Jupiter Medical Center Thrift Shop

The thrift store is nice and often has amazing finds. I have loved visiting over the years when I make my biannual trip to Jupiter, however, on a recent visit, two elderly women employees were quite rude. I found a nice decorative pillow in the store, but it did not have a price tag. A male employee came by and I asked for help to find the price. He was very polite and told me to take it to the checkout counter. I did. There was another gentleman at the register and he was nice, too. I asked about finding the price and the two «ladies» who were standing a few feet away near the jewelry counter started talking very loudly saying, «I hate people who don’t follow the rules. You can’t get the pillow. It has to go to the back room and it will be priced on our time. Do you think we have time to go look up prices for you? What’s wrong with people! Learn to follow rules! » I was in the store with my elderly mother, who lives here, and my sister. None of us had ever encountered anyone so rude here before and had no knowledge of «the rules». I was mortified and paid for my items and left. The place has unique finds and used to be one of my favorite places, but these rude women have lowered my opinion of the place. There is no excuse for bad manners.

This is a nice thrift store… though, I don’t know who the marketing genius is that has now changed the Saturday hours to 9 – 2 but, I’d say they deserve an ”F” in Economics!

This place is wonderful! All the volunteers are so sweet and funny! The prices are amazing, too!

They have a good selection of clothes if you’re looking for items for work. Lots of great jewelry, books and knick knacks, too. I recommend shopping here and will return soon.
