This place sucks. Do yourself a favor and get your tackle from Rick’s in Mammoth or one of the shops in Bishop. The customer service is horrible here. Snot nose kids and a grumpy azz dude running the place.

When planning a ski trip to June Mountain, I know I can always rely on Ernie’s to fill in the missing pieces. Laid back atmosphere, reasonable prices, and everything from tune ups and new gear to ski/​snowboard rentals. Picked up some really fun demo skis this weekend, sized/​adjusted perfectly and promptly in the AM before our first day. Same go-​to quality during fishing season, fully stocked with all things tackle/​equipment related.

Can’t speak for skiing but if you are fishing this shop has everything you need to catch a nice trout in one of the pristine alpine lakes up in the June Lake Loop. There is also an informed staff that wants to help you catch fish. I alway make sure I stop there when I am in that area.

Great place to rent inexpensive snow gear! We went in and rented CC skis for a few days. I also told him I was interested in buying some. He had some new skies and poles in the back and gave me a great deal. He also worked out a good package deal for my husband and friend. Very knowledgeable and Super friendly. I certainly don’t feel like I needed to track him down to get a greeting like the previous Unilocaler, but then again I’m not super needy or sensitive. The vibe I got was super chill and relaxed. Maybe next time we’re in, I’ll suggest hugs at the door

Great people! Always easy to rent here no lines. Seems like whenever my family and I get our ski gear from the local mountains we are waiting for someone to help us. We came in here with the kids and were out of there in under ½hr. They always seem to have all the little things to make your skiing experience comfortable and warm. I bought my son a face (balaclava) mask. Totally saved the day when skiing in those 18deg. Days.
We also came here in the summer for some fishing advice. Ended up buying a small pile and getting the proper bait for where we were fishing and my son caught his first few trout. What a great experience

We have been coming here for well over 30 years and have always had great service from their friendly staff, management and owners. They will give you the latest hot tips for catching the big fish, and can supply you with whatever you don’t have in your tackle arsenal! This is also the place to come in the winter for your ski and snowboard needs. What more could you ask for, especially in a small mountain town?!

The only tackle shop in town and (seemed to be) the only place in the loop where we could get a fishing license. We come to Earnies’s once a year and it’s always nice to be greeted with a warm welcome back. Staff is pretty laid back and always happy to tell you what’s getting the bites and where at.

Great shop for ski and snow board rentals and maintenance. We’ve been coming to June in winter for 11+ years. These guys are awesome. I got there before opening and called the number on the door and John was there in 5 mins. I switched out my board 2 times because of conditions and preference, no problem. They fixed my daughters board. No problem. A can do shop!
Never been in summer, but sure the service is excellent as well.
Do not hesitate to use these guys!

A great selection of items and very comfy. I am glad this is walking distance between june and gull lake for our yearly college trip.
