My husband and I booked a 75 minute couples massage through a travelzoo coupon for $ 179 + gratuity. We have couples massages done on every vacation 1 – 2 times per year on cruise ships or resorts globally, so always a different place but always a consistently good experience. Our experience at this spa would have been equally as good had they done a few things differently that are very easy to fix. But first, let me talk about the parts that were done well: 1) massage therapists were good and did exactly as expected. 2) having a massage together on an ocean terrace with only the sound of the waves crashing and no music was priceless! An amazing experience! 3) loved the steam room and shower experience afterwards. 4) salt room was interesting and relaxing but they should have explained that it was basically just a room that you sit in in a recliner and it isn’t immediately obvious that there is some invisible salt in the air that you breathe in. Really just seemed like a nice dark room with nice music you sit in, so for me nothing special, but still relaxing. Now for a few things that would have made my experience a 5 star event: 1) we purchased what we thought was a couples massage for 75 minutes. However, the massage only lasted 50 minutes. I’m not sure why. However, when we arrived I recall the receptionist immediately making some excuse before we even checked into our session about how the massage we had paid for was actually not as advertised but that the therapists would make good on the promise of the ad at no extra charge. So maybe that was why the massage only lasted 50 minutes? No clue. 2) the hot tub on the balcony — I thought we were going to be able to use it while there on the balcony during our massage session. However, neither of the therapists not the receptionist told us we could get into it before or after our massage. Additionally, the balcony where the massage is given is in full view of all of the hotel rooms and some public areas at the hotel, so, I wasn’t comfortable stripping down and being completely nude in everyone’s view… The public walkway to the ocean from the balcony is literally 50 feet from the balcony and we even waved to my brother and his girlfriend who were walking back there. 3) the hotel needs to invest in some privacy bamboo shades for this outdoor massage balcony so that the outdoor hot tub can be fully enjoyed in privacy. 4) the hotel staff needs to not overbook the balcony massages to allow for the outdoor hot tub to be fully enjoyed by each couple. We noticed another couple was waiting in the hallway to go to the balcony massage at literally 3:05 pm(our massage was at 2 pm). Massages should be booked 1.5 — 2 hours apart so that the 75 minute massage can be enjoyed and so can the hot tub. 5) staff should instruct couples to enjoy the hot tub before or after their massage or both and properly set expectations for the full experience upon arrival. Most spas do this. 6) salt room– I would have liked to understand more about what to expect from this therapy and how to more fully enjoy it before just being told to go in there. All of the above are easy fixes in my opinion and would have easily made my experience a 5 star event. Overall, as long as the buyer fully understands up front what they are getting and what they aren’t getting BEFORE they purchase and book the package, then you should be fine. Just make sure you understand before you book your massage exactly what you are going to get. Don’t be afraid to ask a lot of questions in advance. This is a beautiful hotel and location overall. Just need to tweak a few things.

My sister and I had the 25 minute lomi lomi massage outside. Helen was just amazing and found every little knot in my neck and back! I was amazed at what she accomplished in so little time. I wish I could go there every day! My sister’s masseuse was Erica, and she was very pleased. My sister is a masseuse, so she knows a good massage. She said it was very beneficial to her recent whiplash. The salt room is very relaxing to spend time in.

This was my first real spa experience… and it was amazing! I started on the lanai overlooking the ocean for a long massage. Having the waves in the background was just so wonderful and relaxing. Strangely enough, I think the better part of this experience was the facial afterwards. This, unfortunately, takes place in a windowless room. But for the entire 60 minutes you are pampered and taken care of. It’s quite wonderful. They also showed me into a salt room that I could have relaxed in… but it seemed a little too spa’y for me(nice looking though.) If you happen to stay at a Wyndham timeshare… be sure to bring you discount card. You’ll get 25%.

Expensive but worthwhile. The Lomi Lomi Deep Tissue massage was $ 140 for 50 minutes, but I was in heaven, especially after days of hiking. Suzie was amazing. It was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I used the Steam Room and the Salt Room. My only complaint is that the treatment room was slightly too bright. Also when I asked about the Sauna, I was told that it would take a while to get started, so I never tried it. Facilities were definitely adequate.
