All I can say is, I’m from Kailua and I’ve tried every single place there is. The food is great, the service is friendly, and it has a feel of old Kailua. Try it!

My boyfriend and I picked this place last weekend for a relaxing Saturday breakfast on our way to Lani Kai. We had dined here almost exactly year ago and truly enjoyed it! Unfortunately, this visit was not as grand as our last. We both shared the lilikoi pancakes and the eggs benedict(which was on special). Our server was extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. Throughout our entire breakfast he knew exactly what we needed and what we were thinking before we even had to ask. He is the sole reason for the 3 stars! I wish the food had lived up to our previous visit. The pancakes, even though generously covered in lilikoi sauce/syrup were nothing special and the eggs benedict was lack luster. The hollandaise sauce barely had any flavor and the eggs were over-poached. We both walked out feeling a little shorted for a $ 30 breakfast.

Great people, awesome lilikoi pancakes. The coffee was pretty good. The vibe is really casual and simple but awesome. Food came at a decent time. Every worker has a smile on their face. Awesome place. Parking makes it harder so look for street parking and it is limited.

The LILIKOIPANCAKES are the most delicious pancakes I’ve had at any brunch/breakfast place on Oahu!(A very close second would be the ube pancakes from Yogurstory though). They are so light and fluffy and the lilikoi sauce is perfect, not sickly sweet like a lot of lilikoi desserts that I have tried. If you are coming here you have to get these pancakes. The rest of the menu is great too… I tried the ahi tuna melt sandwich and it was pretty delicious. my husband had the«loco moke» and really enjoyed it. The servers were fast and responsive. The prices are reasonable. The only downside is limited street meter parking and a parking lot across the street that you have to pay at too. But I will definitely visit again when I am in Kailua especially ‘cos I love pancakes!!!

Great food and awesome service. This place started as a bake shop and is known for their breads. This is my first time eating here and it was terrific. Nice, spacious seating and friendly wait staff. Food was served quickly and it was great. My gf and I both ordered omelets and I also wanted to try the Lilikoi pancakes. Our server Scott suggested that we can get just a single pancake(off menu) since we had ordered 2 entrees, so it wouldn’t be too much food(good thing). It was perfect. Omelets were fluffy and tasty, hash browns were crispy on the outside(could’ve used a bit more salt) and the pancake was great with the Lilikoi sauce — not too sweet with some whipped cream on it too. Definitely worth the price and will be back very soon.

Love their food, but as for their service… not so much =( Went early Saturday morning & was seated in about 5 mins, they were their usual. steady/busy. We ordered, and waited.&waited.&waited. Give or take 20mins, that’s not a problem. 25 mins, mehh. 30mins, my stomach is growling & yikes I’ve got to go to work but thinking i could probably inhale this food cause I’m hungry. (Waitress walked by several times not saying anything. no update on food should be coming out soon, no apology for taking soo long, didn’t check on us one bit) 45mins later, I leave money for my iced coffee and leave:(without being served, without anyone noticing.

Two words: Lilikoi Pancakes. The people of Oahu love their pancakes but the lilikoi pancakes at Moke’s Bread & Breakfast are a standout. From drinks to desserts to pastries, you’ll be able to find lilikoi, which is also known as yellow passionfruit, everywhere on the island. But here is where you can find it in your breakfast. We ordered a short stack lilikoi pancakes and a Mokapu omelette. The pancakes come ladled generously with their delicious lilikoi sauce and topped with whipped cream and orange zest. You don’t need any syrup or butter to enjoy these pancakes; the sweet, tangy and creamy sauce is seriously on point. One order of short stacks comes with two pancakes and is pretty large in size, which makes it perfect for sharing with two to three other people. Besides lilikoi, Portuguese sausage is also a popular staple that you’ll see at many Hawaiian breakfast and brunch eateries. It’s not only savory but also slightly sweet and smokey and is considered comfort food on the islands. Our Mokapu omelette was stuffed with plenty of sausage, mushrooms, green onions and cheddar cheese and was the perfect savory counterpart to our sweet pancakes.
