When your server tells you, «if you like velveeta you’ll like the nachos,» Bruh! Head for the hills not because of a tsunami but because it sucks here so bad you’d wanna kick everyone in the shins. Then if you overhear the server tell another customer that their burgers are«decent» that should be another indication that you should really just starve to death, everyone dies anyway. What a complete waste– waste of everything, of money, time, meal and the energy it takes to chew and convince yourself that it’s actually ok but it’s really not. I get it, airport food isn’t a gourmet experience(not unless you’re in the Virgin America terminal in SFO) but it should at least be edible. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich– it tasted like canned pork– that’s been diced and grinded– nothing pulled or pork about it– THISISSOYUCKYONSOMANYLEVELS! Not ok! Even the drinks sucked. They did earn a star for being nice but then you’re in Maui– everyone is kinda nice.

My wife and I first visited Maui back in February 2015. When we were ready to return home, we decided to eat at Stinger Ray’s in the airport because it looked like the least of the evils. I travel a lot on business and I have come to hate airport food(except at a couple notable airports) and hate to have to dine at any airport restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the food at Stinger Rays. Fast forward to this past December. We again had visited Maui and found ourselves at OGG with time to eat lunch. We had the tuna steak sandwich and the ono fish and chips. The tuna was as good as any I have had anywhere and we would boldly put the fish and chips right up along with the ones at Candy Kitchen Seafood Kitchen in Kihei. We were also very pleased with our server, Misty.

Reviewed: 2014/May(restored from lost profile) «Teriyaki pineapple burger and fries were pretty good. Service wasn’t very good but there were only two servers for the entire place and it was pretty busy. She did bring two plates for us to split the burger though, which was more than we expected.»

Wow! Service is horrible. Didn’t get served for at least 30 mins and then the waitress told us we can go to the bar to get anything we want even though her job was to take our order. Went straight to the bar to order drinks. Never again.

Went here just before a flight back home. Food was overpriced, disgusting(sent it back because it was inedible), and I’m now hugging the toilet with food poisoning. It’s too bad there’s almost no options in the OGG airport… But next time I will just buy some trail mix from the store and wait it out till I get home. Avoid at all costs.

Had the Ahi poke bowl, very disappointing. Didn’t like the taste and was expensive. I didn’t have any other choice this place was closest to my Gate and I had an hour before my flight. Probably good for grabbing drinks but I will not get food for here.

Got DIY-style Cesar salad(seriously, none of ingredients were sliced yet) with a veeeery strangely tasting chicken and two fish and chips plates for… $ 60. Two stars goes to waitress which was really nice and friendly(warned me politely that almost all fish dishes here are raw, which imo is a big no no for a before-flight meal.

No, no, no, no. Cold cheese on a nacho. Pretty tough messing up on a $ 15 nacho. Nice server but terrible, terrible food. Keep on walking down the corridor.

We thought this looked like a nice place to grab a bite before our flight. We got the quesadilla and Cobb salad with chicken and iced teas. The tea tasted really weird(girlfriend described the flavor as wet smelly feet, which I guess was as good a description as any). We asked the waitress if it was flavored and she just confirmed it tastes«yucky» and got us two bottled teas instead. The food was prompt, but was pretty bad. Both of us ate just enough to survive before throwing in the towel. We had a lot of expensive meals in Maui, but usually they were worth the price. I wouldn’t eat here again even if they lowered the prices. The service was okay, but I honestly kept expecting Jon Taffer to show up and start yelling at everybody because I just couldn’t believe a place would have such terrible food and beverages and still be in business.

We were getting ready for our flight home and wanted to grab a bite. I ran to this place because it was there and ordered my wife and I the turkey club ciabatta. It was ready super quick and packed perfectly. When we boarded and started eating, we were both blown away. It was one of the best turkey clubs, ever. Great bread. Really tasty. And we both loved the chips. I ate it right away, my wife about 30 minutes later and we agreed on the quality. Only downside was the fact it was a bit pricey my guess due to airport restaurant pricing. Definitely would recommend that sandwich.

