Cute café serving excellent food. Had the Caveman bagel which was absolutely delish! Nice size serving accompanied by a couple slices of fruit and small slice of banana bread.

This is a vegan/vegetarian/GF kind of café/bakery. I didn’t try any of their baked goods, but I LOVED their mermaid drink with pineapple juice(as they ran out of apple juice). It was sweet, refreshing and quite energizing. Unfortunately, I didn’t like their latte as it tasted burnt and bitter. I’d go back for their juices and perhaps banana bread though.

Hidden gem behind the hustle of the Main Street of Kona. We started our first morning here splitting a ghandi bagel and coffee. Very filling and absolutely healthy and delish. We loved their bagels so much we bought them to enjoy at our condo for the week. Also love that the staff is a full supporter of their vegetarian and vegan menu and in support of the lifestyle. If you traditionally shy away from vegan food, you should shake it off and give this place a try.

It’s a vegan place in kona. I actually really liked they offer vegan breakfast. Most vegan places just offer sandwiches and such which frankly is more lunch than breakfast. I got the Gandhi bagel sandwich on gluten free everything bagel. The food was good albeit too rich with cream and melted cheese and lacked a bit of seasoning. I would have made it with pesto(chucked the cream cheese) and seasoned the tofu(a little lemon and salt goes a long way) and then added the daiyya cheese. We also got cold pressed juice(rainbow) which was delicious!

After pizza at Get Some we grabbed a few treats for the kids. A brownies, a few cookies and a loaf of banana bread with macadamia nuts and chocolate chips. I had a chocolate chip cookie with mac nuts and tried the brownie as well. The loaf was sliced up as well later that day and everything we had was top notch and super tasty. Headed back there in a few days for more goodies!

Gluten free chocolate chip macnut cookie was so good with our ice coffees with coconut milk!!! And serve was awesome even though we came in a few minutes before opening.

Kind of pain in the ass. It took forever to place our order and get our food. I understand I am a mainlanders and used to faster service but his was SLOW. I guess if you are vegan you might like it here but we are not. Ordered 2 egg and cheese on a bagel. Bagels were good, I don’t know what they did to the eggs some weird spices/onions/basil/something weird in it. We just wanted eggs on a bagel and it was more like an omelet that was way overpriced. Would not go back here even for coffee.

Ordered a Vegan Birthday Cake at Evolution. Needed to pick it up on a Sunday, but we flew in on Sunday and could not check into where we were staying until later in the day. The space occupied by the Bakery in the morning is occupied by a restaurant in the evening. The owners made sure I could pick up the cake from the restaurant at night. Not only did they provide great customer service, the cake was among the best vegan cakes I have had. It was moist and full of flavor. We decided to have dinner at the restaurant when we picked up the cake. Dinner was very good too.

We came here for take-out bagel sandwiches to pack on a hike. I don’t recommend doing that, actually, because their sandwiches are HUGE open-face affairs and not easily packable. That said, they are delicious. We really regretted not making it back here for breakfast another day.

Evolution Bakery & Café offers a refreshing retreat from the traditional tourist fare. It’s tucked away off the main drag(Ali’i Drive) so it’s quiet(but still buzzing with business). We ordered the breakfast bagel sandwiches and the portions were perfect and included some fresh fruit and a slice of the banana bread. The coffee is outstanding.

Was looking for a good hearty breakfast and found the Evolution Bakery & Café. Ordered the Warrior Bagel and Tiki Mana. The Warrior Bagel itself was very tasty with the garlic spread, spinach, egg and tomatoes. It was a bit over toasted(some burnt edges) but didn’t ruin the taste. The Tiki Mana smoothie was really refreshing with the Strawberry, Apple, and Banana. Overall, it was a great experience and would definitely come back to try some of their other Bagel combinations and smoothies.

Nice bakery connected to another café so it’s a bit confusing when you walk in. Make sure to get in early, because the selection is better. They also have a lot of vegan options and probably the only place around the area that sells vegan baked goods. Other than that, their smoothies are worth trying!

We came here for breakfast before we left Kona. They have some great bagel options. We picked out the lava salt bagel, which I highly recommend. It had great flavor and the bagel was topped with lots of veggies. Perfect to split because it was so large. We split the bagel and the mermaid magic juice. The mermaid magic was yummy as well. This place has a lot of options if you want vegan or gluten free. Before we left I ordered a breakfast dessert! A peanut butter chocolate cookie. It’s was large and amazing. This place is nestled in the shopping center and is pretty easy to find.

Pretty good GF bagel and GF cookies will go back for the pizza. Nicely tucked away off Ali’i Drive with plenty of parking in the back this bakery shares a spot with another business(pizza, I believe). Can’t wait to go back to sample more of their delicious food.

Weekend trip to Kona. We found this place on Unilocal by typing in VEGAN, my daughter is vegan. We had juices and smoothies and a bagel. They were all delicious. I went back on our last morning and picked up more juices to start the day! Service is a bit slow because they make everything to order so everything is very fresh! We had the: Trancendental, Mauka Mama, Peles Kilauea & Super Natural High All amazing!!!

Stopped by Evolution Bakery to grab some treats for hiking the volcano… Brownie — all kinds of awesome w/a nice chew factor to it & although it was a little dry, there was a chocolate ganache-coconut topping that made it all fudgy & delish Everything bagel w/lettuce tomato sprouts cucumber carrots & garlic cream cheese. The bagel was piled way too high & it was very difficult to eat — the toppings kept sliding off the bagel & all over the ground. The taste was spot-on but maybe a smaller sandwich that is manageable to eat would be better? Banana bread — amazeballs! Have to say we were fans but will need to learn a more efficient way to eat their sandwiches
