Fantastic burger joint in a strip mall. I love eating here and can’t say enough good things about their burgers and fries.
Life is good when you can have a Long Board beer and a delicious burger and fries in Hawaii for a good price.

It’s nice they use «Big Island Beef» but unfortunately it’s overpriced for what you get and the burger is just OK, not great. Go to Annie’s in Kainaliu for a really great burger.

When I was in Kona for work this week I wanted to try this place because the reviews were positive, I had the ultimate cheeseburger combo, which came with lettuce, tomato’s, onions, and It was medium rare, just the way I like it. I chose Swiss cheese, and added mushrooms, also the meal came with fries with choice of dressing. I thought the burger tasted pretty good, I personally cannot tell the difference between grass fed and processed, but I did enjoy it, it was the perfect size for a quick lunch and you get a bottomless drink, refills free, yeah! I went right before lunch rush so I received my food pretty quickly, and the staff was really friendly.

Not happy at all. I wanted a burger that was WELL DONE and what I got was a burger that had more color than the tomatoes.
Why even bother asking how someone wants their burger cooked if you can’t even cook it?
Not to mention, and I don’t know how they managed this, but it tasted burnt. I don’t know if it was the bun they burnt or what, but an undercooked, burnt-tasting burger swimming in grease is not my idea of an ultimate burger.
To the owner– find someone who can actually cook.

I’m truly surprised that this place has 4 stars overall… It’s really disappointing on the whole.
My husband and I both went nearly all-out on toppings and still found the burgers really flavourless. The meat was dry (albeit pink) with an overpowering charred flavour.
The fries were good, but soft/undercooked and the aioli dipping sauce was awesome!
The two stars are for the dipping sauce, no stars for the burgers.
Cost over $ 30 for 2 burgers, 1 fry and 1 drink. And we left hungry and really disappointed with our meals.

We come from the land of in n out and five guys. Along with eureka burger and other independent burger places… This place had one of the best burgers I’ve tasted. Love that the quality of meat is high and the ingredients are also quality. We try to stay away from crap and this place was far from crappy! The fries were good too! A tad salty but still quite good. Service was good and burgers came out in a good time. I’m always a little Leary when food comes out too fast. Because that means the product is cheap or not fresh:) cheers!

What a nice surprise. Went here right after we landed in Kona. The burgers were so from grass fed beef and the fish sandwich special was the best we had the entire week on the island… light, tasty and very fresh. Definitely worth seeking out as a meal while on the island.

This was quite the find… on a strip mall! Burger really lives up to its name. Fries were exceptionally crisp and served with a delicious dip. We love the idea of having a daily seasonal burger. Only think I can think it would be to add a small milkshake menu. That aside, this place is great! Not pretentious (unlike 8 oz Burger in Seattle, and definitely not as over-priced), just a good grass-fed beef burger. Will definitely recommend and come back!

This is the highlight of my son’s trip to Hawaii. If he could eat here for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday, he would.
I got the beet burger and the beet sauerkraut mixed with the aioli sauce was fantastic. The big daddy fries are okay but when dipped into the dipping sauce they become sublime. The lemonade is homemade and not too sweet. All in all a delicious meal.

It is in a shopping plaza which made us wonder if we were at the right place, but their grass fed burgers were really good! I loved the fries and my burger. It was while back so I can’t remember what I got. I’m sure it included avocado. I really like the local product emphasis and ofcourse you can get a kona beer here.

It was a solid burger, but not ultimate. I ordered it medium rare and it was well done with no pink. It is the first burger I have had with blue cheese where the cheese didn’t overwhelm the burger. Unfortunately the taste was a bit bland. It could likely use some salt to give it flavor.
The service was nice. The menu was hard to read.

Ultimate burger is a great place for a good, solid, burger that you can build yourself with a variety of fresh ingredients. They use grass fed beef from a local farm and they get the temperature of the meat right every time. The fries are shoestring style, and are very tasty. Nothing fancy in this restaurant just a good burger, good music, and while we were there some video of surf competitions. They have a local beer on tap that I believe changes every so often but also they serve soft drinks soda etc. On the way out of the restaurant be sure to stop and look up above the door and read the quote.

All organic and using only local food sources, this place is different form the start.
Whats the best is the HUGE Ultimate burgers of varying styles and toppings. Fries outstanding and only 13.50 for the meal
Service good, menu simple and right off the hwy, Recommend Joe’s Coffee Farm right up the road, cool place and neat to see coffee growing on the trees.

Best burger I’ve ever had. From the way it looks with everyone stuffing their faces, I think we have shared consensus.
My burger was cooked medium to perfection. Naked burger with cheese. The potato strings were greasy and amazing to dip in their special sauce.
McDonalds is right across the street. If you want a cheap crappy burger, go there. If you don’t mind paying a little extra and getting perfection, go to Ultimate Burger.
Perfect high caloric junk food for after diving.

Incredible burgers and fries. The burgers are all fresh made and perfectly cooked. The smoky grill flavor is fantastic. And the toppings are all incredible as well.
Don’t listen to people like Tim W. He doesn’t know what good food tastes like. He complains about the smoke flavor but that is the thing that makes these burgers better than any other. He needs to keep eating at McDonald’s where they microwave a frozen patty.

Stopped in here last night after a full day at the beach! We were starving!
Unfortunately, the Burgers were horrible! Way over charred and tasted like burnt grill! Gross!
We threw them both away after 2 bites and went next door to Panda Express!
What a waste of $ 18!
Not a good burger!!!
