We dined at redwater on a busy Saturday night before Valentine’s Day. The server (jeff?) was great. Very professional and present. The music was a little loud, which made conversation with my date challenging. The food was great. We had the coconut tomato bisque soup, spinach salad, and ribs. We really enjoyed our evening and look forward to returning soon.

While the food is excellent the service is awful. It took over 10 mins for water, we never got checked up on, the waiter forgot part of the order, and waited maybe 20 mins for the check after finishing our food. Very sad considering I am obsessed with their Fuji rolls.

Yes, customer service is very personal. Friendly staff, who seem to know their regular customers on a first name basis.
Ambiance is a good balance of cozy yet stimulating. Warm, with a wood-​cabin feel that makes you want to look around at the design of the walls and the happy people socializing. Nice.
Food was well prepared. Quality ingredients. Draft beer was a perfect pairing with the dishes i ordered.
Some of their menu items were sold out, but I suppose thats more a reflection of them using limited fresh ingredients, and may even be a good thing. Afterall, frozen food is easy to stock. So, plus one star for being sold out of some things.

On a cold rainy night the Red Water Café provide an intimate cozy ambiance. Tonight I feasted on the warm lilikoi chicken curry minus the chicken, as I’m trying to slow down on my meat intake. It was perfect sweet and savory dish with a side of rice. A warning to the wise though, the portions are pretty big so I suggest staying away from the full order unless you’re really hungry! Would definitely return to this cute little place any day or night:).

Squeezed in lunch two days later. Ahi sashimi was fresher than possible. Service sooooo good and food wonderful.

This place was absolutely amazing.
Sat down at a table and began with happy hour… Chix Spring rolls– awesome with a beautiful clea coconut dip. Yum.
Lemongrass Caesar salad DELISH!!! Especially if you like lemongrass.
Crab roll– yum and Huge.
Portions were such a nice size
Prices great
Shrimp and basil fried rice was also super good.
Service on point.
2 scoops ice cream– coconut and vanilla also very good

Sit down restaurant serving an eclectic mix of American and sushi rolls. Location is easy to find and lots of parking. We brought our own wine and was charged a $ 10 corkage fee. I had the local beet salad, Chef’s Seafood Creation which was uku (gray snapper) and the Rib Eye steak. All three items were delicious. The two entrees were accompanied with a starch and the meals were very filling. You definitely feel like you get your money’s worth at this restaurant. Our waiter Jeffrey was pleasant and not pushy. Service was excellent. They had jazz musicians playing dinner music which added to the ambience of the restaurant.

Service is EXCELLENT!
Old school service. Personal, friendly and genuine. We felt so good eating here.
My kids had a blast drawing on the paper covered table… it made it much easier to enjoy the evening.
My steak wasn’t the best… but was good. The ahi tataki salad was good.
My wife ordered sushi, which was good was well.
We’d love to come back and try more food.
On a side note, there was a performer and unlike many establishments, he was pleasantly adding to the ambiance… wasn’t too loud and overbearing.

Loved this place. Really is as good as it gets! We had gone across the street and felt as if we were being turned away (that restaurant closes between lunch and dinner) and as it turned out we came out ahead!
Our food was great, our waitress was great, the décor and ambience were great and we all enjoyed our meal. Even the patrons at the next table, who run a shop across the street were super friendly and nice. We had the big sushi platter (Fuji roll) and split a hamburger and both were fantastic.
Highly recommend! The good reviews are definitely warranted.

Came here with my boyfriend after hearing great reviews from family in Honokaa.
We got there during their happy hour and ordered the curry chicken spring rolls, fuji roll, and California roll. Between the two of us we were full by the end of the meal. The fuji roll is massive!
Everything was really good and I would recommend this place for couples looking for a nice place to kick back and enjoy great food. Only con is I wish they put a tab bit less rice into the sushis… slightly outweighed the other ingredients.

After several recommendations from our local friends and our California friends, we made the short drive up to Waimea to try the Red Water Café. My wife and I absolutely loved everything about it. Red Water has a real local vibe and everyone there was friendly. The atmosphere is very unique… Sort of a local Hawaii’n restaurant fused with a country tavern. The food was outstanding. My wife and I shared the organic salad, the shrimp fried rice and I ordered the rib eye steak. You can definitely taste the difference with locally grown vegetables and the steak was perfectly cooked. We were fortunate to have a front row seat to listen to some live music during dinner. We made a reservation, but arrived early… The restaurant was getting full as we were leaving (always a good sign) so make a reservation.
We will DEFINITELY be coming back to Red Water in the future.
