Food wasn’t terrible. Just wasn’t good. I had Mexican Tacos(steak) and a chicken tamale. Both items were too dry. My friend had cheese enchiladas which were cold. They had to reheat them. With other choices so close, I probably won’t come here again.

Fantastic Mexican tacos and gorditas. Takeout or sit in they are always spot on. Plus the green salsa is excellent!

YAY! Delicious! They just got a credit card machine, which means I can bring non-cash carrying people now. The place is clean and bright and the dining area is brightly colored and a bit festive. They have a private, although dirt, parking lot which is convinient. There are about 4 menus up around the front that makes it a bit confusing. The lady at the front was perfectly nice and helped me place my first order, given the confusion of the menus. I tried elote for the first time and was given some Tajin to sprinkle over it. It was good, though I don’t have much to compare it to. I’m not sure the corn was actually grilled, maybe microwaved or boiled. It was warm and flavorful. I’m not sure what all was on it but some degree of cojita/mayo/sour cream type combination. No guacamole available though their avocado sauce was recommended, which I tried. At first taste it was liquidy and creamy and tasteless like avocados. Then some oniony spice flavor hit. Then the heat hit. I like it spicy but this was too hot for me! I offered it up to friends and they loved it! I got salsa too, which came with the«chips and sauce» but also the tacos. It was nice, just enough heat. The chips were warm, oily, and delicious! Others agreed that the chips were awesome as was the salsa. I also got tacos al pastor and chicken. The chicken was a touch dry like another reviewer mentioned, but had nice flavor. The al pastor was moist and tender. Mmmm. Both had warm, soft, oily corn tortillas and plenty of cilantro and onions. Neither were too covered in sauce to cause a drippy mess. They came with a lime wedge which adds oh-so-much freshness. Somehow I missed the tamales between the different menus so I will have to go back and try those. I hope they get guacamole on the menu too! There isn’t a good place to get guacamole in Kzoo. Prices were fair and typical for this style of restaurant around Michigan. I hate when I can’t find a menu online so I uploaded a couple pics! Overall, quick, convinient, well-priced, clean, friendly, authentic, and DELICIOUS!!! A WINNER!

authentic Mexican-style tacos. reminds me of a trip to Mexico City where taco stands were on every single street corner. these aren’t as cheap as Mexican street tacos, but decently priced and taste exactly the same. careful with the red sauce, it packs a ton of heat! chicken enchiladas with green sauce were delicious too.

3.22.16 This was my second visit to Los Brothers. And, I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes with Chicken. They were EXCELLENT. The chicken/sauce/tortillas were exactly the way enchiladas are supposed to be – great flavor, perfect consistency, with the perfect amount of everything. I have upgraded my review based on this second visit. Please note that I went in very early for lunch(11:15) and by the time I was finished with my lunch, there was a line to order and pay at the counter. So, plan accordingly if you are going for lunch 2.23.16 My first experience at Los Brothers. Ordered four tacos: two Al Pastor and two chicken. Overall, the tacos were very good. Although the chicken was a bit dry, it was very well seasoned. The Al Pastor was excellent. The tortillas were fresh and very well prepared. Overall this was a good experience. Two things to note: this is an extremely casual Mexican eatery– the type of place where you order at the counter, and they bring your food to your table, and this is a cash only establishment. I will be going back and trying other items in addition to the tacos — the gorditas and the enchiladas looked excellent.

I’m so happy to have authentic Mexican so close to downtown, available all the time – not just when the truck is out. Don’t come here looking for ground hamburger in a fried corn shell with lettuce and tomato. It’s not that kind of place. Bring cash. Try the elotes – sweet corn in a cup with lime, mayo, and hard Mexican cheese with a little chile powder. Pastor, carne, pollo all solidly cooked and served in a variety of forms, but try the tacos Mexicanos and sopes to start. JUST. SO. HAPPY.

Very good and authentic mexican food. The place itself is not much to look at. I think I would have liked it better if the prices would have been closer to the prices in mexican street cart prices.

The meat is always full of fat chunks and super greasy. And they use processed cheese sauce on the nachos. Not very authentic.

Great food and extremely fair pricing. It’s only on a cash basis, so just make sure you have cash on hand because they don’t do cards or checks. Other than that, it might just be the most authentic Mexican food in Kalamazoo.

Holy crap the food is good! Best tacos ever! The ambience is that of an old shoe box. However it is functional and the service is great. Appears to be entirely family run. If I could give it six for the food I would. The Red and green sauces are amazing. Come before close to get the tamales. They were out when we tried to get them. It’s a long drive from Milwaukee however we will be back.

Definitivamente los mejores tacos mexicanos de Kalamazoo. Completamente originales, la tortilla suave y con sabor a Mexico, y con salsa rica y picosa. Normalmente yo compro mis tacos de pastor y bistec. Recomendables!
