At first I was happy with Excede. The installation was sloppy and the service is not cheap, but customer support seemed professional, courteous, and helpful. They were much more professional than the others I called. Huges was the worst. Huges acted very third world. The Huges rep used religion to try to get me to sign up. During February 2016 I ran out of data and log in my account to add a little more data to get me to the end of the month. I noticed and accepted an offer to upgrade to a faster better service. I installed the new kit exactly as instructed but could never get online. I tried for over a week with the help of different Exede(ViaSat) representatives to figure out why there was no connection with the new Excede liberty but the old plan worked great. I’m not a computer tech but I am a teacher who teaches day and night classes uses technology 9+ hours a day. I know how to follow instructions. Several of their employees went out of their way to try resourceful ways to try to solve the problem including Jeff, Jackie, Raquel and most notably Sandy. Sandy spent almost an entire hour trying to reboot the system to no avail. During these interactions I was told that this upgrade was not made for my system, should not have appeared as an option, and was suffering from multiple bugs. However, it was too late. I was told that once I hit the upgrade button I could never go back to the plan I had. However, the last tech 2 person(Alisha) I spoke with was so shockingly rude and belittling that I decided to terminate my account. They ended up charging me an early termination fee as well as a pro rated fee for the new upgraded Liberty Plan. They are greedy despicable slime bags, but they are all greedy despicable slime bags. Excede might be the best greedy despicable slime bags out there if you live away from typical services. I am now using a cheap hot spot until I find the next best greedy despicable slime bag. Hi — I created an account just to post this review. My experience with Excede’s customer service has been the worst I’ve experienced in 30+ years. I signed up for satellite Internet service + Voice(phone) in December as our new house did not have cable or any other Internet as an option. The installation tech did not install the phone service as he did not have the correct adapter. He assured me it would arrive in the mail. After two weeks, I called and was informed it would arrive in the mail. It has been over a month and no phone service adapter has arrived. No problem, I think to myself, I will just call again. I contacted Exede’s customer service branch for Voice support, this office is located in Las Vegas I was told. I spoke to CJ and later her supervisor, Antoinette. Both employees were extremely rude and unapologetic about the situation. The calltaker(CJ) demanded that I provide additional personal information in order to provide me with the Voice adapter I had never received but had now paid over a month’s rate for. I tried to count how many times I was interrupted, talked over and berated by the calltaker, but I lost count. She was condescending, and continually came across as annoyed that I was bothering her with this problem. for 30 minutes she refused to send out an additional Voice adapter to me. I asked if she could cancel the service since it was never connected, and she threatened to charge me early cancellation fees. It took me 35 minutes of talking on the phone to get her to agree to send out a Voice(phone) adapter so that I could have service. I will be cancelling my service as soon as my two year agreement is up, as I cannot afford to pay the fees for early cancellation. I would seriously, seriously consider another company for your Internet and phone needs.

Get ready for your internet to shut off at random moments throughout the day if you choose this company. You get very used to seeing the«yellow exclamation triangle» next to your signal on your computer or device, even on the clearest days. Data caps in their«unlimited» data plan are 150GB per month which is great if you only use facebook. But 150GB today is only the size of 2 PlayStation 4 games. So once you get 2 games in one month, your internet gets slowed. CenturyLink can’t come to this area soon enough.

I had to leave my new job, which I have just worked 9 years to get, to find the technician had come into my new house and had disrespected my property and my girl. She didn’t know if this man was our internet guy. Unmarked truck, no uniform, nothing. No indication that this man was our internet guy. If we take a few steps back, I was forced into getting this service due to the fact that there is no other services in our area. Not only were we forced to get this service bundled with DirectTV, we dont watch TV. They literally would not give us any internet service information without a credit card number on file. I understand Unilocal reviews mean nothing. I have worked for a certain fruity computer company for over 10 years and have currently relocated to pursue my passion. I understand that DirectTV or Exede Internet are laughing all the way to the bank due to the fact that I am forced to get this service bundled. Our technician also now understands that if he sets foot in my home and disrespects my valuables, my lively hood, my girl and my property, they will have to deal with me directly. I hope DirectTV and Exede Internet are happy with themselves. Disrespecting my property, my loved ones, and my property are uncalled for and I cannot wait for the day that this monopolized service contract is over. P. S. Exede Internet, they did a good job of damaging irreplaceable art pieces while your at work. New commercial slogan, what do you think?

We live in the country and had no other option than satellite internet. We have been very disappointed with our service. It has a very small limited data plan that we often use up before the end of the month and it is just my husband and I doing basic browsing, some YouTube ect. Netflix? Forget it. Even at the beginning of the month the Internet is so slow sometimes it won’t even load. It is very expensive to buy extra data if you use up your month as well.

First off what I will say is; if you are considering this company for internet you are like I was and have no other option. In that case, if you MUST use satellite internet this place has the best speed and functionality. Customer service is terrible, they bent the gutters on my house when the dirt bag showed up install my dish. The final showing of Exede’s appreciation of my money for two years; I called a week before I moved to make sure I was taking all the equipment I needed to return. the lady told me all I had to return was the modem and power cables. I specifically asked her if she needed the dish or anything done to the dish before I left. I was told nothing needed to be done to the dish, just leave it there, don’t touch it. After I moved 3 hours away and I call back to officially cancel I was informed that I needed to access the dish and remove the transponder, and return it. when I told the service rep about what I was told he just kept repeating himself like I was a toddler. When the supervisor came on he did the same thing, kept reading me there«disclaimer» that stated I had to return the transponder. BS! When I told them they could go get it themselves I was told I would be billed $ 300.00, which if not paid would go to collections. This company is terrible. zero stars.

Only wish I could give this company negative stars!!! Signed up with a company called Wildblue which is part of the Viasat company. Good speed, but piss poor data package. Ridiculously small. Finally cancelled with them at the end of the 2-year contract. Exede told me I didn’t have to return any equipment because it was Wildblue equipment that was out of date. Three months later a whopping bill from them for equipment not returned! Equipment is at the beach house so that means a trip up there to see if we tossed the stuff or not since we were told we didn’t need to return it. Been on hold for a supervisor for over 15 minutes now. DONOTGETINTOBEDWITHTHESEPEOPLE!!!
