DANGER!!! This place is a health hazard! Theres only one star because I have to. !! My partner and I got really bad food poisoning from this place for 4 days! We should’ve have know not to eat the food when what we picked out from the buffet was barely warm. We ate a couple bites but could not stomach it, threw away all our food and got out of there! Unfortunately we caught the wrath anyway. It was terrible. I would definitly warn anyone walking into this place in the future, it could hospitalize you. You can plan on spending $ 28 bucks for two to get sick here. The health department should visit this place for sure. The woman who served us was also not very friendly. Time for a new job lady! YOU’VEBEENWARNED!!!

non pleasant staff. if you want business at least smile and say hello but no just an impatient look that makes u wanna leave. but I wanted to try their seafood veggie mein. what can I say about this dish… not deserving of any ratings. it was meh just like the service. I’m surprised that they’re still in business. Oh and their tables were sticky and dirty. YIKES! two members of their staff weren’t doing anything but eating their dinner in the corner while rice and crumbs took up residence on the tables. I was kinda upset but it was cold outside and just dusted the rice on one of the«cleaner» tables off. yeah not a very warm welcome or pleasant staff and the food ain’t that great either. sorry but not sorry.

Siu’s has been in the Maui Mall for a long time. I never patronized this place much until I found that they have the best cake noodles on the rock. On top of that, they also serve a variety of hot selections. Unfortunately, Maui’s Chinese restaurants are very few and far between. ATMOSPHERE: Open-air, total hole in the wall, small space with a few tables. MENU: They offer a variety of Chinese selections Panda Express-style, as well as made to order dishes. FOOD: House Cake Noodle — My fave dish here and the best on the rock. The noodles are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The gravy has a good savory flavor and is full of veggies and chicken. Chow Mein — Pretty good with a very mild flavor. Great as a main meal or side dish with other foods in the hot trays. Gau Gee Mein — Clear veggie-tasting broth, won tun with pork stuffing, thin noodles topped with won bok & char siu. The temp of the dish was hot but not searing unfortunately. Roast Duck — Succulent, tender meat and delicious skin. Yum. SERVICE: The staff are generally friendly and the service is quick. OVERALL: The best cake noodles on Maui and a damn good roast duck.

This place didn’t deserve a star. The food was horrible and old. We had the duck, orange chicken, fried rice, noodles, katsu chicken, and 1 drink for $ 27 for 3 orders. The other reviewer was right. Service is just as bad as the food. I asked for extra napkins and the owner gave me a very angry look. At least the horrible food matched the bad service, so I don’t feel bad with this review. I had a stomach ache eating here but no food poisoning, so I’m very thankful. I’m very lucky to be alive after eating at Siu’s! Seriously, we will never return because of sanitary issues. It’s filthy and who knows how they prepare their food. Maybe, the flies led me to eat here because I can’t figure out how I ended up wasting my money here. I’m usually not this rough with my reviews but it was just such a bad experience that I felt obligated to warn my fellow Unilocalers and the public. Go to Whole foods when in the area next time.

The Chinese food here is ok, nothing totally special, but what would you expect from a mall joint? I’m not dissing Siu’s it’s ok, seriously, I have no problems taking anyone there, even if they are Chinese food aficionados, because this is just a casual dive. The foods good, it has flavor, and they do a good job. If you want gourmet Chinese then don’t go here, if you got the munchies from shopping, then hey, it’s all good. 3 stars.

Flat out, I just need to say that the food at Siu’s was not good. My wife and I were at Maui Mall, were both hungry, and saw that Siu’s was full. We took it as a good sign and decided to get a quick lunch there. We decided to just share a plate for $ 8. Got chow mein, fried rice, eggplant, and sweet and sour pork. Everything tasted really oily, bland, and the pork was just really fatty and rubbery. My wife and I didn’t say a word about what we were eating until I said, «I’m done eating that really subpar Chinese food.» And then her response was, «ITWASREALLYSUBPAR!» For the rest of our weekend trip to Maui we would say stuff like, «This is waaay better than that subpar Chinese» or «Make sure you pick somewhere that is not subpar like that Chinese food.» I don’t usually write reviews this rough but this food was bad.

We ordered black bean chicken, beef broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, and fried rice. Food was okay, portions were good, price was reasonable. No atmosphere, staff didn’t chat with us, but we were hungry, so that was fine.

DONOTWASTEYOURTIME! Went to visit for lunch with a friend yesterday. First off I should say that«we» greeted the counter help when they finally looked at us waiting in line. As if they were too busy talking to eachother that they had«no time for us» should have been my first clue! Not friendly at all. Once we received our food the owner was standing in the middle of the aisle talking to another staff member of the restaurant and would not move, so we had to walk around the other way to get to the table. The back table was covered with personal items and looked as if they lived in the restaurant. We sat and watched people come in and out and the counter help did not greet anyone, as the line got to about 4 people and the owners sat in the corner booth and did nothing to help but kept talking to each other. If you notice everything has a price tag written on it and left out in the open. The drinks were very expensive and when we were done eating we asked for a bag for our meals and they wanted to charge us $.25 for a bag! Seriously! A bag that you got for $.02 and now selling it for $.25? Had this horrible feeling that this food was cooked with NOCAREORCONCERN of who was eating it and only care was for $$$$$! I will never go here again and will let other people know that this is how they treat guests!

I wanted to go to the Thai restaurant next door, but it was closed at the time so I settled for this place. I’ve had a lot of mediocre chinese food but this place takes the cake– the food was clearly old, congealed and carelessly prepared. They should be ashamed of the quality! I got a general sense that nobody gave a crap about the sad state of the restaurant. The tables were dirty and what seemed like the owner and his family were camped out in the back booth with a mountain of junk. This place just seems to be thriving off of foolish cruise ship passengers who don’t know any better and the occasional mistake — maker(me). You can get WAY better food at the thai place next door, or even at Whole Foods around the corner. Don’t waste your money or your appetite here!

Had lunch here yesterday and ordered the two item combo of char su pork and duck with fried rice. The duck was good(moist and very lightly salted), but the server gave me some simply horrendous pieces. In fact they tried to hide the bad pieces below two or three decent pieces on top. I think they did this because I was one of the first to order the duck and they wanted to save the good pieces(the breast part) to entice customers arriving later. Not cool. Although I know many chinese places are notorious for this. The char su was okay, but the sauce was too think and some of the pieces were 80% fat. The rice was probably the best thing on the plate, but did not make up for my disappointment with the other items. Needless to say I think they could have done a lot better than what I was served and at $ 7.95 for a two item plate, I expect much more.
