Look. It’s the Four Seasons, expect to part ways with some hard earned dough. It’s more than just a massage, or just a treatment, but a complete experience from the moment you check in, to the locker rooms, to the treatment and to the wind down afterwards. If it’s just a massage you want, and don’t want to spend more than say $ 100 inclusive of gratuity, drive into town and there are many places that will fit your needs. Expect to pay nearly 3x for that same service here — but you don’t need to leave the resort, and the bungalows that they perform massages in are quite nice than the dark, dodgy room you’ll most likely end up in outside of the resort. The garden is also nice to relax in afterwards and although the entire resort is relaxing, there’s a soothing, zen like, quality about it(as long as you don’t mind the geckos or anoles)

I was really excited to visit the Spa at Hualalai. I checked in ahead of my appointment time like they suggested and checked out the facilities. In the locker room you have access to showers and if you walk outside there is an outdoor sitting area with a jacuzzi, cold plunge pool, sauna and steam room. There are also outdoor showers, but they were all in a row and not very private. The locker room area seemed rather small compared to the amazing grounds of Hualalai. For my massage, I was so excited to be led to an outdoor hut. An outdoor massage was a first for me and I loved being outside! My massage itself was not as great. My therapist was very nice, but I thought the massage itself was just okay. At $ 180 for a 50 minute massage at a high end resort, I had expected to be amazed. After your treatment, you can relax in their beautiful lush garden area where there will serve you refreshments while you relax. This could be an awesome spa experience if you can ensure you have a stellar treatment. I’d recommend asking the receptionist for recommendations to ensure a great experience.

I would recommend going to another Spa, they do not treat their employees good at Hualalai.

HORRIBLE! I felt so uncomfortable while my masseuse was giving me a «deep tissue» massage… whats so deep when she’s barely poking you? She had no direction of what she was doing. I had to keep guiding her, telling her– after a while I just gave up. $ 275 for a massage this bad? No thanks, I’ll pass. I thought it wasn’t even worth $ 50! I’ll be back at Four Seasons Resort, not the spa.

The ladies here did a great job for my hair and makeup for my wedding day! They also did the flower girl’s hair which they completed even though she was five and fell asleep in the chair. My nephew(6) enjoyed getting a manicure and pedicure done. I have to say the woman who did my hair for my wedding was amazing. I think that she was the best hair dresser that I have seen in my life. My hair is very thin and it stayed up. I had no idea how I wanted my hair done and she took charge and made it look amazing. The woman who did my makeup made it very natural which was what I wanted. I was worried about what I was going to look like but these ladies took care of me. Five stars all of the way!
