Stopped by this place on my way back to Seattle recently. I had a burger the night before and wanted something a little different. I decided to try the halibut burger on a recommendation from the cook. I was not sorry! Thick halibut patty deep fried to crispy perfection. I was humming with every bite. Great addition to the menu!

The bald guy with a beard and glasses who works at the counter is miserable turd. He obviously hates his job and treats his customers with no respect. He is most likely taking out his frustrations by spitting in your burgers in the back. Don’t waste your time with this place– you can find shitty burgers anywhere.

I’ve been driving by this place for the better part of 15 years, wondering if it was worth stopping in for a burger. No, no it’s not. The food wasn’t bad — it was all just underwhelming. My wife had the chicken burger, which she described as being low-quality chicken — bland and tough. The burger patties on the double bacon cheeseburger seemed like cheap, previously frozen, completely unseasoned beef. The chili was thick, bland, and needed salt, and the onion rings were burnt. Add to this the fact that it seemed like they had 7 or 8 people working at the time, and I’m not sure how this place is even solvent.

I have stopped here every time I drive north. I loved it until tonight. My son and I drove up and placed our order. He told them twice NOTOMATO she is deathly allergic to tomato. They asked about cheese and onion and again he said just no tomato she is deathly allergic. We got our food and I’m thinking they must have some new sauce this Hambergers is delicious little did I realize after almost half of the burger it had a very large slice of tomato on it. My son told them«this is not the least bit funny this Hambergers has tomato on it. The person said do you want me to make another? My son told her know I’ve gotta get out of here and get my mom to a hospital now. They then gave him $ 4 of the $ 20 I spent on our meal and said we have a new cook. He said you’d better pay better attention and left. Obviously they were not in the least concerned that I could have been killed by there new cooks mistake!!!

Walked in. Met with blank stare after saying good afternoon to guy at register. People walking through with an attitude straight going into the prep area. Place feels like its run by emo teenagers. Food is sub par. You can get the same at Jack in the Box. Very not impressed. Went down the street to the Antique Deli instead where the owner was very pleasant, food was homemade and tasty.

Good pit stop cheap burger spot in the middle of nowhere. I’d drop by again on my next road trip from Seattle to Portland. Burgers are greasy and cheesy, just how I like it! Fries are hot hot hot so eat immediately for optimal enjoyment.

The food is OK, but the service is painfully slow. My last stop took 15+ minutes in the drive thru after I ordered. They handed me the food, I said«thank you» and they responded with«here you go». A «you’re welcome» would have been a good start. Maybe a «sorry for the wait». Or maybe my expectations are too high.

Not bad, but not worth the money. Drive another 10 minutes into Longview and head to Nipps.

Had high hopes for a place called«Burger Bar» but… We saw a sign for burgers after Mount St Helens. Exited for Kalama. Pulled up to the drive through. Had to push a gross button. Bitchy girl took our orders and then told us to **park our car to the side, someone will bring our food to us** I watch as a kid comes through the door with a vat of grease which he poured into the dumpster RIGHTBYTHEDRIVETHROUGH. We wait for like 15 minutes. SAMEKIDBRINGSUSOURFOOD. No apron, no gloves. Just puberty & grease. The burgers tasted cheaper than Burger King’s 99¢ burgers(God help me for knowing that) and the fries were LIQUIDYANDNOTCOOKED. Skip Kalama & their shithole«burger bar»

Was surprised to see the average rating so low. The $ 4 deluxe burger is made from ½ beef patty. The small burgers are only $ 2. Shakes were very thick and good. Very good stop heading to Portland

Don’t even think about it. A processed bacon circle on my burger? The thickness of a paper towel… I live locally and tried this place 3 times hoping the last time was a fluke. No. It’s just gross. I keep hoping for an old fashion burger and fries. It’s just not that. I do appreciate the politeness of the kids that work there.

Please stop serving those awful excuses for burgers & just change your name to Fish Bar. Your Fish & chips & onion rings were actually pretty good so when my husband took a bite of the burger & said it tasted foul I had to take a bite. Worst burger I’ve ever tasted. Not sure if the meat was rotten or if you just choose to serve less than school cafeteria quality burgers but it was SOBAD! You were nice enough to take the burger back & make him a fish sandwich instead. You really should consider changing your focus to fish if you can’t manage to make a half way decent hamburger.

Drive right by this joint. Truly awful. Burger so thin you could almost see through it and for only $ 5. If it hadn’t been for my kids being so hungry I’d of returned everything and asked for my money back. What a dump and the food was simply terrible. All of it. Even the shakes, cheap ice cream with artificial flavorings.

Best Burger in WA! I mean if you order something as simple as a cheeseburger and to be that good. You are definitely something very good. Story is. we pass by here so many times going to Portland and I always wanted to try it and we finally did! It is in a small town near an antique mall and Chinese restaurant. A classic feel. They posted they have pumpkin milkshake and that was what I wanted to hear as I only wanted a milkshake since I had quite a bit prior to stopping here. But why not, since we’re here, let’s try a small cheeseburger and fries. Everything was good! The burger was tender and moist, perfectly cooked, not dry and with tasty burger sauce. The fries were crinkle cut and very good. The pumpkin milkshake, oh man, was the best! Got to come back! Too bad it is so far away.

Oh no! I thought I was in store for something great when I ordered a $ 9.50 deluxe cheese with onion burger(I was on a road trip and hungry!!!) and french fries. Visions of a hand-formed quarter pounder with sweet walla walla onions and toasty french fries filled my head as I anxiously waited. Parked in the drive-though, I thought it was a little strange that they told me to back up and wait in the parking lot but whatever. What arrived was a ridiculous excuse of a deluxe burger! A flimsy Sysco-fabricated flash frozen meat wafer with shriveled shredded lettuce, cold salty crinkle-cut fries and no napkins. Snap! I would give it 1.5 because I wasn’t totally repulsed(I said I was hungry!), just disappointed with the burger to price ratio from a place who has«Burger» in their company name! Get it together BB!

We have been to this place twice in two months. The first experience was less than satisfactory. The burger had an «off» taste and the bun was not fresh. The crinkle fries were tasty though. We thought we would give them another try. What a difference! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. Service was friendly and prompt. I guess it depends on the timing of your visit. It does beat McDonalds, hands down.

If you are looking for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend this place. We were looking for a place to eat and we thought«they named it Burger Bar…, MUST be a decent burger!» Right? Wrong! At first glance the burger seemed fine… But the smell was definitely«off» we debated the source … I still say the buns were moldy, though the did not appear to be. It was a mold + chemical smell… I opted NOT to eat the burger, and it was a wise decision. Everyone else paid the price.

Decent grease spoon — you get what you are expecting. Now and then, this is the kind of food you are wanting… but not every day. They do a lot with what they have to work with — frozen patties and deep fryers. Fun atmosphere(old pictures and dated posters), friendly service, good local spot or when you are driving through.

$ 4 for a terrible, greasy, deep fried, low quality piece of chicken for a chicken burger. Fries were also greasy. Will not eat again here when passing thru or recommend to anyone, you would be better off going to McD’s or somewhere else!
