The best Mexican Food in the area. We look forward to Taco Tuesday for ono Shrimp Tacos and Fish Tacos. Their burritos and nachos are excellent also. Very nice owners.

Stumbled upon Estrada Surf n’ Turf while staying at the Sheraton Kona. Ordered a Fish(Ono) Taco and a Chicken Taco. Both were delicious! Simple, cheap and tasty!

Mmmmm loved the garlic shrimp tacos! The tacos carnitas are amazing, and the most authentic! LOTS of fish in the fish tacos! This little trailer is worth finding! We found them today at Lymons and asked where to find them: They park at Alii Garden Marketplace Tues, Thurs and Sat., the Sheraton on Wed., and Lymons on Sunday. enjoy!

I had a very pleasurable experience at Estrada’s today. I am a HUGE taco lover and have been on a quest to find good ones in the Kona area. Estrada’s did not let me down. My friend had the 3 carne asada tacos which were good, but I liked the 3 I had better which were the fried chicken taco, fish taco and garlic shrimp taco. Mine were on homemade tortillas, but the carne asada tacos were not. If Estrada’s had homemade salsa instead of the bottled stuff I’d give an extra star. I will definitely be back. I’m so glad there’s a good taco truck nearby, gracias!

A Mexican(sort of) food truck(actually just a trailer) that is parked in front of the Living Stones Church sometimes(I don’t know where else they park). I tried Carne Asada Taco(steak), Fish Taco(Baja style), and Ceviche(available on Fridays and Saturdays). Not really authentic Mexican taste, but not bad for Kona(I have yet to find an authentic Mexican here). Two tacos tasted fresh and fine, just not really Mexican. But I would rather eat here than franchise so-called-Mexican restaurant. Ceviche, I would skip(it was fresh enough, but they put carrots(lots of it) in their ceviche, which I have never seen before). For much better ceviches, go to Ceviche Dave’s(near Costco)(12⁄24UPDATE: apparently Ceviche Dave’s is closed now). In California, I go to taquerias that make their own tortillas, so rating a Mexican food in Kona is difficult and perhaps unfair. There is an ocean view, at least. Nevertheless, a OK rating from me.
