Bates Exterminating

I called Bates Exterminating and within a half hour they had someone at my place of business. The technician was polite, professional and explained to me everything he was going to do from start to finish. I would also like to compliment the ladies on the phone. Super sweet and professional. I would recommend Bated to anyone! Thank you!

I had sugar ants in my kitchen. I called Bates Exterminating and they came to my house that day. Now, THAT’S SERVICE. Not only did they get rid of my ant problem, they also called me to be sure the ants were gone. Again, GREAT SERVICE! And, then they called me again to make sure my ant problem had been taken care of. THAT’S RARE! I would highly recommend them. Very, Very Professional Company!

If I could use zero stars I would have. I own a condo that we rent out. The tenant had bed bugs and when he moved out, we threw all of the furniture, (it was a furnished rental) and had Bates in for the service. A few days later I went into the apt and still saw bugs still crawling on the wall and still alive. They said they eventually will die. They also said they have a «30 day guarantee». which was very confusing. Was the guarantee of the contract for the price? While the contract said they will guarantee their work… anyway, before the 30 days were up we had them in again, and they sprayed again. The condo was empty for 6 weeks while we waited for another tenant. In the mean time we had the condo professionally cleaned, and had the carpets cleaned.
This past weekend our new tenant moved in and within 2 days he was getting bit by bed bugs. Apparently they weren’t dead, and because nobody was living in the apartment up to that date, we didn’t t know this. When we called Bates, they said… uh…the 30 days were up and for an additional $ 400 they would go in and spray again. They obviously couldn’t do the job the first 2 times they were there. They charged $ 695 for the first job. (This was a 1 bedroom apt). I am outraged by their lack of professionalism to honor their guarantee without additional money.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR BED BUGS! They are ineffective. And they do not honor their contract without additional $$$.
