I’m new to JC so I didn’t have high expectations. I know this is the only show in town when it comes to good Italian food but much of what I ate tasted like it was frozen and just reheated. Especially, the meatballs. The sauce was ok, but didn’t taste fresh. My ziti was cooked perfectly and my chicken farm was good. I mean chicken farm is always a safe choice. If you’re in JC and want something other than a «chain» restaurant stop in, but don’t set your bar that high.

Service was okay, but the food left a lot to be desired. Flavors and textures were reminiscent of microwaved frozen food.

Good food, great service, nice atmosphere. My wife and I went for an early dinner so the place was empty when we arrived. The two employees that greeted us were very friendly, attentive, and quick. We started with stuffed mushrooms and fried calamari. Both were tasty, and the calamari was a generous portion. We shared a supreme pizza and chicken mori modo(I think that’s what it was called). Pasta was great with the added chicken. Pizza had good crust and lots of toppings.

My husband and i have come here a few times amd we never have had a bad experience. Its kind of like a cheap olive garden but with cooking from home. Yes some of the dishes explained by other reviews do come off as something you could defrost at home but if you’re in the mood for some spaghetti and cheesy bread and don’t feel like cooking or even want to have enough money left over for a movie date this would be a great spot. Our waiters/waitresses that we had(3 or 4) were great and ended up getting 15−20% tips. I cant speak for every single waiter/waitress since we’ve only gone the few times, but everybody seemed nice enough when we went.

Thought this place was terrible for take out, however we had a completely different experience«dining in». The stars are based on this area. Needless to say not many choices. As I always say, yet again, I come from the north east where the food is best. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Almost as good Italian food as we had in Germany. Wished the bread was better but an awesome lunch menu! A great place!

Delicious! I love local places and this place delivers. I got the veggie pizza and it was awesome. The deserts are amazing. I was pleasantly surprised to find in in JC Kansas!

Really enjoyed the food here. Great atmosphere, great waiting staff, and great food. They have a family friend atmosphere and the waitress was patient with us asking a million and a half questions. If you love Italian food I highly suggest going here!

We came here when it was slow and they had very poor service. The food was okay but too overpriced. I was disappointed when I went because I heard so many good comments. Maybe I just went on a bad day, but I won’t be back.

Bella’s in Junction City is the best Italian food in the city period, this also includes their sister restaurant in Manhattan. The food and service have always been beyond good when I’ve stopped off for a bite to eat. This isn’t a gluten free, farm raised, organic, hipster joint either, it is old school Italian-American red sauce and pasta. The classics are there, Lasagna, Spaghetti Bolognese, vodka sauce with mushrooms and chicken, Penna and the best Tiramisu I’ve had in a long time, the gelato, and ricotta cheesecake are also favorites. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone asking for a hearty meal in the JC and Manhattan area!

Traveling through Kansas this was a good stop to recharge the palate, The food was very good, portions were fine and the staff was very polite. It was only two of us and the ratings made the restaurant seem run down but it was very clean and a nice quiet atmosphere to have a great meal… which we did!

We ate lunch here, it had a great atmosphere and the food was delicious the service was good and located in the scenic part of downtown if you’re looking to wine and dine a special someone this restaurant would be great For a romantic setting, yet still casual enough for two guys to eat spaghetti on the rush.

I had the Veal Marsalla and Lori had the Chicken Parm. The food is good and has that local family owned feel to it. This is exactly what it seems to be. Well priced good food and the service was even better. We will be back.

Ericka was really a nice, friendly and helpful waitress. How it should be. I had the special — scallops & shrimps over some paste which was really good and with $ 19.99 not overpriced. Also the garlic bread was excellent(only $ 2.99). Over all I was surprised to find a spot like this in this city — I would visit them again.

Bella’s started out as a great place to go when they first arrived. But over time the quality of the food and service distinctly declined. Our last two meals there, all 3 of us ended up very sick and with horrid heartburn from the very overly garlicky food. The taste and care was gone from the dishes, and no thought or effort put into the meals as they transitioned from fresh items to frozen, pre-prepped foods. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go, even as friendly as the staff can be, because the food quality and flavor is shot.

I don’t like Olive Garden, but I like Bella’s. Junction City is lucky to have this little gem!

Food was decent but the waitress was extremely rude. She acted as though we were wasting her time with our questions about the food. When we asked about getting garlic bread, she got defensive and rudely said«I have to wait»… Not sure what that meant, as we had gotten all of our food, my husband asked if it came with the meal. She again was rude and defensive and with an attitude said they were in the oven. This could have been said earlier to avoid the conflict but instead she decided to attack us. She quickly walked away and returned not even a min later with rolls, dropped them onto the table and rudely rushed away, ignoring my sincere«thank you». The rolls were cold and most definitely not fresh from the oven. We then asked to speak to the manager and explained to him that our server was beyond rude. He apologized and said he would be our waiter for the rest of the evening. He was very apologetic and attentive. After our meal he said he was going to comp our meal as he was sorry our experience and the atmosphere set by the waitress had ruined our dinner. He then dropped off our bill for the martinis we had and we gave him our card. When he returned with our receipt we saw they had charged us for not only our drinks but our entire meal that he claimed would be comp’d. In my opinion this place has little integrity and does not hire respectable people. Whether the waitress was having a bad day or maybe we just struck a bad cord– her attitude towards us was uncalled for, especially after we were nothing but polite to her. And for the manager to tell us our meal was comp’d and then charge us for everything was also a sign of lack of integrity and disrespect for the customer.

Wow. Very surprising to have such a great Italian restaurant in a small town. Beats 90% of Italian restaurants that I visited in my life time. Even big cities best resturant would have a hard time competing with this place. A bit humbling place as far as infrastructure but I think that adds to the charm of the small city. Prices seems a bit high. A family night is very expensive, but great for couples date. I definitely stop by again.

Love it very much. Just want to find a place to have dinner for my birthday. Then I find it by searching Unilocal. The dish is as good as reviewers said and the price is so good. We only take $ 50 with my boyfriend and we are so full. The garlic bread is so good, also a kind of sweet wind which I forgot the name that the server told us. Highly recommend!

Been here twice so far… Their garlic bread is delicious! My husband and I both ordered a calzone and it was bigger than I thought! It was really good and really cheesy, which was our favorite part. Service was ok, one of the ladies grabbed us the wrong beer and the second time we were there one of the girls asked if he needed more time to think of what we wanted to eat and we said yes… She was back at our table literally a minute after… She did that twice… So I felt rushed… I noticed most Italian restaraunts like Bella’s have very dim lights and I just think it be nice to see what you’re actually putting in your mouth… Just saying. But overall it was ok.
