A great way to spend a beautiful Hawaiian Islands day, strolling though the artists’ displays, vendor crafts(made locally, the real deal), and having a chance to sample local restaurant dishes. You have to buy a button to enter and food/drinks are purchased with«scrip» for safety. Proceeds benefit the LaniKailua Outdoor Circle which maintains, advocates, and protects outdoor spaces. A great cause, a great family time, and a worthwhile experience!

Perfect for this overcast day. I love all the arts and crafts display. I might just buy a piece or two. This is the first time I’ve been to this festival, what a treat! I’m loving the music, hula dancers and all the food stalls here, looks scrumptious.

This was so much fun. Just walking the streets, looking through tents with vendors selling food, items such as jewelry, purses, clothing, etc. As simple as it sounds, I loved the Portuguese sausage hot dog and passion fruit iced tea! Whole foods had happy hour all day($ 5 for pizza+beer). There was live entertainment, hula dancing, bands throughout the day. Best part of it all– PETFRIENDLY! There was even a water station for the pets! Advice: *Don’t purchase too many tickets, because they are only used for food. Purchasing any other items is money only. *If you are close, and have a bike, ride it down to the block party. Parking can be a bit crazy. *Bring your pet pooch for a stroll and fun time! Very pet friendly block party.

Parking: lack of it. There weren’t that many places to park and the parking that was allotted for this event wasn’t marked clearly enough. Food: They had quite a lot of vendors but the prices seemed a little ridiculous. I was able to try a butter and sugar crêpe from Creps No Ka ‘Oi which was really good but they put it on a plate. I don’t understand why they don’t wrap it up so it’s a little more convenient for people to walk around with. It is a fair and there weren’t even than many places to sit and eat. I also grabbed a teri burger(tasted like May’s, actually I think it was May’s) and that was probably my favorite. I think the best value was the mini donuts, I believe it was $ 4 for 12 and it was freshly made. The gf really wanted an ice cream cone but the lines were ridiculous. Over all, nice event but I probably won’t return. Unless, they get some shaded seating.
