I’m giving this a 4 star because of the staff of the center. They were very helpful as we had never snorkeled before. They helped our 8 year old identify the fish of the area. The snorkeling spot, however, was not our favorite. It was crowded and hard to see. Very hard to get out to the open water due to the rocky nature of the beach. There are so many better places to snorkel. Rent your gear from the Center and go elsewhere to snorkel.

Our favorite spot on the island. My 9 year old daughter wanted to see some sea turtles, and she was thrilled with this beach. The volunteers at the education center even let her join them as a new volunteer. They taught her so much, and she spent a few days learning and educating other beach-​goers. Now she can’t wait to go back because she has a «job» in Hawaii. Definitely an experience that she will never ever forget!
