Avoid this place. I went in for a shampoo, haircut and blow dry with Karly last week. She spent a total of 30 minutes with me and still charged me $ 70. She clearly wanted to get me out of her chair as quickly as possible, even though I showed up to the appointment early! I have very thick hair, so a decent blow out alone takes at least 20 minutes. She didn’t take the time to provide any aspect of quality service. I could have gotten the same service at Super Cuts for less than half the price. I was so disappointed. The worst part is that I still tipped her to be polite! Avoid this place, or at least avoid Karly. Maybe some of their other stylists have higher standards.

I consider myself an expert at how customers should be treated at salons. My mother was a stylist and until she passed I didn’t need to look elsewhere. This place is horrible! Was referred to Aspen Falls by Aveda. Found out they don’t even stand behind the salon only allow them to use their name because Aspen Falls pays to. Aveda does nothing with complaints against a business. I frequented an Aveda salon in Wisconsin that was wonderful. This one has all looks but no class. First visit was for color touch up and cut. Stylist was more interested in talking about her boyfriend and checking her phone. She was new so I tried to ignore it. Realized she cut off more hair than asked for and also messed up my color(even though I gave her the formula used at my salon in Wisconsin. Four days later I called and complained. Jessica put me with a different stylist told me that she’d correct it — said it would be a ‘master’ stylist. She would fix cut and color at no charge. I asked if she was good at color because I wanted highlights too… asked how much they would be. Jessica said 80 to 100. «master» stylist said color & cut fix was a freebie — also would throw in an eyebrow tint. Told me highlights would cost 100. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair — same picture I showed the girl four days ago. When I left there were no highlights. Complained as I was paying and asked for a manger — not there. Jessica told me that they had policies that did not agree with how she handled me when complaining about first visit — it was only to keep from refunding my money for the nonexistent highlights. After several phone calls and not getting any return from owner — I filed a complaint with BBB. Save the headache, heartache and money — GOELSEWHERE. This place is awful.

I decided to try Aspen Falls Salon & Spa, since I am a big follower of Aveda products, and the salon has a good local buzz about it. It is located in a trendy yellow shopping plaza, in Jupiter. The scent of peppermint, lavendar and the cool temperture welcomed me into the lobby, where I received a warm welcome from Madison. She offered me peppermint tea, while I waited for my stylist — which only took about 3 minutes. I was introduced to a stunning blonde name Sarah Beech, who ushered me past the spa room, a flowing wall fountain, and deep green curtains to her station, made of antique wood furnishing and a very cool handing mirror. I have deep auburn hair with blonde highlights, about mid-length. I was ready for a change, plus I was way overdue for a cut. Sarah really listened, which impressed me, we talked about what I like about my hair and what I was willing to change. WOW! Aside from just being so professional and nice, Sarah is an exceptional colorist and stylist. First, we did a beautiful congnace color base, then low-lights in a lighter shade and then blonde highlights. The exciting part was a couple of deep copper red strands hidden in the base color on just my left side. All the shades gave my hair so much depth and beauty, which she also moisturized with Aveda products, and their the hair gloss. The different color processes, took a couple of hours — and I at 2:00 p.m. I was starving. Madison brought me a menu to the chic restaurant next door, I ordered — and it was delivered, and brought to the station, where I cheerfully devoured everything, while the color set. It was such fun! Since I was meeting friends for Happy Hour nearby at 4:00 p.m., Donna, the make-up artist offered to refresh my makeup at no charge. Yes! My day at Aspen Falls Salon was fabulous! I loved the classy professionalism of everyone, and I really look terrific when I left — with all my favorite Aveda products in a beautiful emerald green bag. I would highly recommend the salon!

I will be reviewing my massage experience at Aspen Falls. I knew from the website and the chalkboard at their door that massages were $ 15.00 off during March. Great! I was offered some tea while I waited in a busy lobby. Mary came to get me to take me to the spa area. There were two large comfy chairs there. I wondered why I had not been brought here to relax instead of the chaotic lobby. They have a shallow bowl for you to swish your feet around in while they ask you medical and other questions. I was asked where I hold stress. I told and showed Mary. She then asked how I liked massage pressure. I said medium to firm. She said, «oh, well we have you booked for the therapeutic massage which is only light to medium. Would you like to upgrade?». I told her no. Incidentally, I had a massage here about a year ago and they tried to upgrade me at that time too. Mary showed me my room. The massage was hardly relaxing. Her movements were very fast not soothing. I felt like she was in a race with another therapist. She did not address the areas I had pointed out when she questioned me. The total time spent on my neck at the very end was about 2 seconds — which with her style was 5 strokes. There was no massage of the face or ears. When I got up off the table, I felt the same as when I came in. I will add that Mary had to use her own phone to play music during the massage. There is no sound system. The music sounded horrible. And I heard the same songs repeat at least 3 times. Lastly, the music did not eliminate sounds from the salon area. Very distracting. At checkout I was given my total bill. I said, «Is that with the $ 15.00 off?». The attendant’s response was«oh». There was no apology for this error. Here we are half way through a month of taking $ 15.00 off 60 min massages, and client is the one to tell you about it? Gratuity is cash only. There is an ATM machine in the lobby of this spa. Creepy. If you are looking for more of a spa experience, I would not recommend Aspen Falls.

I love Aspen Falls! Every year or so my best friend and I make the trip down from Orlando just to have a spa day at Aspen. We get the Rocky Mountain High — manicure, pedicure, massage and facial. The girls are always super nice and fun to talk to. I look great and feel amazing when I leave. After that we head to the beach or some really cool local tiki bars. By bestie and I call it «Best Day Ever» and try to go as often as we can. Totally beats strip mall type services by a mile!
