I’ve eaten here once a week since they’ve opened and everything I’ve had has always been good.

Where’s the Spam? Gasing up on the way to airport and wanted to have a Spam musubi for the ride. The place is certainly busy enough and clean. Not very friendly staff. Take you order head down and that’s it. So much rice with a sliver of spam. It is hot.

Wish they would offer noodles instead of potato mac salad with the new Chinese food. They should really do combo plates(1 choice, 2 choice) too. Food is good. This is the L & L’s with the best service and quality food usually, but that guy who made a difference was working at Waimea L & L’s last time I went. Who knows what will happen here now. I got Mongolian Beef which could use more chilies.

Stopped to grab dinner after being at the harbor nearby. We got the Hawaiian BBQ mix, which tasted alright, and the spam saimin. The portion of spam was so pathetic(4 very small and thin strips of spam), they should just call it plain noodles. Very disappointing. I do not know if the other dishes might taste better, but I do not recommend this place.

Somewhat hidden, had to ask where the restaurant was located, but I am so happy I found it! The portion was generous and at a good price. We got bbq chicken with rice and veggie salad, fried chicken with rice and macaroni salad and drink. Total came to around $ 20. Highly recommend

One of the best L & L’s I have been to. Very fast service and fresh tasting food. Just expensive is their downfall. But got to love their Loco Moco!

Best l&l in kona! Fast service, clean, and good size portions. I ate at the two other l&ls in lanihau and keahou and they give way less food. Like the cold ginger chicken! This place has been consistent whenever i go.

Food use to be good and tasty when the Owner(tall Bald Asian Gentleman) was in the kitchen. However he is spending too much time out of the Kitchen so recently the only consistency of the food is how consistently bad it is, I use to eat here several times a week now I refuse to eat here as the food no longer taste the same time after time. The so called cooks in the kitchen take shortcuts on every dish. you use to get food that had flavor through out now they add ingredients at the last second so you end up with raw cold ingredients in the hot meal you ordered. They need to figure out that expediting the food means more than calling out orders over the microphone and opening package to see what the dish is. Expediting also involves checking the look of the food to make sure it meets your standards. If the only way you can put out food with standards is for the owner(and I do mean the tall bald Asian gentleman not his wife and definitely not his son) to be in the kitchen then either he needs to be in the kitchen or he needs to get cooks who take pride in the food they serve and serve food at an acceptable standard or close the doors

My family visited here while we were visiting Kona, and it was a decidedly mediocre experience. My sister tried the saimin burger and it was apparently delicious(she practically inhaled it, so I didn’t get to try, but it definitely looked appetizing), and my ramen was pretty okay. My mom’s Hawaiian Barbecue Mix was pretty gross, though — it had a mixture of unappetizing meats and not-very-good sauce. The seating was a couple of plastic picnic tables overlooking a parking lot — not the most scenic view on this beautiful island! All in all, I don’t recommend this.

Not a big fan of L&L here in California but decided to give this one a try after hearing good things about it from some locals. Good first impression when entering, everything clean and orderly. 2nd thing we noticed was the extensive menu, including a specials board with about a dozen items. Food was delicious and came out piping hot. I had the garlic shrimp and my wife had the bbq plate. Everything fresh and tasty and inexpensive. Would recommend this to anyone. Also, since it’s near a harbor, check out the size of the stuffed marlin between the gas pumps at Tesoro. Huge!
