Kailua Police Station

My mom was involved in an accident today and the HPD officers who responded & the fire department were polite and very helpful. I want to give an extra thank you to HPD officer J. Nahale. English is not my mom’s first language and she was very shaken up but he was extremely helpful. I know people grumble about police officers very often, but we have to remember that they are the ones we call when we need help.

Serve and protect ???
I don’t feel safer.
I have close friends that are both police and military and I’m just a surfer.
The Kailua police have gone too far !
They are becoming nothing more than a parking enforcers with guns.
If you park in the Kailua beach park and you front bumper is not over the yellow bar you will get a ticket for not being in a parking spot.
Even if you are perfectly spaced between the lines.
I watched as 4 – 5 cops wrote almost everybody in the lot a ticket the other day. After the cop explained what was going on the only thing I cold think was.
«Wow I feel safer now»…
There are meth heads and smash and grabs all over the beach park and the island. I’d like to see a larger focus going towards that and not petty parking tickets.

I have strange luck with stray dogs, they gravitate towards me. I usually end up taking them here to scan them for chips, they are always very nice to me. They also issue J-​walking tickets though, and I love J-​walking, so that is a rough combo.
