of toys for kids tucked away in the corner, in case your little ones get antsy as you wait for your pizza.

Are you thinking Pizza while in Kane’ohe? Walk into Boston Pizza like I did :) I gave the Big Red & Spinach, garlic and mushroom pie a try. Walked out of Boston Pizza saying Yah! I’m a fan.

I’m glad I finally made it in the door to try this place! Literally. It’s a mighty hard closing door, practice good follow on the opening, your ankles will thank you. It’s a nice quirky spot with friendly folks. The pizza is delicious and very flavorful. Although my ideal Crust-​Sauce-​Cheese ratio is 2 to 0.75 to 1. This was more like 2 to 0.5 to 0.75.
I’d love to come back and try the more meatier slices, but I was hangry and couldn’t wait. Although, my day took a turn for the great when they said they put ranch on my variety. Word to the wise, getcher self the garlic-​sriracha seasoning blend and top it like a champ! See ya next time Boston.

OK I am a big pizza snob! I am from CT where I am surrounded by loads of amazing pizza. I’ve been traveling around and haven’t had a decent pizza in years. When I landed in Hawaii I tried every place I could find just hoping i’d get to something acceptable. Oahu… nothing, Big Island… nothing! So disappointed!
I took a trip to Oahu for a couple days and decided to try out Boston Pizza. Holy cow this pizza is excellent! The place itself is just OK but the pizza is excellent, best I have had in a longtime. They offer pizza by the very large slices or you can order a full pizza. It is expensive but you get what you pay for and this is worth it!
There are loads of option even traditional Chicago style. They also have wings, calzones, and garlic and cinnamon knots. The traditional style is amazing, perfect crunch to the crust, not too crisp and not too doughy. The sauce is also wonderful, not spicy and with just the right amount of tang. They make it fresh there and also shred the cheese fresh!
If you are in the area give it a try, in fact if you are on Oahu at all get there, you won’t be disappointed!

I have had several Boston’s pizzas from different locations, one in aiea and the other in Kailua. I am no pizza expert, but lately with Unilocal I find myself consuming so much of it as if I am;). I do enjoy the thin crust version from the east coast. However, if the pizza has the right ingredients, and dough texture it may be the best one yet.
The pizza shop was empty when I entered. There is outdoor seating and about 7 – 8 tables inside. One side of the room catered to keikis with a huge chalkboard, and toys to keep them occupied. I thought that was a wonderful idea. Not a lot of pizza establishments that I know of do this.
I walked up to the counter and my eyes scanned for the perfect choice. As usual, I took my time and thought of which slice I could do without. I ended up with the godfather. One of my favorite all time movie! ;) It comprised of their signature tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, salami, pepperoni, Italian sausage, black olives, and banana peppers. Talk about a mouthful right;).
I waited a few minutes for it to be heated. When it was ready, he called my name for pickup. I excitedly brought it to my table and took my first bite. Well it was not bad. I enjoyed the pepperoni, sausage and salami very much. However, the banana peppers ended up overwhelming the pizza to the point that was all I was tasting. It was tart and spicy. The cheese was a bit scarce, and their were some moments where it tasted dry.
The slices here are equivalent to two pieces. Maybe I came on an off day. I know myself and I’ll be back to try their white slices. When it comes to pizza it has unlimited strikes;)

Best pizza joint I’ve been to on island. There are a couple of other of Boston’s I’ve been to but the one I’m Kaneohe is definitely the better of the three I’ve been to. Super friendly staff, the dough is some of the best I’ve ever tasted.
Be sure to try this spot out.

