The Maids

While the parts they did clean, looked clean, except for some oversights here and there, the other issues tend to negate their positive cleaning.
1. I was scheduled for a 2 – 2:30 cleaning. Amanda called to say they would be running late and would be there closer to 3:30. They finally showed up at 4:45. For a 1.5hr/2hr cleaning to start at almost 5 o’clock, that is just too late. My house is great during the day with the sunshine, but to try to clean at night… it’s impossible to do a thorough job.
2. Because the quoted rate was not given after an actual walk through of the house, the estimated cleaning time was off. So due to their delayed arrival, they were not able to clean all that should have been cleaned as agreed upon previously. Such as the windows, screens, ledges and activities room.
3. The louvered windows are specifically why I called a cleaning company. It’s too much for an individual. The windows were all listed in with my quoted time estimate. But not even the picture windows got washed. The kitchen ones were done, and they look nice though, I will say that. Not thorough as it conceivably was in my head, but what ever really is right?
If their prices weren’t so high, I might give them another chance, but $ 195/​hr is just too much for the job that was accomplished. There are obvious oversights in their cleaning, and they didn’t always put back items as they moved them around, which I am *admittedly* a little OCD about.

My first Unilocal review! So, the Maids came to clean our house, like a full top to bottom, even the window screens and blinds, EVERYTHING, clean out. My husband and I are very clean and tidy people. We have absolutely no clutter. We were pleased with the initial clean out. It definitely wasn’t amazing, but they did a decent job. It wasn’t cheap, almost 500 for 1800 square feet but it was worth it for us due to our schedules. Basically we just had a lot of dust in the blinds and windows that neither of us wanted to deal with… So for that initial cleaning, they maybe deserved 2 or 3 stars.
So we decided to schedule an every other week cleaning. The first cleaning, our house was basically still spotless. However, it was OBVIOUS they didn’t even clean or touch our tile shower, or move any of our decorations or frames to dust around them. I have no idea what they did except for vacuum the floor, and even that wasn’t done thoroughly. But, since we didn’t want to hassle with finding another cleaning company, we thought we would give them another chance… This third cleaning was the worst yet. I have no idea what they came over and did, but we decided it wasn’t worth 150 a week for our spacious one bedroom house.
The main reason I give The Maids one star, and the honor of my first Unilocal review, was for their absolutely horrible customer service. My husband called to speak to someone about our concerns and about canceling the service, and without ANY hesitation or questions they said «Oh ok» and hung up the phone. No questions why we weren’t happy or why we were canceling. Customer service, as well as customer retention, is clearly not part of their business model.

Only one star, because I cannot assign zero. They do not service MCBH. The Pass House «Takes too long».
