My mother n law was in the er for almost 24 hours before they even got her a room the nurses but a few were so rude! she hadn’t eaten all day an when we got there they told her they put in a order for her food but the cooks already left so me ad my husband had to go an buy her food at 9 at night we called the nurse 5 times to take her to the bathroom an it still took them an hour to come there was only 1 nurse that wasn’t rude my mother in law the Dr yelled at my mother in law and made her feel like shit she cried because they yelled at her this is the worst hospital i have ever been to i would recommend never going there i your life!!!

Can’t speak for how the rest of their hospital is, but they have the rudest and most non attentive ER I’ve ever been to in America.

So being the duchess of a hospital… I’m not an employee so I’m not sure if that’s a good thing. It’s the only hospital in Joplin right now so if you need super fast care well your not going to get it. Not their fault. Just patients outnumber the staff by far. The staff is super freindly and helpful. The er waiting room has a vending area where my kids spend my life savings it seems… what is it with kids and vending machines? They act like it’s the best thing in the world. I think I’m going to buy one and put it in my kitchen than put all the food in. than let’s see how fun they think they are when they have to pay for their supper!!! That outta break them lol. Sorry went off the subject. The hospital has an onsite pharmacy (Mon-​Fri 9 – 5) remember this is the midwest so it’s an hour behind us east coast people. If your the lucky one to walk out on the same night, their billing department is right around the bend right before the home stretch and they nab you for your deductible or full bill. Yes they accept visa, mastercard, and that pretty little black AMEX card in your left side pocket in your wallet :) They even offer a nifty 10% discount if you pay the bill in full!!!