My wife and I ordered dinner as takeout from here yesterday before our flight off of Maui. We decided to get our food from here because we really didn’t have much of a choice as there are not many places to eat in the airport. I ended up ordering the Hawaiian Chicken BBQ sandwich with fries as the side while my wife went with the shrimp cobb salad. It took maybe 10 – 15 minutes from placing our order to us getting our food which I was pretty pleased with. Our total cost ended up being just over $ 36 and we took our food onto the plane. Here is where I can say that my review may not be the best review to use as I didn’t eat my food for about an hour and a half after I ordered it. By the time I did eat it my fries were soggy and the sandwich except for the BBQ sauce was not very good. Giving it the benefit of the doubt and the fact that I didn’t eat right away, I’d have to say that the food alone was a-ok and worth 3 stars. However I thought the meal was quite overpriced for what we got and my rating also reflects that. So the bottom line for me is that I would probably stop by here again if I am ever at OGG. It’s not necessarily that I would choose to, but given the fact that it’s one of your few meager options, I suppose it got the job done.

Nice place to stop and eat at in airport. I had the aloha burger and blue Hawaii drink. Aloha burger has pineapple, cheese, bacon and avocado. It was really good. The blue Hawaii was ok. It was $ 10. I think I would have been better with a beer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall 4 stars

Shitty, horrible, pathetic customer service. Sat at the table for 10 minutes waiting to be served with my family very close to the bar. Had no acknowledgement that we were even there been though 4 servers were present. One was too busy speaking with the bar attendant to even notice we were there. When I did confront a waitress, she walked away like I wasn’t speaking to her. After looking at the other reviews, perhaps I was saved from having their terribly reviewed food. A waitress finally went to the table right after we left to place the menus back in their holder.

I’ve only visited Stinger Ray’s once, but there will not be a second time. The food was priced the same as quality meals, however, none of us were served quality meals. I ordered the Hawaiian pork nachos and couldn’t even eat more than a few bites(even though I was super hungry before my eight-hour flight). The food looked gross and tasted just as awful as it looked. The chips were stale and hard. The sauces and pork on the nachos tasted nothing like the delicious Hawaiin pulled pork I had tried during my stay in Maui. The cheese was also processed and very unappetizing. i would recommend steering clear of this restaurant, especially before a flight.

A little pricey but the convenience of being at the airport and having a fee drinks before our flight was very nice. The wait staff was friendly and on point.

We got our food to go so my review is solely about the food. Tiny portions and way overpriced. I got the turkey sandwich, the sandwich wasn’t that bad, but the fries were old and hard. I got 4 Cesar salads for my family and it was 4 leaves of romaine lettuce with 3 or 4 chicken pieces on top and a cups slices of bread, pitiful! My youngest daughter had the wings, she said those were ok, but again, small portion, she had maybe 5 or 6 wings. My overall opinion? What a ripoff!

Stay away from this ‘restaurant’ in the airport they have fruit flies in their liquor and the bartender is a kunt with a capital C.

Service is good but wow! It’s expensive and the food is terrible! Don’t eat here… drinks are pricey but it’s an airport so you know in advance its gonna be pricey! Trust me on the food… we are a group of 6… everyone ordered something different and everyone had a pretty poor meal. It was funny at first until the bill came!

This is an airport restaurant that slings food and drink to passengers readying to leave Maui. I went with a friend to get a bite to eat before our flight. I ordered the Loco Moco and she got the fish tacos. My friend was wowed by the tacos, saying they were the best tasting fish tacos she had ever had(though I admit she has never eaten the fish tacos I make at home). At 21 bucks for the plate, I hoped she liked them! She asked for a glass of water, no ice and lots of lemon and that is exactly what she got. My Loco Moco was good… two large scoops of rice, a large beef patty topped with tasty and not too-salty gravy with two fried eggs done just right. I also asked for an ale on tap and it was perfect. We sat at the bar and the bartender was kind, accommodating and not pushy. The food was decent, the prices were high as expected and the experience before our flight was just fine.

Looks like a nice place to grab a glass of wine before departure, if only they would have let me. I was turned away at 9:25pm without so much as an apology. Yes, that’s right 9:25pm at an international airport with no fewer than 6 flights departing between then and midnight from this very concourse, say nothing of the other. Oh, and there was also a flight delayed until 4am! I guess one bad part of the Island spirit is a genuine parochial attitude, even at the airport. I love Hawaii, but this is still America people! And it’s an airport, after all.
