Do you have any idea how very bad your customer service is? I was there this evening June 22, 2016 around 8:30 and have never been treated so badly in a store before. The young man never cracked even a hint of a smile was rude discourteous and acted like he was in pain. I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know about my experience. This young man should be fired quickly before your sales go further down. You have you have a nice store and have put a lot of money into it and your business is being ruined by people who serve like this.

Anything salmon here’s your place.
Not just food items, but clothing, cooking utensils and even cards with salmon are available here. The salmon is harvested nearby and brought ashore just a few feet from the store. Then processed on site. In the back of the store if you come in early enough you can watch from several large windows all the different stages of handling the fish. They offer different flavors of smoked salmon and will even ship if don’t want to travel home with it. Samples are also offered to help you make your decision.

I really love the cold smoked fish here, so good, but too bad I was scared to purchase it, since they need to be refrigerated.
I got some ghost pepper salt here, so good, but beware, don’t touch your eyes.
I also got a beer soap here from my friend.

My husband and two daughters and I visited TAKU a couple of times last month.
It’s a nice store with much to offer AND it’s next– door to Twisted Fish and RIGHT ON THE WATER next to the cruise ships in case you are short on time.
We bought stuff. :)
I had a list of wished-​for gifts and most on my list wanted smoked Salmon.
Did you know there is cold-​smoked and hot-​smoked Salmon?
I didn’t and I’m a former Alaskan.,
I know the difference among Salmon but I didn’t know the difference between cold and hot smoking.
Fortunately, the helpful and knowledgeable staff at TAKU does and they offer samples.
Altogether, I hauled a few pounds of smoked Salmon home and bought my daughters some cute and useful keepsakes AND had lunch next door and my gifted recipients are still thanking.

My wife and I are serious foodies and extreme health nuts. Taku is the BEST! I’m honestly not sure if it gets any better. The quality is 5 star or better. It is worth every penny!!!

Great place to pick up gifts for people back home! Prices are very reasonable (especially at the end of the season) and the selection is varied. It’s not only fish, either! I picked up a few packages of salmon for folks back home — could not try any because I’m allergic. You can also see them slicing and dicing through some glass windows — the fish looks like high quality, not the leavings that somebody left behind.
It’s very close to the dock in Juneau and worth a stop. Having shopped for salmon all over the place during our cruise, this place seemed the nicest.

The lox samples tasted pretty good so I spent a small fortune to have some shipped home. Just tell them what day to ship your salmon and they take care of the rest. I can’t wait, my shipment arrives tomorrow.

Everything here is superior quality. Variety of lox, hot smoked product, and fresh frozen. From salmon to king crab. Its a little spendy but worth it.

Taku has the BEST BEST BEST BEST fish ever. If you want some kick-​ass salmon, you must order from them. They truly have the hookup with the best fishermen in AK. I’m going to assume if you’ve looked this up, it’s because you are on a cruise ship. You must purchase their fish when you dock in juneau, they will ship it to your house and you can freeze it and eat it all the time. You’ll be spoiled.
