Here now on a Saturday. Got here and bar tender himself tells our group that it’s 2 for 1 until 5pm. I close out and am charged for every drink because now I’m told that it’s 2 for 1 at 5 and the bar tender was mistaking. Way to pull the bait and switch guys! I won’t spend another dime in here ever. Bad business!

If you are near Joplin and you need a place to wet your whistle, do yourself a favor and seek out the O K Bar. It’s a pool hall and looks shady as shit from the outside but inside everyone is nice and civilized and they keep the drinks coming at you as fast as you can drink them.
Didn’t try the food but they do have a menu.
I could drink in a place like this every day.
And you can smoke inside, if that is something that tickles your fancy.

Love this place. I’ve been going there for years and will continue to do so. Prices are great and the staff is really nice and friendly. Great place to drink beer and play pool.

Absolutely love this place. Every time the band is in town we stop by and get some tasty fried food for cheap and $ 2 fish bowls of pbr. And the shuffleboard is better than perfect. OK gets my vote.

It is definitely a shithole, as described by another reviewer. I’m not quite as enamored with OK Bar, though. My husband played billiards there with friends in some kind of competition and I got the evil eye from a lot of the clientele, as it seems that there is a handful of trashy girls there who are regulars. They were oohing and aahing over a pool cue airbrushed with dolphins (I wish I was kidding — but I am not). It’s definitely a low rent kind of place and I didn’t feel comfortable or safe; the parking lot felt decidedly scary by 8 or 9 pm. On the plus side, they had a lot of tables, a big selection of bar food (kind of a fun novelty) and low drink prices even for Joplin.

Talk about an awesome shithole! Lots of pool tables, lots of old highschool friends. Dark and smelly, but somehow homelike and inviting. Beer is Cheap, decent jukebok, what else can you ask for. Any bar that brags about having Pabst Blue Ribbon on Tap is A-​OK in my book.
