Cute adorable little place, the lady who helped us was attentive and very friendly! My husbands favorite music shop for supplies!

Was planning a three session lesson for my two daughters visiting from Missouri and ended up doing five sessions a piece. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! My daughters learned a great deal on both piano and guitar. I highly recommend this location for lessons and more! They have a large selection of great priced musical instruments and supplies. If she doesn’t have it, she can order it for you. Would definitely return again. Thanks so much for the help this summer!

This music shop is for EVERYONEINCLUDING music lovers and musicians! I was in there today and realized they don’t just have stuff for experienced musicians, but actually have something for every level of music ability which is great! They give lessons there too! This is probably the coolest place in Joshua Tree! Stop in at any time of day and you will probably meet a famous artist or musician that is hanging out! Also Hector the dog is usually on duty and he’s friendly too!

This store was great. We needed particular drum heads, the owner had some in stock and was able to get the others quickly. Very professional, support your local store!

Owner is extremely rude, inconsistent hours, has a need to be «right» when wrong. The one good thing is the music instructor.

I wouldn’t give this place my business. I would make my own instrument first. We went in to look for an instrument for my daughter to try for school, and the owner was rude to begin with. We were told her prices which were fine and we started to ask questions about contracts and the differences with her instruments as apposed to renting from somewhere else because I researched what questions to ask. We have never had an instrument before. Her responses were like we were bothering her. She even told us that if we bought from somewhere else and needed maintenance or repair she would charge us more. I called back a couple days later after shopping around for prices thinking maybe she was just having an off day, but no she was even ruder than before. She constantly cut me off telling me good luck and I could go somewhere else. A few times I kept asking her why she was getting upset because I was trying to find out information. She again bad mouthed other companies and told me you get what you pay for and you pay for the service. Well she is correct. I would rather drive the extra distance than to deal with this crap. If that is how you treat possible new customers I could imagine how you treat people who actually do business. I give this company 5NEGATIVESTARS

Have had nothing but positive experience doing actual business at this store. Now, sure– its possible that the owner’s mannerisms can be a little brusque– and she IS from Detroit– that is true. However, she is very fair in her pricing and has gone out of her way on several occassions to look up items that are not currently in her store, find a better deal if she can, and make a better deal on her inventory. The guitars(yes, more than one experience, here) that my husband has had repaired there were all very well done. When he had a concern about one, they took a second and third look at the problem until it was right. If you don’t like her mannerisms, thats one thing. But the actual professional service and quality are the best in the area. If you ask me, the review below sounds like a personal attack and had nothing to do with the services the store offers. Just my two cents–

Great find! We were actually looking for the Crochet Museum and the music store caught our eye. It’s pretty hard to miss the green paint job. As we walked to the front door the friendly owner opened it for us and welcomed us inside. How’s that for service. We were looking for a tuner and Corin went through and demonstrated the different ones she had in stock. She’s got guitars, instructional books, music books and other instruments and musical gadgets. Sort of a condensed version of that larger chain store where they’re sometimes rude and don’t really care about you because, you know, they’re «too cool». You know, the one that rhymes with Sitar Denter. Thankfully, you won’t get that here. This place is owner operated. Glad we found it and decided to stop. p. s. cash only
