We visit this place every summer while camping at June Lake. Usually a decent wait, but the lake is right there and they have a really nice gift shop adjacent. There are many good places to eat in this area, but I recommend making this place the first place you go.

My husband and I visited on a Monday. We’ve tried four times to eat here over the years and had to abort our visit due to a long wait. This time we arrived at 10:45 am and proceeded to wait an entire hour before being seated. I figured, «So what? The reviews for this place are awesome!» IOW, a long wait for a quality meal and great service is to be expected. No worries about waiting an hour here. We were finally seated at 11:48 and tried to order lunch. We were told there was another 12 minutes before they could even take our order because they were still serving breakfast. So we ordered 2 beers solely to kill time, usually I would never guzzle booze prior to 5:00 in the evening. The manner in which the beers were brought was incredibly weird. The«waiter»(heavy quotations) brought two Budweiser bottle with the top removed but still in place. Then he proceeded with his bare hands to remove the top in front of us. Um… unsanitary and grotesque, much? Now comes the even more arduous wait. No server came until 25 minutes had passed. She was pleasant enough but slow as molasses in January. She had a total of 5 tables and a small counter to serve, but wasn’t remotely up to the task of serving this(SMALL) amount of people. When we ordered another beer, it took 25 additional minutes to bring the beverage. Never mind that the beer fridge was 10 feet in front of us. Finally the meal arrived. We both ordered the Triple Club sandwich. Perhaps someone needs to tell these folks that a triple sandwich is sliced into fourths. Instead they provided a small sandwich that anyone could prepare in their microwave in about 25 seconds. It consisted of two miniscule slices of bread with various sprouts and pressed meats. The fries were excellent, however. Yet the portion was very small. I might add I am not a foodaholic, I’m a marathon runner and food is basically just fuel for me. In any case, a spectacular disappointment. I have no problem waiting an hour for an abundant, quality meal. This was a long wait, horrific service and s big bill for two tiny sandwiches.

This is the best place to eat, sleep, or fish in the Eastern Sierra’s! We usually head up there for the trout fishing opener on the last Saturday of April. The cabins at this resort are excellent, especially«The Creek House», our personal favorite. We have also had the opportunity to use the RV park, which has full hook-ups and is a little tight on space, but still does the job. There are plenty of magnificent views from Silver Lake resort, especially on a clear night, when all of the stars make themselves available. They have a community fire pit area, where every one hangs out and brags about what fish they caught, or almost caught. It does get quite cold there in the winter and is usually closed from December through April due to snow. The summers there are beautiful and quite busy, especially when it comes to the café there. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner your craving, this is the place to be! The general store in the café comes in really handy when in need of that forgotten toothbrush, some cold beer, or when just simply looking for a cool souvenir to take home. Gary and his family do an excellent job of running this place! They are very attentive and easy going. Silver Lake Resort has a live web-cam on their website, which I always use… helps me day dream, lo! We can’t wait to go back!

My boyfriend and I came here, on a recommendation from one of his coworkers… was he right on the money!!! We both had the chicken fried steak and eggs. The steak was so tender a knife was not needed. We also shared a blueberry pancake, which was also very good. But, that chicken fried steak will go down as one of the best breakfasts, I’ve ever had. The restaurant is a little small so, expect to wait a bit(totally worth the wait) but, while you wait there is a cute lil gift and bait shop to look through. Ooooo and the coffee is also very good. We will definitely will be hitting this place up on our next visit. I don’t even think I’m gonna pack breakfast food our next trip.

The place is small so get there early or eat during off peak hours. Its hidden away in the back of the shop. Food options are somewhat few in june lake area. This place was a gem. Loved my food and the people who work here were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great! I would gladly come back.

The café is connected to an interesting lttle general store and accross from beautufil Sillver Lake. If you go for one of the specialty plates, like the Jones&