We’re not in Kaneohe often and hubby found this when he was out this way for errands.
I’m always a little suspect of a pizza joint that has displays of pizza out where they reheat them up… and so this is a review of their pizza by the slice. I’m sure the pizza would be better if it was fresh and hot out of the oven.
Still, the pizza by the slice was good since there is a huge assortment. The pizzas heat up relatively well and were tasty. I would say in taste alone it was about a 3.5 here, but the cleanliness of the location, efficiency of how they took care of the customer and overall atmosphere made me bump it up. I had the Chicago classic which mimic’d the deep dish style of Chicago’s Lous or Pizzeria Uno… but it isn’t the real thing. Still I’d definitely go back if we’re in the area and try other things.
Worth a stop over for a tasty bite!

One slice is cut in half, and they are really good.
My favorite pizza is the spinach, mushroom, and garlic. They always seem to have it available… I would assume it’s one of their most popular. This is a «white» pizza — no red sauce, but you can definitely taste the olive oil. Completely covered with cheese, then followed by the toppings. Crust may look large, but most of the time I’ve had it, it is crunchy and very pleasant.
I like that they are reasonable priced, too!
Parking is limited. They are in a very small shopping center. There are other business/​restaurants (Korner Bar, Crackseed Store, Japanese restaurant) in the same complex, but I believe there are definitely less than 20 stalls available.
Nice atmosphere, there are often pizza boxes with children’s artwork on display. From what I understand, these are from field trips taken here. Really a nice touch.
Staff is friendly, never had trouble getting through their phone line during dinner time, and really a good deal.

Everything here is good, my favorite is the Wife Delight. This is definitely my favorite pizza joint on the island because of the huge portions, high quality ingredients, friendly service, and variety of pizzas. I like that they have a punch card, I’ve gotten several free pizza slices for being a loyal customer :)

Best pizza I’ve had on Hawaii. Asa was the man behind the counter. I respect when people are passionate about their craft and he most definitely was. The pizza dough and sauce are excellent.
I had the Big Papi, which had pepperoni, Italian and Portuguese sausage, ham, bacon, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. This pie was delicious. Make sure you try the siracha garlic powder. That spice mixture really adds a nice garlic spice to the pizza for the better. My fiancée ordered a gluten free pie and she thought it was delicious and cooked perfectly. The garlic knots and cinnamon knots are also both great.

What an awesome pizza place! The pizza and garlic knots are delicious! I got the margherita, fire-​stoned pizza & ate it by myself! Don’t judge me, it was that good. Pizza is ready in less than ten min. The people that work there are really nice too. The thing I liked the most about the inside is the art on the ceiling. Very unique! Go there!

These are not slices. Instead, you’re served ¼ of the whole pie, wow!
The tables are clean, there are plenty of napkins and extra seasonings for your «slices» and the service is kind enough. They’re patient while they detail the Baker’s Specials and I appreciate patience while I question toppings on special pies. The sauce is super light and not heavy on flavor which I also appreciate. I definitely enjoyed the flavors of the toppings and the wood fire, too.
I love the big tables outside for seating, not to mention they’re covered with umbrellas and I am now STUFFED. I took no pictures since I was too busy slopping up my face.

Kane’ohe Boston Pizza is where it is at! The staff is great, the food is good, and they have garlic knots and Peace Tea! Yummy!

Located behind the Korner!

My son’s school had a field trip here two weeks ago. I try to attend as a Chaperon as often as possible, but wondered what would a bunch of 4 – 5 year olds do at a pizza place. The field trip was hosted by the owners, a husband and wife. The kids had an amazing time. They got a tour of the restaurant, and they even got to make their own pizzas. They learned how to prep the dough and get it as thin as possible, and then were able to load it up with their favorite toppings. The kids had a blast. They were also given pizza boxes that they could draw on and then have placed on the ceiling. Now, everytime we go get a slice we can look at their piazza boxes on the ceiling.
The owners also served the kids cinnamon knots which is their pizza dough covered in cinnamon and frosting. My kids love these.
And, they didn’t forget about the parents. They served us some slices as well.
I asked my son’s teacher how much this cost, and she said nothing. The owners donate everything! Amazing! They are kind, generous and overall great people. This is where we will buy our slices.
